A thought strikes Rayvyn. "We could use some mind reading, actually. Would you mind coming up? I can wait for you to eat, if you like." -
Rayvyn blinked at the flood of words. People here talk so much! "I...I was getting food for a friend who is not well. If you would like to join me, you may." She glances at the Starlight (?) "What is that?"

Rayvyn froze when she saw her. No, I am a patron here to. I can be here. She steps into the room. "Hello, I was looking for food."

Uncomfortable with the silence, Rayvyn looks around for something to do. Her eyes land on the snacks. "More..." What's the word...? "Food with more...substance will help you more. I will be back." She turns and heads towards the kitchen.

"I am sure he was," Rayvyn agrees. "And I probably have not helped. Still, he is strong."

Rayvyn shakes her head. "I suppose I have heard weirder things since I came here. I know that there are several deities and powerful people, but no one seems to have had much success yet. I do not have useful powers like that."

Rayvyn shrugs. "I'm not entirely sure, actually. Things got crazy there...and then they got crazy here...I'm sorry we left you."

Rayvyn smiles at him and nods. "Good job sneaking away from that brother of yours." Then she frowns. "Actually, I shouldn't be complimenting that. We're coming in, Marilyn." She opens the door and steps in.

Rayvyn sat up in her own room at the sound of the voice in her head. Nobody went into her head except him...she dispelled the thought. Uh, yeah. What's your room number?

My issue is that changing which gender you identify with doesn't solve what you want it to. I'm an athlete, and I was having a conversation with some teammates about how to be stronger. "Step one: be a guy." Identifying as male won't change that, and will, in fact, bar other opportunities. Scud I sound so petulant, sorry. It's just...ugh.

Turning back, Rayvyn laughs. “A lot of things in a very short time.”

That probably wasn’t the right way to do that. Too late now. She heads to her own room.

“There’s paper in your room if you need to draw something. Otherwise…I’m sorry. I wish I could help you communicate.”

Rayvyn smiles bitterly. “I’ll try. I think we all need some rest now.” She looks at Gone and Tacien.

Rayvyn pats Tacien. “Thank you,” she whispers. Looking at Gone, she says, “I know what it’s like not to have a single person in the world listen to you. But I’m here, and I promise I’ll try really hard not to kill you.”

Rayvyn looks at Gone sadly. I should be able to help him…but I can’t get attached again. It only hurts more people.

“I am willing to learn.”

Rayvyn shakes her head. “We could try, but…I don’t know that it would work. And I did very little. It is only because of the others that he survived.”
