  1. Miyako sighed, she should probably help her new "friend" before he butchered this chance. "What's the big problem with letting people hear about his cult?" Miyako said, "If it is as blasphemous as you say, no one will join, but best case scenario you get floaty Hwindi in a few years. Just because you are so stubbornly ignoring the world, that doesn't mean it isn't progressing without you. Move with the river or drown in it. Change will happen either way, as much as you want to just hide in your forest, pretending you are strong." Miyako said, staring at the Hwindi with an eyebrow raised, daring him.
  2. Hyron glowered at both of them. "I'm afraid you're both mistaken," Hyron said, "We are not trying to prevent you leaving. We are trying to make you leave. The net," They said, gesturing, "Protects one of our sacred domains. We do not wish to join your organization," Hyron said to the stranger, "And we do not wish to assist you in your hunt," Hyron said to the human they'd been fighting. “Ok, let’s go then.” Miyako sheathed her sword and called her stream of water back into the water skin at her side. “Sorry for attacking you, I guess.”
  3. "Well, these Hwindi seem opposed to us leaving," Miyako said gesturing at the net.
  4. Miayko considered this new information; this could be a big opportunity. It would be nice to have the power of an organization behind her and doing jobs for a group where you could move up the ranks is much better than random bounties. Either way this seemed much more intriguing than her current bounty, since the current chance of finding the target seemed next to none. "I'm not joining your cult or anything, but I like what your saying. The question is, what are we going to do about them and how are we getting off this island?" Miyako said, pointing at the Hwindi.
  5. "Ok. That means nothing to me." Miyako said, twirling her sword.
  6. Hyron faltered, turning around, holding a hand out for a ceasefire to the other human. No way were they going to fight two humans at once. Besides, it was the blasphemous human who was floating down. Dammit. Miyako paused, lowering her sword, though she still kept her stream of water trained on the Hwindi. Better safe than sorry. "Why are you chasing him? How are floating? What the tides is going on?" Miyako demanded. She figured she should probably know what was going on before she started stabbing people again.
  7. Welcome to the shard! We have all manner of cool nerd stuff here, I hope you enjoy it.
  8. Quest happily walked back to his satchel and staff, lying down to fall asleep. He laid back, satisfied. Quest had made some friends and wouldn't have to be alone for a while. Even though he wouldn't say it, these years of solitude had been hard on him. Maybe he could finally have someone to rely on. With hopeful thoughts for the future and memories of the past drifting in his head, Quest succumbed to sleep underneath a sea of stars.
  9. In Quest's mind nothing was more dangerous than a fire-breathing death bunny. He had faced the worst life had to offer, and lived! So even though he was tired and it was out of character, Quest was kept the party together. "I have enough magic for a fireball or too, I see no scenario where I would ever need more than that. This sounds like a great plan!"
  10. Miayko caught the vines on her blade and sidestepped it, pushing it out of her way. In the same breath her stream of water leaked through the wall and reformed, slashing at the Hwindi.
  11. Miakyo paused, considering her options. Leaving now would guarantee safety but she would lose the target. The floating man seemed at odds also with the Hwindi and could be on her side. He seemed trapped here and looked wealthy, could he be a potential patron? In the end though Miakyo made her decision for one simple reason: no one would tell her what to do, she wanted to fight. She dashed forward slashing with her sword. Her stream of water streaking towards the Hwindi's chest, ready to kill.
  12. Miayko glanced up at the floating man before turning back to the Hwindi. "I am in your lands searching for a wanted criminal, allow me to hunt him down or hand him over. I will leave then and only then."
  13. Miyako turned at a small sound in the canopy, and saw a Hwindi leaping towards her. She opened a waterskin at her side and a stream of water pooled out, hovered in an blob by her sword. She readied herself and got into a offensive stance, katana held high towards the Hwindi. If they wanted a fight, they would get one.
  14. Antin's gaze was mildy terrifying, those pits of endless shadows driving dread into Quest. That wasn't something he saw everyday. He decided to sit by Vance, away from the newcomer.
  15. Quest was interrupted from his power nap by a loud conversation by the fire. A new man was by the fire, looking ominous shrouded in his gray cloak. At least he had good fashion sense. Quest yawned, walking over to the others. "Who are you? Also hello, I'm Quest. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
  16. Miyako paused, the floating man seemed to be talking to her. "Who the tides are you?"
  17. Yerik prodded the net curiously. Miyako was walking through the woods, glancing at every shadow to make sure it wasn't the Hwindi waiting to attack. She had come to these forests as only a last resort, but if her bounty could hide in these woods from those haughty tree huggers she could too. If he was already captured by the Hwindi then she would cross that bridge when she came to it. She was on the trail of someone who had been through these woods recently. He had seemed to walk through without a care in the world, trampling through the underbrush and making it painfully obvious to follow. It was unlikely that this was her target, but a lead was a lead. She brushed past leaves, darting from shadow to shadow, advancing with her sword by her side. She was inspecting a set of footprints when she heard rustling in the leaves above. Miyako turned and saw a man sailing through the air, bounding through the trees as if untethered to this world. She spared one more glance at the trail before rushing after the man. Something big was happening and she wasn't going to miss it. Miyako had to abandon all subtlety as she sprinted through the forest after the floating man. Another man, a Hwindi by the looks of it, leaped through the forest in the direction of the man moments later. He swung through the trees in pursuit. Luckily though, he seemed much too preoccupied to notice her running on the ground. Her breath was drawing ragged when she halted suddenly, seeing the man hanging in midair. She pulled herself together and creeped forward. She surveyed her surroundings, the Hwindi seemed to be in the trees and a large net was hanging over the canopy. She drew her sword while moving forward, preparing for a fight; there seemed to a confrontation brewing and Miyako seemed to be in the middle of it.
