I just gotta say that at this point, the actual problems with the online book community aren't nearly as annoying as the people constantly yelling about said problems and blowing silly things out of proportion . . .
SpoilerThere are issues but some of the criticism people give is very online to me (as a chronically online person).Β
You can't critique a community of people for not having critical thinking skills if you don't have the critical thinking skills and media literacy to understand what you're critiquing and how it matters in a wider context in the first place.
Spoiler(I will never forget that poor, twenty something young women who posted a video about how she disliked the specific font sizing of a copy of a book, and everyone under the sun took her words out of context and made fun of of her for 'complaining there were too many words in books,' I'll never forget).
SpoilerOr maybe I'm just really, really tired of clickbait stuff with super emotionally charged titles and stupid thumbnails.
SpoilerTrust me friends, the world is a brighter place when you don't use tiktok
