  1. I guess this is true. I think what we'll likely see in Roshar's future is that rather than developing technology similar to our own, like Scadrial, they'll achieve the same level of technology through a big reliance on fabrials. And many of those fabrials will likely emulate these surges for practical purposes.
  2. Rym raised an eyebrow. "Huh," he simply stated.
  3. Bookwyrm sighed. "Fair." He turned to Rym. "I'll have a longer talk with you later, Rym. But I'll leave it to you." Then he vanished.
  4. Bookwyrm appeared. "Excuse me? I'm no typical narrator." Rym was a little surprised to see Bookwyrm in person. He had never laid eyes on his Narrator before.
  5. "Why exactly did Thaidakar want the sphere thingy buried?" Rym asked.
  6. Rym hesitated. "Uh....I know that I have cool powers, I'm just not sure what those powers are yet."
  7. Rym walked up to get a closer look at the sphere thingy, because he was interested in things like that.
  8. "I am an avatar, but because I am an avatar, I am directly tied to a narrator who sees a lot more than me. He gives me information and helps me out from time to time. You could consider me his...field agent."
  9. "Oh, sparks..." Rym looked around for a place to hide from the oncoming chaos.
  10. Rym stood silent for a moment, then replied: "It would seem to be a narration sourced from the essence of Thaidakar."
  11. Rym, somewhat disgruntled that he had been ignored, dismounted and walked over. "It could be the side effect of narrator interference, as well," he added.
  12. Rym suddenly appeared riding a large Selffalfrednahg. "Do either of you know where I could get another Mordite sword?" he asked. "I need to give one to someone."
  13. Unfortunately, they had no FTL drive and only basic propulsion, so they didn't get far at all.
  14. Which surprised everyone. Especially Bookwyrm, who hadn't been aware that Mythos was an allomancer.
  15. Bookwyrm realized that this was a good point, and made it so all the people that had drowned came back to life. But they still had free money.
  16. Bookwyrm replied that this was because of a misunderstanding that had come to pass during a ninja attack and the resulting edits.
  17. This meant that everyone got a lot of free money. Bookwyrm asked why Nameless was concerned.
  18. And so Gerald XI was mourned by Gerald X, Gerald IX, Gerald VIII, Gerald VII, Gerald VI, Gerald V, Gerald IV, Gerald III, Gerald junior, and Gerald senior.
  19. One day, a boy named Gerald XI found one of the flying swords. Because he had not been looking for it, he did not succumb to betrayal, and didn't lose his life, mind, or wallet.
  20. Indeed, the swords were cursed, so that anyone hunting for them would begin to betray all others in the universe.
  21. Indeed. The flying swords were priceless relics that would one day save the world, but now they were lost.
  22. This was because someone had let loose their collection of flying swords.
