  1. Rayvyn looked at him. “You can’t stay around me. I don’t know when he’ll be back, and when he comes, because he will come, you’ll be in danger again. You know that. Hi Nath.”
  2. She stared at it for a moment. "I'm so, so sorry," she whispered. Then she shoved it back in his hand, turned, and ran.
  3. He was forced to wear a banana hat, walk in banana shoes, and speak only in rhymes.
  4. Wow you guys are all such amazing writers. Good job humans!! 1/6/23, An Approaching Storm If no one minds me doing the next one...A hungry soul.
  5. "I was a fool to go along. I'm sorry I put you in danger." She nodded and turned to go. "Now that I know you're all right, I'll be going. I'll stay out of your way."
  6. Rayvyn stood there awkwardly. "I'm sorry," she says. She squats to look Tacien in the eye. "You know that I never wanted to hurt you, don't you?"
  7. "It's me, Rayvyn," Rayvyn said, then realized she probably wouldn't be received well, considering she had attacked him last time she saw him.
  8. Rayvyn follows him back through the portal. "Where'd everyone go? I swear, if Tacien got attacked by another creepy man..."
  9. Rayvyn comes back out, now wearing her cloak, her daggers carefully hidden away. "Do you want to carry him or should I?"
  10. Rayvyn nods. "Something like that. It...it was something new, an escape, a chance for what we all truly longed for; oblivion." She shakes her head. "It's...it's hard to explain. The city...it gets in your head. You start to fight not just the outside world but yourself, and every waking second is..." She shakes her head again. "I'm going to grab my cloak and daggers." She steps back into the shed.
  11. Rayvyn frowns. "That...that must have been long ago. I did not know this. I wonder..." She shakes her head, clearing it. "We should probably get him back to the inn."
  12. "Now should we help him?" Rayvyn asks, gesturing at Klave. She shakes her head. "No, our cities have no such names. They are numbered."
  13. Rayvyn shakes her head. "No, I don't doubt you, but you don't know the numbers of our cities. I grew up on the streets of 19. Everyone knows of it, on our world."
  14. She nods. "Close enough. I grew up on the streets of...but you won't understand. I grew up on the streets, and then he found me..." she looks at Klave. "Should we help him?
  15. "No, I can't, and I have no idea," Rayvyn snaps. "He doesn't tell me anything." She sighs, letting her tough facade fade. "I have no where to go. You can lock me in a dungeon, or, kill me, or...or anything! Just don't make me leave."
  16. "No. And he can only control me when he's nearby, though he can speak into my mind from anywhere."
  17. "That wasn't my fault!" Rayvyn says, gritting her teeth. "I...I don't know what I would have done." She looks disturbed. "I need to think."
  18. "Yes." "I know that! I was explaining myself to him. None of you would ever agree with me. I've never brought up anything, but when people ask me, I answer, thank you very much."
  19. Rayvyn looks away. "You already know my thoughts on killing, and he's never done anything to children before."
  20. She glares at him. "I told you I was working for someone. You haven't told us anything about yourself, I notice."
  21. Rayvyn shrugs his hand off, patting out the fire. "It's...he can control me. He hasn't done it in so long...I forgot, and I didn't know he wanted Tacien, I swear."
