  1. Allowing the priest to walk away (with a coupon snuck into his robes), Gerald continued his marketing scheme. "Again, the best coffee shop there is. 15 different flavors, with an additional rotating menu of 5 that changes every week. Our house special, The Flame, is my personal favorite, and is just the thing that wakes me up in the morning. You look like you could use one yourself, my friend. Haha. Here, take this coupon and get 15 percent off your next cup. One sip and we can turn that frown, into a not-frown."
  2. Granted, but no one accepts you for college I wish for a really comfy chair
  3. "Glad you asked! It's a little shop I run, where I serve you the best coffee on this side of town, if I do say so myself, haha. (And I do.) It's a nice spot to rest, relax, and really 'chill' out, despite the name. We've garnered quite a following, and have become a classic to many. If our special coffee blends aren't quite your style, well we have..." Gerald continues rambling on and on about his shop, going into more detail than someone would want to type out. There simply was so much to say about The Flame, after all.
  4. Granted. Bane is that it runs bad. I'm talking like BAD bad. Every other part is missing. The engine is held together by tape and gum. But hey at least it's clean I wish to ba able to instantly project my thoughts onto a page/screen without having to write/type it out
  5. Gerald's pride only a little bit hurt, he wandered the crowd looking for anyone who might be interested in his shop. He spots a rather gloomy person, and shuffled next to him. "Hey there stranger, you seem rather tired. Gee, if only there was something that could pep you up!" He noticed the priest next to him and decided to rope him in as well. "Why, have you two heard of The Flame?"
  6. "Hey now, don't be like that. What other Flame is there but mine?" Gerald slung his arm around the cop's shoulder and inched the cup towards his face. "Come on, just a sip and I'm sure you'll love it..." He trailed off as he spotted Herald's glowing. " Woah, hey pal, you don't look too hot. Well, I suppose you do in a different sense, haha. But seriously are you okay there pally?"
  7. Gerald, thinking the cop was addressing him, stepped closer. Not hearing the Herald, he held up his cup of coffee. "Why, I don't see how my brew could pose any danger to anyone. Well, except for how it's dangerously good! Oh, but I jest. I'll finish it quickly. Unless you would like some?" Gerald grinned at the prospect of a new customer.
  8. That time you covered me in garlic and chased me around was really not cool, man. Kablooey. Here, let me do it again. Kablooey.
  9. AH THESE ARE SO BEAUTIFUL AHHHH THEY ALL LOOK SO LOVELY
  10. You could put it in Sanderson Fan Works, or Creators Corner, either one works.
  11. On top of the Terris Alphabet, another Terris-related thing is their clothes, with the colorful V patterns. From Coppermind: Since the Terris alphabet naturally has a lot of V-like patterns, you could probably combine these somehow? Simple mockup designs I made because I was bored: You could even try stacking and combining different letters to spell something. For example, bronze-tin-brass-tin-duralumin for "TERIS". Not sure on how the vowel distinction works for the Terris alphabet though.
  12. I like this theory a lot, but I'm not too sure on Bear and Return. Bear doesn't seem quite right in contrast to Exist and Change, it almost feels like a subset of Exist? But the grouping of emotion Shards does seem right. Return's grouping seems kinda weak, but it could work. I can see why they could be "uniting" concepts, but I don't think that's their associated command? Promises, morals, to rule, and to follow, I don't really see them being the "end goal" of this progression. I guess they could be related to "Purpose" or something like that. In that vein, if "Purpose" is one, maybe Bear could be the end? Exist, Change, "Purpose" and Bear. To be, to evolve, to have a reason to be, and to carry that existence? idk just throwing it out there I'm also not solid on Adonalsium creating or designing the Dawnshards. I feel like they're a more primordial force, related to but separate from Adonalsium's power. Not sure how to explain that
  13. Hey I really need help finding the ancient gods of cheese, chairs and chamomile. You know where their divine palace is? eeeouch. I would rather be screaming but the circumstances you've lead us to has made that less than favorable.
