This is incredible! One of my favourite pieces of Sanderson artwork.

I love everything about it, from the detail on the safehand, to the depiction of her sketchbook. I'm really wishing that we were able to upvote more than once right now, as this truly deserves it.

I don't know about all of the details, there's so many of them I'm sure I've missed lots of them. For instance, I've just only now noticed the figures on the staircase behind her, if you don't mind me asking, who are they meant to be? One of them looks rather like a nurse, is she supposed to be a Silent Gatherer? Maybe with Taravangian? Is this in Kharbranth?

And since I forgot to mention it in my earlier comment, the lighting in this is wonderful, it really makes the piece come alive.

Yes, this is Kharbranth and the people in the background are probably staff from the hospital, male scholar and a female nurse sounds on point. I haven`t given them much though beyond their appearance. Honestly Pattern`s form and Shallan`s dress were enough to give my brain some hard time! And that save hand...but I`m happy with how it turned out, and after reading your comment it really struck the right note!

Wow, this is incredible! I love the design of the havah, with the double layered sleeve for the safehand! What a beautiful idea. Pattern's otherworldly angles are really well rendered too. He's got that terrifying sinister form that originally scared her away. Super well done!

I thank you too, for these kind words!  I`m glad my art is so well received. Thank you all! The series are a big passion of mine and it`s great to be able to share it with all of you. I admit sometimes Mr.Sanderson makes me wonder, how exactly something would looks like. Drawing the characters helps me see them more clearly on the next reading.

I wouldn't get too excited, I have entertained the thought of kidnapping artists I like and forcing them to draw pretty fanart for me...

Now that`s a disturbing idea you have there  I have the feeling, my new piece might look somewhat different than the other 2.

This is, easily, top 3 best Cosmere art pieces I have seen. Simply stunning.

Not to be too capitalism and all, but do you sell prints? I would love to own a copy of this! Also, do you have a deviant page or anything where you showcase other work you have done?

Sadly I`m still not selling prints, never thought about this actually. I promise I`ll think harder about the prints. I didn`t know that someone would want that honestly. This means a lot for me, wishing to have my art on your wall is really something!

No, thank you! One of my biggest first world problems is the lack of excellent Cosmere art. This is actually one of the reasons I am so happy about the White Sands graphic novels even if they are a bit underwhelming - I absolutely LOVE seeing these worlds come to life! This piece of Shallan you did helps fill in that void a bit. I showed my wife last night and she was so impressed. She is a huge fan of Shallan and was in awe of how well you captured her. So, again, thank you!

I would legitimately pay you money for this. I backed the Kaladin kickstarter mainly for the art book haha. So please, if you do prints let me (and others) know. You have wonderful talent and I would be more than happy to support that in whatever small way I can.

In the meantime, would it be ok to download the pic and use it as a background or something? Or can I share the pic (with appropriate citation of you/your social media)?

Ahhh yes. I always forget about this little known bit of legalese. Law is so tricky sometimes! Like, as a random example, it is ok to set-up and abandon an ally on the battlefield but it not ok to stab them in the eye in a hallway. Who can keep track of all of this?!

CaptainRyan: I`m really happy when I make other people happy with my art, sure money are a necessity, but words such as... all I`ve read here, are the biggest inspiration. Give my thanks to your wife, girls are usually harder to please, so I`m 2 times happier she liked my Shallan! If I find more time, maybe a Patreon page would be good decision, but for now I`m free  About the sharing and all that, be my guest! I wont mind some publicity. I agree with you that we need more Cosmere art. I`ll tell you, I keep wondering how a Parshendi would look like in their war form, this will be my hint for the next piece I`m doing. I can`t promise when it will be done, since I got a lot on my head atm, but I`ll do my best!

Yeah, well, I ran all the way to the US, so it's probably not worth the effort anyway. You should join the site's Discord and chat with @Botanica, she does a lot of book research for her art, might help track down tiny details about whatever it is you want to do next. Which we all hope would come soon

I`ll do my best, I promise it wont take 5 mounts like this one did  Too much work alas.
