  1. And so the Ghanderflaffle Empire rose again and saved Darkstalker from the ice monster.
  2. Rym watched Darkstalker and the Ice Monster fight, wondering who he should help, if anyone.
  3. Here's a new, more detailed picture of Jupiter that we get from JWST. You can see incredible detail in the clouds, and places with high pressures and temperatures, which glow in the infrared light. You can also see the planet's aurora's at the north and south poles. This telescope isn't just for deep space science, as it turns out!
  4. "Was that the one time I narrated a really tiny explosion and then you caused it to expand and destroy the whole universe?" Bookwyrm asked.
  5. I'm already kind of working for the Diagram...
  6. "It's the ability to enchant any object to do anything. And by anything, I mean literally anything. The only rule I can remember is that you can't bring back people from the dead. Other than that, absolutely no limitations whatsoever. Though it does corrupt the soul, as a side effect, the more you use it." Bookwyrm looked at Nameless. "The only ability more powerful that I have ever learned about in my travels is Narration."
  7. Now I'm someone who suspiciously and with questionable legality gathers the cryptic secrets and information that rattle from the lips of those whose life is fading.
  8. "Ack, Animus magic. The second most powerful magic system in all of the omniverse, and incredibly dangerous and unpredictable. Not to mention unfairly powerful," Bookwyrm said under his breath. "We'll see how this turns out...."
  9. "Huh," Rym said. "I didn't know you could do that."
  10. Rym dodged a ninja attack. "Wait, Nameless, did losing your Narrator powers cause you to lose your memory, too?"
  11. Bookwyrm looked up at Darkstalker. "Why are you here? I thought you were Wizard's oven, or something."
  12. "Hm...." Bookwyrm said, thinking. Rym turned to Mysterious X. "In any case, a creature that can take away Narration powers is something special indeed..."
  13. Rym sheathed his sword. "That's....interesting," Bookwyrm said as he dismissed his Narrationblade. "You said it," Rym replied. "It would seem as though holding his Narration powers causes a change in Nameless's personality."
  14. Rym healed instantly, and the Mordite sword reappeared in his hand as he stood up. Bookwyrm summoned his Narrationblade and stood ready to back Rym up. "Why is it that you need to stab Mysterious X so much, anyway?" Rym asked.
  15. The sword immediately vanished from Nameless's hand and appeared in Rym's. Rym smiled smugly. "I figured out one of my powers: people can't steal my stuff. Not even narrators, because I have a narrator of my own backing me up."
  16. "Nope. Not happening." Rym's hand went to the hilt of the sword, which was strapped to his back.
  17. "You agree? You were literally the one who suggested it!" Suddenly, Nameless's narrator powers returned, for no apparent reason.
  18. Rym gave Nameless another one of his flat looks. "That's a much worse idea."
  19. Rym sighed. "When it starts attacking, or screeching, or shredding reality to bits, I can take solace in the fact that at least I was sensible in the encounter." Rym resisted the urge to rest his hand on the hilt of his Mordite sword.
  20. Rym gave Everyone a flat look. "I don't think that's the best idea...."
  21. "Did you even ask it?" Rym asked. Is it even an "it" at all? He thought to himself.
  22. Rym walked over to where Everyone and Mysterious X were. He found Mysterious X very interesting.
