theory Lady in the voidbringing diagram
Argent replied to The Third Door's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah, I'm sorry. I too thought she would be important - there were theories, back in the day, about how she was going to be key to us figuring out the magics of Roshar (theories, some of which ran close to your ideas @The Third Door). Like VenDell's coat, it was not meant to be... -

An Interview with Shire Post Mint About Mistborn Coins
Argent commented on Chaos's article in Columns and Features
Oh, I have a recommendation. I recommend you find those smelters quickly, 'cause my wallet is burning with all the money I am ready to pay for spheres!- 2 comments

Perhaps. But there is a lot in Jasnah's past that's unlikely to be revealed, and I am not sure Jasnah would go into too much detail about her experiences in Shadesmar - my intuition tells me she'll say how she avoided death, but not give a detailed account of her life these past few months. Regardless, that's not a conversation for this topic.

Only a small part of the Parshendi/parshmen of the world were transformed. It's reasonable to assume future passes of the Everstorm will bring more change. We don't know. Much about Jasnah will be mystery until she gets her own book.

Yeah, well, I ran all the way to the US, so it's probably not worth the effort anyway. You should join the site's Discord and chat with @Botanica, she does a lot of book research for her art, might help track down tiny details about whatever it is you want to do next. Which we all hope would come soon

My argument is not "it's a regular bird". I've seen a surprising number of people grow absolutely convinced, no doubts, that Mraize has an Aviar. Which, given how little we know, strikes me as wishful thinking. It's less the claim and more the certainty with which it is made that bothers me.
-
I find this incredibly presumptuous. Sure, it's possible that his chicken is an Aviar, but to claim it with such conviction with virtually no evidence... I don't like it.

I haven't heard anything, but I wouldn't be surprised to see an announcement soon. -

Coin makers joining the Cosmere family
Argent replied to Canton of Finance's topic in Introduce Yourself!
*waves* Hey there! I promised to give you my money some time ago, so this relationship is already off to a great start. In fact, it looks like the project just broke the $75k goal (yay for bronze!), so it's going pretty strongly. I was going to say that I would love to see more Cosmere coins, but not that many words have those - outside of Mistborn, only Elantris and Warbreaker seem to have have coins, and they are described in neither one. But hey, I'd love to see your work Dragonsteel and come up with something! I mean, I'd really love to see Stormlight spheres, but that's not at all your alley... -
This seems like a fun question, actually. On one hand, the blue lines Allomancers see are "more Spiritual than anything", but on the other they do see them. So it's a visual interpretation of something that's not normally visible... Temporal (atium, electrum, gold, and malatium) shadows would be very similar to this, I feel - another peak into the Spiritual Realm, interpreted by the common senses. Could store these things? Maybe. But to what effect? Make yourself better at seeing steel lines? I don't know if you can be better at something like this - the Inquisitors' trick seems more skill than raw... visual power. Maybe you could use stored Steelsight to see lines farther away, and more clearly? But then that's the same as enhancing (via duralumin or flaring) your steel. There is some elegance to the powers circling back to each other in this way, calling back to how all power is just investiture in the Spiritual Realm, but I doubt that's the case here...

One last time before I continue Arcanum Unbound
Argent replied to Knghtstlker's question in Cosmere Q&A
So, with all of this, it is important to keep in mind that it's all still in the Easter egg stage. You've already read Stormlight before Elantris, which means you are unlikely to have picked up on the Elantrian there - but that hasn't really diminished your enjoyment of the series. I'd argue that the Warbreaker tie-in at the end of Words of Radiance is the biggest non-Hoid cross-world event, so anything else you run into to will be smaller. I cant' say I understand why you feel compelled to read Arcanum Unbounded as if it were a single book. It's a collection, you can easily jump around. You can use it only for Edgedancer, and read the rest of the stories after Oathbringer. But if you were to read it straight through, having read Era 1 is enough for Secret History. So you can do that. But if you are essentially saying "I am going to read all of AU", then we can't really do much, can we? That'll leave you with only Elantris, I believe, and you can read that pretty much whenever (though, like The Bands of Mourning, you get a little bit more out of Secret History if you read Elantris first). -

He did say there was going to be a UK tour, after the US one (and after Thanksgiving), but no official announcement yet. If I were to guess, I'd say early-to-mid December.
