  1. One thing I think is worth noting is it doesn’t really matter what he asked for. The nightwatcher can give a boon and curse regardless of what they asked for. Some of the early books have tall tales of people trying to think of the perfect wording and I think Sigzil says that’s not how it works. the boons we see on screen do have some connection to their question but it’s possible that this is unrelated to his request for more courage
  2. It’s an interesting question I could see the nightwatcher staying in the valley and the Bondsmith moving, there is a tower in urithiru with plants “just in case the nightwatcher visits” we see it in book 5 where Dalinar has meetings. So the nightwatcher definitely can move, but the question on would they is a different one.
  3. Maybe the spike makes a new hemalurgic construct like the Chimera we see in era 2? or could it be a god metal alloy? Like an 11th metal spike?
  4. I’m curious, if a peakspren comes out of a rock, then wants to get to their radiants shoulder can they jump tha high? Or do they have to climb their legs to get that high? Can a radiant bend down and pick them up?
  5. Alright I appreciate the help, I made a youtube video with some custom cards and mechanics if people want to take a look https://youtu.be/aJ228s2mSxA
  6. Best moment - our dustbringer was fighting a desolating one, waited the third ideal then used division to turn them to dust, was pretty cool. He only managed to land a blow due to advantage that came with being Empowered.
  7. I’ve been working through it and I think odiums forces are red black, I think k they would have a mechanic like Emerge that lets you sacrifice tokens to get your fused back on the battlefield. it might be a little over designed but I’m thinking a ”Highstorm” mechanic where some cards create a token and when there are 10 tokens damage is dealt to all untapped creatures to match how unsheltered characters are put in danger by the storm.
  8. Hey everyone, I am brainstorming what an MTG x Stormlight set would be. I am trying to think in broad strokes what mechanics/keywords the set would be built into the set instead of focusing on what colors each character falls into. Here are the mechanics or keywords I like so far Storm (hehe) forecast, transmute, Some kind of Level up feature to mimic swearing ideals Disguise maybe-battle cry, Mentor/training, squad I think some kind of Highstorm mechanic would be interesting, but I am not sure how to implement it Infuse - you have to pay a certain amount of mana to keep things going like shardplate and fabrials. There’s an existing mechanic like this in mtg that’s barely used Say the words - fufill certain requirements then get certain benefits maybe transform cards, like the “solve a case” mechanic from murders of karlov manor Fused obviously have a reincarnation mechanic that focuses on creating parshendi tokens so they can bring back their fused. What should it be called? Desolation? Any other interesting mechanics that would match the stormlight archive? Or any ideas what a set would look like? What colors would focus on what etc?
  9. My possible ideas -like spiderman - can climb walls -has their body covered in adhesion kind of like glue traps, weapons that hit them get stuck, -sticky hair? The idea is they could whip their hair like a built in whip to trap things
  10. Just stab in the dark could a god metal give off some kind of radiation? Could there be a chunk of honor or odiums metal in that location that helps them grow larger? I think it’s unlikely but all I can think of when there probably isnt a perpendicularity out there (unless honors is moving around there)
  11. My interpretation was that it worked for wax because he wanted to create lerasium but wasn’t creating it with the intent to become a mistborn himself
  12. Yeah I agree, with what we know about hemalurgy if you have spike with allomatic pewter you still need to know the right spot. maybe part of the campaign is finding records of the right spot to “install” the infinity spike and the villains can’t use it till they find the records. maybe there’s a spot like the heart or something that works for all metal spikes
  13. It could be a spike that has multiple abilities. like the powers that are stolen don’t decay and it’s been used multiple times so it has stuff similar to the bands of mourning coinshot x3, pewter x2, feruchemical copper etc I don’t know how that would be accomplished, a spike made of several metals?
  14. I like the idea of the spike holding its charge forever it could also be a key to an Indiana jones style ruin where you put the spike into a statue and it opens a vault. i wonder if it’s a spike that has a unique interaction with Kandra
  15. I asked a friend and it sounds like the snowflake is a symbol of lumar https://coppermind.net/wiki/File:Lumar_icon.svg so not as big of a discovery as I thought haha
