  1. Very interesting stuff my thoughts -why is the mists more playful? What has changed with Harmony? -how are the cars flying is it something like (emberdark spoiler) -could the author be a Kandra? Or what about that slow swift in mistborn 3? That would be a deep cut. -who are the discordant? Are they Kandra who follow bleeders philosophy?
  2. For enlightened truthwatchers I feel confident saying that in book 4 Navani says that renarin can’t use illumination the same way other truthwatchers can. I think this might be more of a game design thing than a lore thing. if I find the quote I’ll add it to this post
  3. I'm back with more ideas, I'm fleshing them out now for some homebrew so I would love ideas. - larkin in the tower. When Urithiru is first discovered its during the weeping so stormlight is scarce. There are reports of spheres going dun in the unexploered halls and the party is recruited to find the stormlight thief (spoilers its a larkin that somehow has been hibernating in the tower) -Ryshadium encounter - the party finds a herd of ryshadium while traveling, the most interesting thing I can think of so far is a horse is injured and needs help finding shelter before a highstorm hits. -more of a villain but what if there are ardents trying to gain power behind the scenes of a warcamp like a mini Hierocracy -the party finds a blinking spanreed in an abandoned camp, who could be on the other side?
  4. I’ve been brainstorming here are my ideas -save a budding radiant from Nale or odiums forces - investigate the diagrams secret hospitals in Khabrathan -form a resistance behind enemy lines possibly in an odium controlled town.
  5. I think there is a difference between a resonance and a “surge combo” windrunner resonance - additional squire Windrunner surge combo - reverse lashing the rules seem to have an additional feature that could be a surge combo or a resonance personally I think it would be interesting to homebrew features that make willshapers and elsecallers better in the cognitive realm. Maybe willshapers are better at sculpting beads and elsecallers are better at manifesting. or maybe edgedancers get good at handling animals? We see lift talk to that one urchin and that is theorized to be a resonance. It’s unclear so in game terms giving the most nature based order a nature buff seems appropriate another idea a friend of mine had was doing something similar to the dustbringer ability to kick up dust when using abrasion, so maybe edgedancers can cause plants to grow behind them, creating difficult terrain
  6. I don’t know if it was directly stated but the idea that he is “the only know living shard” makes me think he is still a shard and still alive so it’s unlikely he gave his shards away. (Unless someone is pretending to be Harmony) I think releasing Kandra, changing intent etc is so far the best. makes me wonder what “dead” shards performed the same task. The only one I can think of is virtuosity (midnight painter spoiler) And vin gave up her shard? Or was it kelsier who did that.
  7. I could see them being “retired” a majority were going insane towards the end of SA5 makes you wonder if more would get created or they would be replaced with different troops. as far as anti light I don’t know if it’s super easy to get, right now you need to get voidlight (from Roshar) clear its identity, then reverse it. You would have to go behind enemy lines to get it.
  8. It could be something related to northern Scadrial but it could also be that Sazed/Harmony did something to distance themselves from Scadrial in general .
  9. It’s a stretch but if they can view light that other people can’t what if they could view investiture? for example stormlight is light with a blue tinge, we see it in So what if somone made a lightweaving of say a tree and this person could notice that the tree has a blue tinge and know that the tree is not what it seems. not quite seeing through lightweaving but would be better than nothing
  10. It’s open to interpretation im leaning towards the spore eater having some control in the future. the main thing ill add is that captain crow seemed to want the mutiny to happen, she allowed herself to be led away so if she had offensive capabilities she may have been choosing not to use them. like I said open to interpretation.
  11. Not sure if we are looking for evidence or speculation but wasn’t there a bird that would puff up its chest feathers? Was that different than a streamer? also there was a line about how aviar are opportunist carnivores, eating nuts and plants and the occasional bug this doesn’t match what we see of Mraizes “chicken” on Roshar which hunted a mole. So was Mraize using a lesson common variety?
  12. In this book Dusk mentions that the giant sea creatures are most common around the islands/patji this reminds me of the chasmfiends on Roshar that are bigger on the shattered plains due to I think it’s safe to assume flora/fauna can grow bigger around the perpendicularity over time. what do you think are the odds there are giant plants/flowers near the nalthis perpendicualrity? Or giant standings on taldain? im trying to think if there is anything interesting that could be done with scadrial or Sel.
  13. We know the Rose empire has 80 factions, two being the glory and heritage factions. what could the others be? I’ve been brainstorming and so far I think it’s likely there could be a commerce faction - focuses on trade and commercial success Innovation faction - focuses on creating a new future for the rose empire. any other ideas for what factions could exist?
  14. Im curious how this group was formed. Cultivation seems to only interact with those who seek the nightwatcher. Could somone have showed up and become cultivations agent there? As far as invested abilities we really can’t say, maybe some had boons or banes from the nightwatcher I wonder how they got missions from cultivation… Spren? Visions like Dalinar?
  15. What I figured was the water is being used as fuel and is being passed to the sand. If you drank alcohol that would get passed to the sand making it “drunk.” So if you were making a straight line with the sand then it might wobble or curve.
  16. okay did some research I can't find anything about kandra and fingerprints so I might have hallucinated that part lol.
  17. lowkey I could see a half kandra child showing up. Do not quote me on this but I thought I remember Brandon saying when kandra impersonate people they can also get their fingerprints and he said its part mimicry skill part magic (which I assume is forming a connection with your victim by consuming their bones or something crazy) so I would think DNA would be on the table. I just don't know what would be the result. I think the conservative guess is a human who is more flexible and maybe shape shift their hands? Like turning fingers into skeleton keys or something.
  18. We saw BAM change a singers form without a storm, so the intervention of a shard could change the form

    Era 3 Hopes

I want to see the nose ball sport Wayne was starting regulation for. Wax also mentions how nobles were losing their reputation/respect as commoners wouldn’t clear a path for him in the city. I’m interested to see what the political landscape is
  20. Yeah that’s fair, adding disadvantage/advantage wouldn’t work well with a standard deck of cards. just brainstorming you could draw a card at the beginning or end of turns some kind of “event” like every other turn, or halfway through a game, every 5 turns etc you could draw a card based on capturing or losing certain units
  21. Okay I've fallen behind on keeping up on this forum but was rereading SA5 yesterday but found a line where Yanagawn beat Adolin and said "You only pulled disadvantage cards though" so it sounds like there is some kind of chance deck that players pull from to either get disadvantages or advantages. Not sure if any of the rules have incorporated that yet Found on pg 1086
  22. I think it’s gonna be subjective but valor strikes me as a red white -boros themed shard I would then make devotion white/green bur I think most of this is spot on
  23. In the future scadrial will let people become organ donors but for allomatic powers, if they are the verge they give permission to be made into spikes and a plasma to donate allomatic powers in return for money now that people can be spiked without being killed. The more rare the power the more money.
  24. There’s a forum where people have tried to put together some rules, might be worth looking into
  25. That is true about the Deepest ones, I just got to that part in my read through and they mention placing wood floors to slow them down, Magnified ones later destroy them to help the deepest ones, fighting in pairs is also a simple way to help with husked ones, I feel like the main advantage of a husked one is suprise, what about some kind of alerter fabrial to warn you when its behind you?
