  1. Telrao laughs so hard, she almost chokes on her cookie. She wheezes and slaps her thigh, trying to breathe. "That - " she gasps, "was hilarious. Chip top, mate."
  2. Telrao happily takes a bit out of a cookie. "Ow!" She says, then continues chewing. "These are so tasty! You want one?" She picks up a piece of recently stomped ice and chews on it, crunching. "Mmmmm, a bit of extra street dirt. Excellent!" She takes another bite of the cookie, then shoves the rest in.

    Driving

Sighing softly, I settle into the car seat.
I check that the Learner plates are up,
My mirrors are adjusted just right,
My hands are settled on the wheel,
Ten and two, breathe, you’ll be fine.

Dad sits in the passenger chair beside me,
And my delicate calm shatters completely.
My muscles are tense, my knuckles white,
    My breath quickens, heartbeat panicked.
I force myself to be calm.

Father tells me to turn off the safe parking brake.
I do so, my hands shaking terribly, fearful.
He says to shift the car into drive
I do, foot firmly on the brake.
Then, I slowly lift my foot.

My breath catches in my throat as we crawl forward
Ever so slowly, at a careful snail’s pace.
Dad says to go a little faster,
    I press the accelerator,
    Silently screaming in fear.

Slowly, we roll towards my first obstacles,
A sharp curb baring its teeth from my left
And a threatening branch to the right.
I carefully edge the car forward,
    Then turn the wheel precisely.

Dad smiles as we turn around the sharp corner,
Nothing bad happened, at least, for the moment.
    I release a relieved, long-held breath,
Settle my hands on the black wheel
And ready myself for another round.

    Sunset

    Head held in hands
    The stress permeates my brain.
    It infiltrates ev’ry corner
    Destroying my focus.

    I tap my pen
    Agitated, angry, stressed
The page is blank, pale, and empty.
No words will come to me.

    I stand, sighing,
Staring at that pure white sheet.
    I glance out my open window;
    The sun is now setting.

    I look outside
    Study the yellows, pinks, blues.
The swirling clouds with tumbling hues.
    Birds argue, laugh, and sing,
    Settling together, wing to wing.
    The sunlight shines
    Delicate beams of light, sublime
    To my hungry eyes.

    I rest my hand
    On the windowsill, wishing
That my cares, burdens, hurts, issues,
    Could vanish; burned up
    By the bright golden light.

    The warm sun sets,
    My mind clear, refreshed, renewed.
I sit down, smile at the paper,
Pick up my pen, and write.

    Have a wonderful day/ afternoon/ evening!

The first one made me think of a song called "Sam failed her drivers test" from a musical called the mad ones. (Pretty self explanatory).

The second one was also really good, I like your word choice, it brings lots of good imagery to my mind.

My mom has me drive home from the competitions :P

I could probably drive to them, but I prefer to calm my nerves and just think.

  15. Eliira smiled and thanked Obsidian, then turned to Rayvyn [@Aes Sedai] "So what do you two want to make first?" She began pulling miscellaneous woodcarving tools from her satchel, placing them on the counter opposite to the one containing the soup. "A chair? A bowl? A new handle for a dagger?" She set down a pot of wood lacquer and uncorked it, then selected a brush and gently took back the small Zirn'rii figurine from Rayvyn. She dipped the brush into the clear liquid and began to paint it onto the wood, bringing out a beautiful chestnut-brown colour to the wood. Zirn'rii zipped about and swirled around the brush before heading over to Galard [@Trutharchivist] and forming into a tiny dragon. Did you see that? Eliira made another one of me! But it doesn't talk! Why is that? He asked, landing on Galard's head. Oooh, is it because it's made of wood? Wood is very rude. It doesn't talk.

I once dressed up as duolingo for Halloween and won the scariest costume at our school.

  17. Telrao hissed and struggled against their tugs against her limbs, her soft fur now in matted clumps. She managed to escape towards the edge of the roof, backing up against the edge. She jumped up onto the edge and smiled as the tigers came closer, acid leaking from their wounded limbs. She waited, just for a moment... then jumped off the side of the clinic. @The Wandering Wizard Vic, Grel and Ryn stood just behind Matra and X, weapons aimed at the massive Kaos dragon. "Fire!" Grel shouted, and the three began blasting the thing with their massive guns. ---- Hav sprinted to Lyna, skidding to a stop mere metres away. So close. He thought to himself. But there was one thing stopping him. The black smoke. The battle seemed to fade, the shouts the screeching of the Kaos tigers, until it was just him, Lyna... and the smoke. Lyna's helmet lay discarded beside her, and she was curled into a tight ball, rocking back and forth, whispering: "I failed, I failed, I failed..." Hav could almost hear voices within the smoke. This is your fault, it whispered, you serve no purpose but to FAIL. Hav grimaced and sealed his aluminium-lined helmet. It dampened the voices, but he still got faint impressions. He stepped up behind Lyna and picked her up, slinging her over his shoulders in a medical carry. He awkwardly picked up her helmet and began to walk away from the smoke, which trailed behind, whispering.
