  3. The Clinic: The Roof Telrao glanced up and smiled at X and Matra. "Well done, humans." She said, her eyes glowing brightly with a white light. She padded towards them, then closed her eyes and touched both of them in turn, infusing them with some of the power thrumming inside of her. The two felt a warm glow flood through their veins, before it settled cosily around their souls. "This power," She said, "will help protect you against corruption. It will not be used to power your abilities," She purred and smiled at Matra. "You already have Light for that." Just then, two humans in combat gear limped over, followed by three more dragging a young man between them. "Telrao!" Hav said, laying Lyna gently on the ground. She groaned and curled up into a ball, whispering. "She breathed in black smoke... and I..." "Ma'am!" Vic said, shoving Edmund [@Shining Silhouette] in front of her. "We found this person hanging around, the battlefield. Who-" "Just a moment. Everyone get close." Telrao said as she began to draw an Aon Edo on the ground. A bubble made of white light sprung up around them, preventing the K-tigers from attacking anyone. She turned to the Second, then gestured to Lyna. "What do you think?" The Second padded to Lyna and lay a paw on her forehead, inhaling sharply as he saw a dark thread connecting Lyna to the partially korrupted pillar. "She's... been infected by Kaos." He said softly. He prodded at the thread and found that it gave a little. "But only weakly. She should be fine if we infuse her now..." Without another word, Telrao placed her paw against Lyna's chest and released a burst of power. "There." She said, backing away a little. Lyna coughed and sputtered, then sat up. "Woah!" She exclaimed. "What the storms was that?" She rubbed her head, then groaned. "Scud, my head hurts." Telrao smiled at Lyna, then drew a small Aon Omi. It released a muted light that, when it touched anyone, released a calm feeling, negating any fear or anger. Lyna sighed and lay her head back onto the ground. Telrao then turned to Edmund. "And who are you?" She asked. @Shadowed @xinoehp512

    (spoilered for length)

    Spoiler

    Rhythm

    I finish the piece again,
But it feels so off, so wrong.
I frown at those little dots
    Those vibrations made visible
Those notes that I have played in concert,
    Over and over again,
That have never quite fit together.

I hold up my flute again
Rest it against my chin, blow,
    My brow furrowed in focus.
My fingers dance along the keys
Matching those little dots, note for note.
As the sound all floods through me,
In that moment, the rhythm clicks.

    The notes meld, somehow combine
    The melody hums within,
And I play those notes, those dots
Swaying in time to the rhythm,
    Blissfully and completely absorbed
In the soft sound of the flute
    And that wonderful, thrumming rhythm.

    The song reaches crescendo,
And my heart lifts and flutters,
    Climbing higher with the notes.
    Accent, staccato, tenuto
Each perfectly played, each one in time,
Each one followed by the next,
‘Til finally, the song ends and fades.

Eyes closed, I stand in that time
    Of pure, divine perfection.
A smile curls across my lips
And I lower my precious flute.
That last note lingers, perfect and whole.
I open my eyes and grin,
Raise my flute once more, and start again.

I think a lot of Sharder musicians will be able to relate to this one!

Also: I got to play with a microscope today! I watched little prokaryotic cells zoom around and nom on yeast cells. It was super cool! BIOLOGY WHOO! :P

    Okay, y'all! Have a wonderful day/afternoon/morning/evening!

  14. Hello there, Human. How are you today? Question time! On a scale of: YES JAZZ! to *EXPLODES IN EXCITEMENT* YES JAZZ!!! would you rate your emotions regarding the musical genre of jazz? Would you ever accept a totally unsuspicious delicious cookie if someone in a dark alley gave it to you? What is your most favourite shade of blue? What is the worst pun you have ever made? Have you ever broken someone's metaphorical or physical funny bone? Would doing so be on your bucket list? And finally... What would you do if someone gave you a box of kittens along with a lifetime's supply of antihistamines?
  15. Maybe Hm. *scribbles in notepad* Interesting.
  16. Cin, this is a very important question. You'd better answer it well, my friend. *rubs hands* What would you do... if someone gave you a box of adorable kittens?

  22. The Clinic: The Roof Telrao and The Second appeared on the roof, thrumming with power, both glowing with Light. Telrao immediately spotted X and Matra's predicament and growled softly. "How do you feel about fighting dragons, Second?" Telrao asked, pointing. She squinted and saw X inside the dragon's mouth, shields around him and preventing its mouth from closing. The Second's lips curled back. "Enthusiastic, with a side of trepidation." He replied, a small shimmering field of energy forming around his lithe feline form. "Shall we?" Telrao nodded and scribbled another Aon Tia on the ground. "Absolutely." She replied as they both placed their paws on the Aon, disappearing and reappearing in a flash of light nearby the dragon-kaos-thing. Telrao began to scribble some Aon Ehes in the air, but the Second quickly stopped her. "You will kill them if you do that." He said. Then, he reached out with his senses and touched their Connection. Telrao's eyes widened. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" He asked, baring his teeth at some nearby Kaos tigers. "Probably." Telrao replied. She drew a large Aon Edo on the ground, adding multiple modifiers as the Second used his Connection to touch the Aon spiritually, bracing it. When Telrao finished, he picked up the Aon with his spirit and shoved it towards X and Matra. The shield of pure white light meshed with X's shields, bracing it and pushing back against the dragon's jaws. @The Wandering Wizard @xinoehp512 @Shadowed
