  1. Do we even need OOC here? I'm so confused.
  2. Astwyr looked apologetic. "Interstellar travel isn't necessarily simpler because I can do it at will. There's still a measure of complication to it, especially bringing someone along...aren't there spaceports on this planet you could visit?"
  3. I was obsessed with hot air balloons. Whenever I saw a big body of water, like a pond or a lake, I said, "Whoa. That's a big water bottle." I apparently said the word "Chandelier" while I was only one years old, having only heard the word months earlier. I think this was after my first Halloween. My mom had taken a little container of the Nerds candy and poured them on the table for me to eat. I was eating them one at a time. When I got to only four left, she heard me say, "Look, a square." Then I ate one, so there were three left. She might have been expecting a triangle next, but I said, "look, a heart." Then I ate one, so there were two left. And my mom had no idea what I was going to say. She listened very closely, and heard me say, "look, a mirror." I think I blew her mind that day.
  4. Ship. I see...so the Development has reached this part of the galaxy. "Hm. So, you want me to transport you offworld?"
  5. Chinese Chomping Cabbages?
  6. Astwyr hesitated. "Trapped...? How do you mean? Like, in this building? Or on this world?"
  7. Astwyr came and landed in front of the strange man. He seemed...very enthused, for some reason. "Uh, hello," he said, relying on his now automatic translation magic to translate his draconic speech into whatever language it was the man spoke.
  8. Well, guess what my dad finally unpacked today...

There may be a second attempt in my future.

    Maybe.

  9. Astwyr watched as the blue and silver sparks glittered and faded as they fell to the ground. Was that supposed to mean something? I really should have studied the local cultures more before I visited. Astwyr turned for one last moment towards the two storm-shrouded figures, which were quickly gaining distance. Then he decided to leave them behind. Alignment willing, I'll find them later. Astwyr flew towards the mysterious building, and the source of the firework.
  10. Astwyr continued to drift above the storm, watching the two figures below. He was suddenly seized by the strange feeling of being watched. It was unsettling. He craned his long neck around, scanning the ground. Where... He noticed a small building with a large telescope built into the top. It was pointed directly at him. More and more interesting things keep happening today...he thought to himself. How am I ever going to keep track of it all...?
  11. Astwyr blinked as he watched the Winged dart off into the storm, into the forest that was being pummelled below. ...Huh. That's...weird. He pulled out of his dive and climbed again, following at a distance. His interest was piqued now; he wasn't about to let this mysterious person leave. At least for a little.
  12. Astwyr soared above the storm, the light of the stars warming his soul. He basked in it, those glimpses of distant worlds... A rumble of thunder brought his attention back to the storm below him. It held a different beauty to the distant mystery of the stars; a violent, unpredictable danger, and yet a calm steadiness at the same time, when one could see the whole. Chaos coming together to form order. Everything followed a pattern. He smiled. This world was one of the beautiful ones. Astwyr was yanked from his thoughts as he noticed two figures flying inside the storm below. One of them was obviously one of the Winged. He couldn't discern the nature of the other one. What in the worlds...? Astwyr folded his huge wings closer to his narrow black-scaled frame, which was speckled with silver scales the color of stars. He dove into the storm towards the other figures.
  13. ??? Bookwyrm floated in the between space over the dream-plane where the final battle would soon happen. He'd done a lot of literal soul searching, and found a sleeper agent that Kaos had planted in his corrupted mind. One that would kill him instantly the moment it were to be purified, as long as the rest of Kaos still existed. Not so trusting after all, are you, Emma? The voice said. Bookwyrm winced and closed his eyes. The duality was...unbearable. The forefront of his mind and conscious, his basic logic, saw the hope that Kaos brought to Existence. The goodness that it's victory would bring. And yet, when he followed the logic paths deeper it all fell apart. And that voice...his own voice. A kind voice. Fighting the Kaos all the way. A star in the heart of his mind, his soul, wrapped in an enveloping sphere of darkness. He sighed. Then stepped back into reality. The Dreamscape of the Final Battle Bookwyrm materialized next to Emma, his Sword of Many Forms sheathed at his side. He wore his traditional deep blue tunic and cloak, speckled with stars, but there was something...off about them. They were tinged with the deep purple of Kaos, and many of the stars had taken on a strange blackness. He gazed out across the army that Emma -- Kaos -- had just summoned. Piercing the deepest part of him he felt a wave of terror, one that soon faded. Bookwyrm walked over. "Where do you need me?" @The Wandering Wizard @Nameless*
  14. I wasn't using a language; that was all jibberish. Did it actually translate to something?
  15. Aseterai Coeltentar wersteven reste polirtiv Waiyunjen?
  16. ...I can't believe I'm doing this. I will join. I'm throwing myself in the deep end hard here, and I am going to need to study the rules hard, and I may request being replaced with a pinch hitter depending on how it goes... And I haven't done SE for a while... But school is done now. So what the heck.
  17. ...What does this tell me about the ending...
  18. Hello.

  19. Perpetual drifted further in space until he found a small planet orbiting a small red star.
  20. In please actuality don't steal my name. I guess you could be another variation of "Bookwyrm" though. I'm "The Bookwyrm", you could be something else. Bookwyrm teleported the Sandwich to a distant world far from him.
  21. Bookwyrm continued drifting at the edges of the universe, ignoring the Sandwich.
  22. I have read the entire Shadow Saga, yes. And Ender in Exile. But that's my extent.