  14. Granted. Nice job, man. You just brought about the Heat Death of the Universe eleven years early. clap. clap. clap. I wish for the sun to come back, but a solar umbrella covers the entirety of the Sahara, which reroutes the heat radiation into the polar ice caps.
  15. Hey hey, check this out, a wizard gave me the ability to control your eyebrows and mouth, watch this. Oooooooo Oh, that was really cool, but I accidentally left half the lens cap on. Could you do it again, but only on the left side?
  16. Um... Yeah, we're watching a movie about a divorce and it's kinda uncomfortable TPBM enjoys strong cheeses
  17. The Flame... It's all coming together...... Surprisingly that works really well for cult settings LOL
  18. Here's my amazing character cough cough boy its kinda warm in here huh
  19. Is this medieval, modern? Could you share a bit more plot or setting? idk how to start a character yet
  20. Na, I am ye bi. TPBM is sore, or is aching somewhere right now
  21. A. Me and a friend were talking, and they heavily recommended Stormlight. I got hooked and read the first four. Decided if Sanderson wrote Stormlight, maybe that other, unrelated series "Mistborn" is just as good. Third book, epigraphs mentioned "Adonalsium." I looked it up on the Coppermind, and then realized the Cosmere was a thing. It was wild. B. Was looking into Roshar glyphs and languages on Coppermind, and it referenced someone's translation on the Shard. Then I started reading theories, and decided to make an account in case I was smart enough to come up with my own C. I kinda forgot?? I know I came up with it on kind of a whim. I think it involved a joke about someone named Alton (Probably the chef Alton Brown) and keyboards. Younger me wasn't very humorous, by the way.
  22. We haven't really seen much of their performing arts, kinda unsure. But since rhyming isn't really a big thing, they'd probably just see it as oddly paced talking. Singers/listeners would probably enjoy the meter though? ...Hamilton performed to the rhythms of Honor, each song attuned differently based on the scene, would go crazy WWRTO paper money
  23. I FORGOT ABOUT I stupid imaginary numbers made by stupid mathematicians. they just reeeeaaally wanted more numbers : (
  24. What I got, using quadratic formula: No I did not! I had a healthy meal of 2 pepperoni pizza slices, 2 mozzarella bread sticks, and chocolate milk. Which is probably better than a soda lunch, now that I think about it. Eat proper meals, guys TPBM is nice and comfy and warm
  25. Title! Humans didn't always have beads. When they first arrived, they probably used something else. So did Shadesmar shift into beads when people started using them widespread? And what was it before? If the inanimate souls are represented in a thing that people think about a lot, like the mists on Scadrial, what did the humans think about before? Mud? Also also, Singers are sentient, so they should have had a hand in forming Shadesmar. What did they think about? Rocks and pebbles? All I can think about is water, but that doesn't sound right. Too normal. Maybe it's tied to the spiritual aspect of Roshar and always was, and always will be beads? Idk, something about how there's no real concept of time in the SR? What about Ashyn? Was their cognitive realm made of fire? Smoke? Modern stuff. That one Azish city, Tashikk, they drilled holes in their spheres to put on cords. Is the corresponding Shadesmar location full of holey beads? Further western Roshar doesn't really use spheres all that much, and supposedly they just use pieces of the gems themselves. Is their Shadesmar area a bunch of tiny gems? Would their "bead sea" be more dense, and the sea level lower? If you took a bead of a chair's soul, and you traveled to the Scadrian substratal, would the bead turn into a mist version of the chair? Probably not, but if you brought the physical chair from Roshar to Scadrial through space, would that cognitive bead roll through the expanse between worlds? And once the chair touches down on Scadrial, and the locals start thinking about that chair, would it turn into mist then? Or if they knew it was Rosharan, could it stay a bead? A more simple question, what happens when you try to take a bead out of the cognitive realm and into the physical realm? Would it stay a bead, turn into its physical counterpart, or just not be able to leave? Also, Shadesmar beads can use stormlight to form their represented objects. How would this work in Scadrial? Could you just burn a metal nearby it? Ingest it and burn that?? I know most of these probably don't have answers yet, so don't feel pressured to answer any of them : /
