  2. Well, I'm slowly taking up the role of "ancient sharder who's mostly inactive but pops on random forums sometimes and also posts strange SUs late at night," I figured that I should find a way to, you know, actually engage with the online community that remains the best I've been a part of. So. This. Rules are the same as asking a sphinx (I will neither confirm nor deny that I am one): I cannot lie, but I may refuse to answer or say something technically true, but misleading. No personal questions, obviously - other than that, ask things.
  3. MB era one - spoiler box is just to be safe.
  4. Because you pulled a Vin, you are no longer in the Physical Realm. I grab the sandwich from the ruins of Kredik Shaw.
  5. As a restaurant was mentioned, it's lunchtime now. I put the Sandwich in the Sandwich Safe® and invite @Immortal Platypus to join, as he's one of the few people who consistently uses the lunch bit. I order the spinach and mushroom quiche. It's taking a while to arrive.
  6. Okay, who just upvoted a post I made in 2023?

This is not an invitation to mysteriously upvote this SU in 2027.

      Just putting that out there.

  7. As of TLM, neither does Hemalurgy...
  8. Probably not. Sizgil's experiencing the effects of his broken Nahel bond with his original spren in TSM. Radiant order is a characteristic of the spren.
  9. The sequels to Dragonsteel happen post-shattering, although I don't know when. Critically, Honor wasn't shattered. Honor was a whole Shard without a Vessel for a long time, which allowed it to grow a consciousness.
  10. I may or may not have spent the better part of the past three hours looking at the website of Proslide Technologies, a Canadian waterslide manufacturer that designed many of the attractions at my local water park.
  11. Also, it's my understanding that people are putting this info on Coppermind. Edit: this page may be what you're looking for.
  12. This is your scheduled reminder that multiple giant companies exist with the sole purpose of making waterslides. My brain is kind of a weird place sometimes.
  13. Quick note: Dragonsteel is a (planned) prequel that covers the Shattering of Adonalsium. My understanding is it takes more work to put things back together than it does to take them apart: this is why nobody has Ascended to Devotion or Dominion. As such, I doubt that Adonalsium being reformed would happen without a character's help.
  14. We interrupt your insanity to request your attention to this important matter: Thank you for your attention to this matter.
  15. Update: I am blind. The current Shard locations are consistent for post - RoW, however, with everyone having left Ashyn, Autonomy not yet having Invested Scadrial, and Cultivation not having left yet. The inclusion of Retribution would imply post TLM, which would mean no Cultivation but everything else is fine.
  16. I trip you and slap you with a stick. With peak physical comedy achieved, I steal the sandwich just for funsies.
  17. Taking the sandwich disrupts the death trail, trapping us both in a bubble of reduced lightspeed. I say "screw this" and call Wayne to counteract the effects of the slow time, then take the sandwich and teleport out.
  18. https://xkcd.com/2028/ I take the Sandwich with the power of Randall Munroe.

  21. Whelp time to recommend a fantasy series I suppose. Founders Cycle Foundryside Trilogy, complete (Foundryside, Shorefall, Locklands) Robert Jackson Bennett Urban Fantasy Blurb on the back of Foundryside: Some additional info, as well as my personal thoughts: Given the audience of this recommendation, it seems worth noting that Brandon Sanderson was blurbed for Foundryside: As much as my opinion counts for anything, Foundryside is a really good novel. It has great worldbuilding mixed in with a hard magic system, with just enough new mechanics introduced to keep things interesting. Characters are relatable, the plot is enjoyable, and reading is just plain fun. The rest of the series lives up to book one. An interesting (positive) trait of the series is that everything about it just gets exponentially more... extra. At the beginning of Foundryside, it seems like a normal heist novel. Within thirty minutes of reading time, everything you thought you knew has been completely overturned. By the end of the novel, the relatively low stakes of "Sancia trying to steal things to get money" have been replaced with a battle of world-ending importance. This is just the first book. Seriously, it's a joy to read.
  22. Foundryside and its sequels are good for Cosmere fans. The series feels close enough to the Cosmere, has a hard magic system, and manages to do "magical heist" really well while also burning everything about the entire genre to the ground and building something better in its place.
  23. I fire a Getting to the point where all of this is Death's End /The Dark Forest spoilery, so I'm just going to hide everything. If you haven't read the Remembrance of Earth's Past series (that being The Three-Body Problem, The Dark Forest, and Death's End), consider this your unsolicited book recommendation of the hour.
  24. I wait until you choose someone with a low degree of deterrence as Swordholder and then systemically dismantle your defenses, taking the sandwich in the process.
