I visited two locations that were showing stock. I found the location but it was empty I can’t say if they were sold or if the books were pulled

Just imagine if this is the suckling child death rattle - and the whole world it refers to is the fused coalition. It’s Moash’s ultimate knife edge moment where he either embraces darkness fully or goes out like Darth Vader and makes the redemptive decision at the end

Penultimate(?) Release Chapters - 33
Inevitability replied to BinarySecond's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Until it’s canonically proven otherwise through book, I will never give up on the Lift-dragon theory! Plus now that we know more about Lift’s mother issues - her mother being a Shard would really complicate a relationship and would explain why Cultivation made a special effort with her -
Penultimate(?) Release Chapters - 33

Combining a few things here to make a few predictions: 1) we know the back cover blurbs are written by the sleepless 2) Ishar talks about not knowing Kaladin but he definitely knows Syl Prediction 1: Based on the WaT back cover blurb, I wonder if the Sleepless have been monitoring things under the direction of Ishar Prediction 2: remember the Tower, Crown, Spear death rattle? Again, with the WaT back cover blurb in mind- I think the Spear will actually turn out to be Syl. Side note - the tower probably is Urithiru but the crown? My guess is the forgotten Alerhi heritage that is hinted at. Prediction 3 - Ishar isn’t quite so insane as we all think - that is to say he’s found clarity amidst megalomania. He’s on a super villain arc to bind shards (he is the binder of gods). His twisted experiments in mind, he seems to have potential to be one of the most powerful sub-shard of entities and he could take aim at neutralizing the shards themselves, aka Cosmere Hitman -
I am taking this in two directions: 1) Maya becoming renewed from being a deadeye. Not sure how spear works into this 2) Syl is the “ancient daughter.” Perhaps her reforged connection with Kal is what will enable her to recover ancient memories. She also has literally been a spear

Dalinar did nothing wrong. Change my mind
Inevitability replied to Lord Spirit's topic in Stormlight Archive
It makes me wonder if there’s some outside influence happening to Adolin i think we’ve had it mentioned by Brandon that there is some Unmade stuff going on with Shallan’s family, I wonder if by association with her he is now coming under that influence -
Fair point, I always forget about Mistborn era 1. I think that era was so great because the consequences were real
-
Does anyone actually die? Teft wasn’t a main character. Wayne was at the end of an era so there’s no real impact. Let’s get some teeth in the cosmere! If someone dies, stay dead!

Whom will Dalinar appoint to be the replacement champion?
Inevitability replied to Oltux72's topic in Stormlight Archive
Woof….can you imagine him appointing Adolin as the champion and then Adolin losing?? yikes -
I’m personally hoping to see Dalinar grow fully into Darth Dalinar…
-
Hmm. This isn’t really the point of the thread but this got me thinking… Cultivation held back Dalinar’s memories of Evi. Cultivation seems to have held back Lift from growing Maybe a reunion will result in Cultivation taking away that growth delay…

Who's the person Hoid wants to contact?
Inevitability replied to Erklitt's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think where that specific interlude is located in WaT could matter for this idea. If that interlude is late in the book, that could still leave room for the 17th shard directive to have changed I’m not sure that this really impacts a whole lot. Those letters were more Easter eggs than anything. If they were written during the 10 days of WaT, it would at least provide the motivation for the letters. The other thing that would make more sense in this time frame - what had Odium really done lately during WoK that would have motivated Hoid to panic write his pen pal Gods across the Cosmere? I think it was easy to read those letters when WoK and WoR were released because we thought we were getting introduced to the Big Bad of the Stormlight Archive. Now that we have the released chapters - we see a panicked Hoid. This is definitely motivation to reach out -
Who's the person Hoid wants to contact?
Inevitability replied to Erklitt's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think the answer could be simple. I think this “contact” that Hoid is referring to could be what initiated the letters that we already have between Frost and Hoid. We might just not have had the context in WoK and RoW to understand the letters were foreshadowing and not current to the timeline of those books. We might even see in WaT that Hoid is frustrated by Frost’s response and then decides to reach out to the other shards for help dealing with Odium -

Death Rattle about Ishar not Taln
Inevitability replied to thaidenheimer's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think that’s definitely a possibility now. Great catch Personally, I still think it’s referring to Taln because it seems that Ishar has some choice in the matter of lessening the madness. Taln didn’t. To your point though, from Taln’s reaction (in OB?) for how long it has been since a desolation - I would say that the death rattle doesn’t fit with his character -
I appreciate the legwork! This one was debunked….

I mean, I think a long pipe would be pretty difficult to move with because the beads are so numerous and crushing… however this would be a cool idea for a submerged hideout with a permanent air intake system

We know that this Scholar visited Roshar in the past, which is presumably where the idea for creating Nightblood came from. To your point - did he witness a Radiant blade or an Honor blade
