  1. When you find this app name hilarious: https://nfnlabs.in/storm-it
  2. Well, in that case*, one could, maybe say that Kaladin acts as a warrior in Rhythm of War. *For some reason, using this phrase might make this feel sarcastic or taunting. It's not supposed to be.
  3. Dalinar says it multiple times: Kaladin's not a warrior, he's a soldier. What exactly does he mean by this? Kaladin is definitely a good fighter. So what does Dalinar mean by this? Also, the most recent repeat of this idea is after Navani says "And I doubt anyone the enemy presents can best Stormblessed." To which Dalinar says he's not picking Kaladin. Navani says, "Why not? He's our best warrior." Navani has joined the Kaladin Is Unbeatable Club, accompanied by all of Bridge Four, Dalinar, Vyre, Venli, Leshwi, and all of the citizens of Urithiru. Dalinar says "no he's our best soldier." What is the difference? I don't understand...?
  4. It might not change his story... but it would be fun. (like how stereotypically, grandmas always give candy and say "you've grown a foot!" and it would be fun if Kaladin had stereotypical grandparents. I sort of... kind of... wrote a fan fiction about it?) [insert quote about Kaladin becoming Odium's Champion here, it didn't work for some reason] I don't know if he would have been. I mean, was he ever on that path? It seems like all that Wit saved him from by talking to him in that nightmare was just giving up and "lying down and dying", not necessarily becoming Odium's Champion. I'm not sure though.
  5. I wrote this a while ago, it's the homecoming from Lirin's perspective. It's not really any changes to the scene at all, just different thoughts.
  6. This would be fun. Topics such as What If... Adolin Stayed Behind? or What If... Kaladin Had Grandparents?* or What If... Kaladin's Homecoming Was From Lirin's PoV? *meaning people who acted as his grandparents.
  7. Writing this broke me... I present, with tears on my cheeks, You Were My Sunshine. Good luck. Also it's in a minor key. (Although the "dear" doesn't fit as well as I'd like it to, for Tien.) I'm so sorry...
  8. Oh wow this is beautiful!
  9. But according to his AMA he will have enough power to determine a lot of stuff, and he hopes to be/will be a co-producer. So... I'm cautiously optimistic and pleasantly confused.
  10. I'm not sure I agree with this? I mean, I feel like Kaladin needs the same amount of support Shallan does, but he doesn't want to admit that to himself. Oh yeah, definitely. Kaladin's my favorite, but I ain't denying what you say. That's a good point. I also wondered if Wit liked Kaladin more at first so gave him the flute, then Kaladin lost it/didn't try to learn how to play it, then lost favor in Wit's eyes. I think he felt an emotional attachment to that flute... Who knows. Yeah, he knows Kaladin can take it. Also Kaladin is a little more prone to being unfair and less likeable than Shallan(yes I know that in the fandom, they get the same amount of hate[maybe Shallan gets more? I don't know] but I mean as people, Adolin in WoR thinks of Kaladin as unlikeable, but falls in love with Shallan immediately). So Wit finds more there to tease.
  11. When you lie awake at night trying to remember all ten Heralds(I forgot Vedel for a while) and all ten orders of Knights Radiant. and all nine Friends of the ABC and all thirteen dwarves. No, it wasn't keeping me up, I just tried to remember them to stave off boredom. Also when you see a guy wearing a Life before Death shirt at an amusement park and spend the rest of the day hoping you see him so you can say I like your shirt and he'll notice your Sylshirt.
  12. This is something that puzzled me in reading Wit's stories/interactions. If y'all could offer input, that'd be cool. I noticed that it seems like Wit is a lot gentler when he tells Shallan a story/talks to her than when he tells Kaladin stories/talks to him. For example, in Rhythm of War, in the Dog and the Dragon, Kaladin says, This seems a bit harsh, considering all Kaladin's been through in the past ?week?month?(technically we don't know that Wit knows that, but I've just gotten used to assuming Wit knows everything. And he could probably figure out something's going on, judging by Kaladin's exhaustion/"close to giving up") We also have the story of Fleet(or at least that scene): This seems... unnecessary. It is really funny, but it's a seemingly random jab at Kaladin, who I'm not sure needs it or could benefit from it. In Wandersail, Wit doesn't exactly insult Kaladin, but he does intentionally misinterpret what Kaladin says to annoy him, kind of a lot. And while Wit still is very gentle and sweet to Kaladin at times, he is also quite salty sometimes. Whereas with Wit, at least in the chapter The Girl Who Stood Up, pretty much the meanest things he say to her are "I thought you knew this story", "Skip? Skip part of a story?", "Wrong answer. She was both", along with some interesting debates. But other than that, he's loving and kind and comforting to her, a sharp contrast to how he treats Kaladin a good chunk of the time. Does anyone care to offer their ideas for why this is the case? P.S. I am aware that Wit is a worldhopper and is more commonly referred to as Hoid. But I prefer calling him Wit.
  13. I noticed that too! Yeah, they must talk fast. Although I feel like I've heard that Roshar has lower gravity than Earth, so that might make heartbeats sllooweerrr...? Maybe? I don't know science well enough to say...

    I like the font!

    Kaladin

I like how you made his brands actually look more like scars than a tattoo. Not many people do that(including me... when I try to draw him. It never turns out well.). Good job!
  16. I don't know, maybe it is. But yeah, dat's what I do.
  17. And potentially (Elantris) And Shallan? That ones kind of guesswork. but it says something like, "Shallan had kept her head down long enough. Now it was time to soar." And that's after she finds a map with the labeled planets on it... so...?
  18. So this part intrigues me: Not You will be the one who does what I want and makes me smoothies and spanks the people I don't like. "Send to the stars and serve my interests in the cosmere." Does he mean trying to kill other Shards? Trying to gather all of Adonalsium? Something else? What does he want? And it's no longer Rayse. So what does Taravangian want of the Cosmere? Will he still want Dalinar's soul? Because if he wants to retain any semblance of "I'm a good guy!", he might let Dalinar free. I also wonder... to what extent does Dalinar have to obey the commands? Because he could do the commands, but only to the minimum usefulness, or rebel in some other way. There's my thoughts! Theorize, agree, disagree, whatever!
  19. Well, they're doing Stormlight Miniatures.
  20. Your hair and the magical qualities it possesses, how long has it been doing that exactly The "movies and tv shows" mentioned in this week's update! OK. So. TV shows. Plural... He has talked about a Stormlight TV show... But I won't get my hopes up. Not even close. Who am I kidding? AAAHHHHHH WHAT IF... I'm not freaking out
  21. Based on that one poem with "I'm Nobody! Who are you?" is a ketek I wrote.

I love it! Very clever! :D

  22. I'm really good at RipStik-ing. Well, I can't do tricks, but I can bend down and pick up a stone while riding. Also my brother @Spencer Nightshade and I can light-lance(grab hands) and pivot around each other.
  23. Both. Well, I wet the toothbrush, put on toothpaste, then wet it again. I'm weird like that.
  24. Weeell... Yes. And I'm not ashamed. At all.
  25. I am indeed! Although I can't say what my score was, for I do not have an account. Alas!
