  1. For there were more foes than he thought. Many more. And different kinds too.
  2. Jokes on all those people that have only been to one, I've been to NONE!!! *Goes over and cries in corner* (don't worry, my ward finally gets to go this year )
  3. The realm of the Tiger "Why is time running out? Actually, don't answer that, I'd rather learn the other stances then have that knowledge. I'm sure I'll realize it eventually anyway." @The Wandering Wizard
  4. sssssshhhhhhhhhh. no one needs to know (For context, I haven't been on in a long time and I'm responding to a pretty old post)
  5. The realm of the Tiger "The quarterstaff is my weapon of choice for this form, though any weapon that helps you keep on flowing through the movements is good." Wizard appraises Platypus as he moves through the movements. "Good, you did very good for your first time doing it!" @Being of Cacophony The realm of the Tiger "Thank you, I feel like that one will be the easiest for me, I'm semi-aquatic so I'm kind of used to this. The others I won't perform as well, I feel." Platypus allows his Blade to change into a shortsword instead of his usual lengthy sword and begins the routine again. This time, however, he is fighting the air. He moves as though he is surrounded by enemies devoted to killing him, swiping, lunging, and rolling away. His sword morphs into a short dagger as water vapor collects around him into humanoid shapes that he fights all while dancing around them. He speeds up as he moves around the warriors. His dagger changes into his typical Blade as he deals death blows to the water figures. The blade dissolves and collects back into a staff as he dodges a fist, then he blocks two swords on his staff and moves on, hitting the figures as he moves. His staff reconfigures into a crushing mace as he charges into the midst of them, smashing and defeating. He slows down slightly at the heavier weapon, but as the vapor figures lessen, his mace returns to it's normal Blade form and he speeds up to a blur to almost anyone's eyes (maybe Wizard can see him, I don't know how good his eyesight is and I don't want to God mod), then he parries a thrust, swipes his sword in a circle, then disarms the last of the shapes and it dissolves into a puddle. Platypus' eyes refocus and he realizes that he accidentally covered both him and Wizard in water. "Oops. I guess that's what happens when you fight a bunch of water warriors. That felt... invigorating. Like there was nothing that could stop me. Like I was coming awake for the first time in my entire life. I still feel awake, but I'm slipping back to what I've been for the rest of my life. I guess drowsy is the best word. Slow, unthinking. It almost felt like I was moving fast enough that I could've hit you. I probably couldn't have, but it felt like I could." Platypus says. @The Wandering Wizard
  6. Platypus looked at that and gasped. Then he took a mental note to remember that new people could be Subversion's avatar and to be wary of them. (He had used spatial rending to listen to the conversation. Who wouldn't?)
  7. The realm of the Tiger "Do I need to use a staff for this or is it just what you chose to do?" He lets his Blade disappear and begins moving without the weapon to focus on. Instead of fighting the air like Wizard, he seems to flow with it. The air seems to move out of his way as he dances through the space, summoning his Blade in the process. He begins to slip through the realm, an air of peace in his eyes as he moves through everything in his way. No aura of vapor forms, but the air starts flowing alongside him, propelling him and pushing him beyond what he can normally do. He ends with a spin and slashes through an imaginary foe before looking up. "How did I do? Was that it?" Platypus asks Wizard, breathing hard. @The Wandering Wizard
  8. yes, it is useful. Sorry, that wasn't the best way for me to put it. It is easier (i would guess because of how the books are written) to practice with those metals than it is to practice soulcasting.
  9. I'm so sorry that's happening to you. I hope you get better and will be able to do something to celebrate it with her and make up your finals. *hugs*
  10. I don't know about that, I would train with them if I was a mistborn because they're freakin useful.
  11. no. go back to non-existence Haly. 1426
  12. i know, that's my point. They aren't naturally skilled and most Lightweavers don't try to train with it while they're 3rd Ideal, they'd rather focus on Lightweaving.
  13. I see what you're saying, but think of Shallan vs Jasnah. Shallan is utterly horrible at soulcasting while Jasnah is good at it. From what we've seen so far, 3rd Ideal Lightweavers tend to use their Lightweavings more than soulcasting. If you can show me an example or two proving me wrong, I'll happily concede this point. But my examples are Shallan and Vathah (he might be a squire/lower Ideal, but still) and they both use Lightweaving far more than soulcasting. On the other hand, almost all mistborn are good fighters (I can't think of a bad fighter, you'll need to provide an example if you want more of a debate).
  14. The realm of the Tiger Platypus looks slightly embarrassed. "Sorry. I get excited easily. Still really cool. How do we start?"
  15. i wouldn't care to try to spend that amount of effort and I'm not going to. you're welcome. 1422
  16. i can't make you do that even if I wanted to. You could just avoid posting on those numbers. 1420
  17. I was there for that. I know the context Also: "NO MORE GHOUGHPHTHEIGHTTEAEAUS!" - @Sequence
  18. I would say that Mistborn wins for sure if the Lightweaver is bad at soulcasting, the illusions don't matter a whole lot because of bronze and copper might (maybe) neutralize soulcasting (especially if it's weak soulcasting).
  19. gets shardfork inserts a used double bass
  20. "why do goats exist?" "Goats are an essential part of the goat cycle"
  21. I fly by in a helicopter and it utterly destroys your entire being. I jump out and take the sandwich as it falls.
  22. granted. as you progress you commit suicide and die right before your 5th ideal because your spren wasn't helpful to you I wish for my insides to be invulnerable.
