Wow, thank you all so much! Finished chasm trip art. I'm extremely happy with how this turned out. I spent an hour nicely mucking up Shallan's dress… until I realized that the mucked-up lower part is what she'll use to bind Kaladin's leg later. Maybe it wasn't just all the walking he did that caused the leg to heal so badly.

Thanks so much! Magi, yes - I love the way the series portrays mental illness, especially depression. I never thought I'd find such accurate depictions of it in a Fantasy novel - or so many moments of inspiration that are actually helpful. Spent last night sketching Kaladin and Shallan's Chasm Trip (TM), one of my favourite bits in the whole series.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! = Ooooh, I know. It's why my daughter knows the entire Silmarillion - she kept walking in while I drew and asked what I was drawing, and I'd tell her. Funnily, that diesn't work with most Stormlight Archive Art. When I draw in the staffroom and a colleague looks over my shoulder to ask what I'm drawing, I'd usually have to spend twenty minutes talking before anything would make any sense!

The cereal version of Horneater stew. Take everything you have and put him in milk.

Thank you so much! I’ll once again be obvious and say I love the honourspren. The less obvious answers are that I love the creationspren that make up Shallan's armour (they remind me of a 1990s Coca Cola ad where a bunch of ice cubes topple over one another in excitement when someone opens the fridge). Artistically, I want to draw agonyspren and luckspren at one point. Can I cheat and say muesli?

I have now! Funnily, I was spot-on. I'm 61% Windrunner, 61% Edgedancer, and 60% Lightweaver.

I'd say the two obvious answers are Lightweaver or Windrunner, but I'm confident to say Windrunner. Hey, I run back to the baker's if I find they gave me 10€ too much as change. I'm sure I'd attract a stuffy old honourspren.

Hey all, here's the output of the last two months! Whenever I dive into a new fandom, I do it head-first, and the amount of art I make is the clearest indicator of how deep I'm in. I'd say I'm in very deep. And there's still so much on my list that wants to be drawn! All these were done in Procreate, using my own watercolour brushes.

Thanks for the welcome! Ooooh, a Discord server sounds great. Particularly since I recently understood how it works. Thanks Magi! That helps a lot. My favourite character is Kaladin, as can easily be deduced from how often he features in my drawings. I remember "meeting" him for the first time in WoK, and my train of thought went, Man, this guy is really too perfect, the author's trying way to hard to make me like hhhh.... oh hell, he spends his earnings to bribe the runners to get his men off the field first. I'm yours, Kaladin Stormblessed. Adolin is another favourite, also on second glance, but then unconditionally. I disliked him for a womaniser first, and then we get his groping for "perambulating" and I was sold. I'm a simple woman.

Good morning! I joined this forum a while ago, but didn't dare to browse too much as I was still reading through Stormlight Archive, but now I've finished Wind and Truth and am ready to say hi. What's the best place for art? I'm not quite sure. Fan Works, Creators Corner, or the Gallery? A bit about me: I'm a German illustrator and teacher, and was brought into the series by my daughter, who read the books last summer and wouldn't shut up about them, so I gave them a go. First on Audible (I'm visually disabled), then on Kindle (with a ridiculous font size, but that turned out to be the better option). I may be familiar to some for my Tolkien work. These days, I create art on the iPad, because my eyes won't let me work on paper anymore - not in the detail I still like to work in. I've made my own watercolour brushes to be able to emulate the watercolour style I used to have. Looking forward to connecting to other Cosmere fans! I'll definitely pick up Mistborn too, but right now, I'm rereading/relistening to SLA while I draw, and there's so much more I want to depict - I'm definitely not done with Stormlight yet.
