  1. I'm pretty sure this has already been brought up, but YKYAASFW when you spot Hoid in non-Brandon books. (It was actually an iconic character from the series I was reading and that I was supposed to recognize, but I missed all the blatant giveaways because my brain had decided it was Hoid)
  2. Welcome!
  3. I think Dalinar is going to become a Fused after losing the contest, and return in the back half as an antagonist. He might very well be killed only then, possibly by someone close to him (Adolin? Renarin? Jasnah? Navani?) Also, the Stormfather would probably die or at least be severely crippled if Dalinar loses. I think at least one other important character will die, but I don't know who. Szeth, Moash, Ishar mainly come to my mind. I really hope Kaladin doesn't die, because it would undermine his entire arc which was about accepting that life is worth living even though he lost several of his loved ones. Brandon just can't give him an ending like " Now that I have accepted life is worth living I can die" And lastly,
  4. I know you were supposed to perform a fire breathing show, but you could have done it without setting yourself on fire! That's not how real life works, sadly.
  5. Granted. When you type A, it types E. When you type E, it types O. When you type O, it types D, and so on. And you can't write the new letters on your keyboard, or anything like that. I wish for this schoolyear to be nice and calm, with nothing special happening.
  6. Welcome!
  7. Nale did not think what he was doing was wrong. He was persuaded that killing all Radiants was the only way to prevent Desolations to return, and therefore, that what he was doing was right. It's completely different from Kal who, even though he participated in the plot to kill Elhokar, knew on some level it was wrong. Of course, he later learned that he was wrong about Radiants bringing back Desolations, and that is what his "I was wrong" confession means. Not that he was morally wrong, because with the information he had at that time, he did what he thought was right. And Nale being most likely a 5th Ideal SB means that he could more or less do whatever he thinks is right, since he sets his own law, his own moral code.
  8. It is New Seran! Good job Wandering Wizard!
  9. Aaagh this is so hard. In the end I voted RoW, mainly for Kal's plotline, but all of them are great.
  10. No Not Elantris, not Luthadel, not the Homeland This place tends to impress newcomers when they arrive This place is on Scadrial This place is loudy
  11. Kelsier and Dalinar could be interesting. They are both leaders in really different ways, they have very different ethics... a meeting between them would be tense but interesting. That is, if Kelsier doesn't outright kill Dalinar because he's a storming noble.
  12. SPs spoilers By the way, @realSEyOda you might want to edit the title of the topic to add SPs spoilers (spoiler tags work better when you know what it is a spoiler for). I am a bit unsure about the "imprudence of the Shattering" thing. Khriss in SH (I think) says that some of the Vessels killed Ado because they saw it as the least bad option, which would make it a somewhat prudent act. Also, I would be surprised to see a Shard degrading into its opposite. So far we've rather seen Shards that grew completely obsessed by their intent and became some perverted version of it. Like Preservation wanting to preserve the current status quo, even one as horrible as the Final Empire. Or Honor becoming more concerned about binding yourselves with oaths than about what the oaths were. By this logic, a Prudence Shard should grow so prudent it ends up never doing anything, just surviving day after day by not taking any risk. Which would explain its discretion/inaction. I like the idea of a Shard being involved with the Silverlight scholars! I don't see any evidence neither for nor against that theory, but it's cool. (Brandon has RAFOed several times whether there was a Shard in Silverlight)
  13. YKYAASF when you update your notification settings, and you read that little "Saved" pop-up that appears at the top of the screen as "Sazed"
  14. Silvereye came later that night. "I'm in", he said when he entered the old basement where the conspirators had gathered.
  15. And so, feelings slowly deserted the people of TLT. Unlike ninjas.
  16. One day, Aspin moved all the dwarf elephants to a very large field and let them be. The field was right next to the largest plantation of spicy peppers in TLT.
  17. So she decided to bring it back. Her plan started by breeding dwarf elephants.
  18. So I hadn't told you but we now have a pet T-Rex at home! Listen, it wasn't supposed to do that. I think.
  19. Hello fellow clarinettist! Silvereye also summoned his Narration Clarinet. Much to his regret, he did not know to play the Dune soundtrack, so after trying unsuccessfully to find the right notes, he gave up and began playing some obscure Irish drinking song.
  20. Do you mean summer as the season, or the holidays? Anyway, I am still in summer. TBPM likes history, but not history classes.
  21. Proof: He is a cosmere character that is presumed dead, therefore he survived somehow. Also, he has been seen alive in every book. Theory: Shai from Emperor's Soul and Navani are the same person.
