  1. Beside the brave adventurer, a small fuzzy creature named Fluffy appeared out of nowhere. Of course, Fluffy was a blood thirsty creature who feasted on the corpses of its enemies. But that was only a side note. Fluffy was quite fond of tea. And crumpets! Fluffy was short, with the appearance of a puffball combined with an adorable puppy. In a high pitched voice, Fluffy said, "Hello there! What is this world?"
  2. Darkness melted into existence, a creature, a being. Remove this rp the being says. It is unholy here, almost as unholy as coherence in TLT. Depart hence, RP! In the meantime. Pineapple does not belong on pizza!
  3. Endings...

    I hate and love endings.

A nice satisfying ending, where no-one has died, where people still are friends, where grief and love is vibrating through you, is good, but then... you know that it has to end. It has to come to a close... It has to be finished.

When the book closes and you breathe a sigh, knowing that it was a good story, a good time, you long for more. You long for it to have gone on longer. If only it could've gone on longer... If only the adventure had just continued on forever. If only...

But, alas, it has to end. The story has to continue in other ways. Other ways outside of that adventure, and into a new one. A new story. New friends. New beginnings. New places. New, new, new. And, perhaps, some old mixed in. Bits of the past, brought back into the story.

And, as you set the book on a shelf, smiling softly, you remember what a fun ride it was. Oh, how much fun it was to do all that. Made friendships you'd never thought possible, seen places you'd never thought you'd see, done what you'd never thought possible. Oh, how great was that journey. The destination was the end, it seems, but... in that ending, you realize, the real destination was the journey. The real destination was the experience along the way.

And that makes it all worth it.

All the pain of leaving, all the sorrow, all the grief. It becomes worth it in that moment of realization. Because you realize that you are now given opportunities for new beginnings, beginnings where you can have a new, exciting journey, make new friends, see new places, do the impossible.

And, so, the end has arrived. I ask myself, am I ready for it? Am I ready for the next chapter?

And, deep in my heart, I know the answer.

    Yes.

This is how I feel after finishing a show (whether it’s show choir or theatre). Honestly really beautifully put, Thaidakar.

      Thanks, both of you.

I'm moving today and that's the mass of feelings from it.

  4. especially one named Bartimus Crowfeet.
  5. The takeaway from today is that I really want Rege-Jean Page to play Kelek in a stormlight adaptation.

In other news, I am working away at Count of Monte Cristo and am en route to being finished sometime in the next week or two, depending on a few things.

I figure I probably won't be on tomorrow, so better early then never!

  8. So...

I can't control myself very well.

Well, enough to not get fifty more copies of LotR. Not enough though, apparently. I may have got the deluxe edition of Dune, even though I have the leather-bound barnes and nobles edition and the paperback.

    Barnes and nobles is dangerous.

I also got Darkstalker, the only Wings of Fire book I now own. My favorite of those books.

  10. Cheeseburger. (Start a new sentence.)
  11. The raven was named Runaeld.
  12. Thaidakar nodded ever so slightly, trying to find flaws in the new world with his Narration. In his characteristic suit and his false smile disguising a look of paranoia, Thaidakar was truly a handsome man, but that was mostly overshadowed by his choices. As it should be. Thaidakar was an odd person, and that was that. His eccentricity had only grown after his screen time had slowly decreased, or suddenly decreased. Everything is sudden in the grand scheme of things, as the Narrator was growing fond of saying. He smiled softly, an edge of genuineness in the movement. This was an opportunity, perhaps. A new world... new people... new chances. This was his chance. Of course, Thaidakar would have to relinquish his powers to his son, Spook, who had proven himself quite worthy. However, Thaidakar was growing quite fond of his involvement in the thread. He would not like to simply give it away, not now. Perhaps not for a while longer. On the matter of Spook, something was odd with that boy. There had always been something. But this time... this time there was something different. Thaidakar had heard of the adventure in the Temple of Plot, but, nevertheless, something about it had him on edge. All of it. If there was a new enemy, why wasn't the villain, whoever they were, here yet? He would have to stew over it some more. If it wasn't Plot himself, who was it?
  13. He was eating his chouta.
  14. *smile* Fitz: Nothing in life is free. Dex: Love is free. Sophie: Knowledge is free. Jensi: Friendship is free. Biana: Self-respect is free. Keefe: Everything's free if you don't pay for it. The Squad: ... Sophie: Keefe, that's illegal- Fitz: No, let them finish!
  15. ...

    Moving sucks.

    Packing sucks.

Leaving rp on an mc server sucks no matter how ridiculous that sounds.

Getting something finished so you can do other things by doing it excessively in a period of a few short days when you're needed for packing but you also want to make a good choice sucks.

Trying to keep up activity on things sucks.

The habit of reading as much as I used to being absorbed by the above sucks. (Seriously, only fifty pages a day...)

The habit of writing getting absorbed by rping sucks.

    ...

    Saturday sucked.

This week has certainly been something.

I've done some minor MC RP. It was fun.

I'm sorry that it's been a rough week. I hope it gets better soon.

  17. Thaidakar stepped through, five Soulless behind him. They talked among themselves, unintentionally excluding Thaidakar from the conversation. That made sense. Thaidakar had been away from most soulless for centuries and more. Perhaps millennia. More were coming, and that was all that mattered. He smiled at everyone else, feeling his power. It was coming... he could feel it trying to take control of him. But he couldn't let it. He had to fight it. At least for now... maybe after the fight he could finally rest.
  18. There was a time when Shakespeare woke up one day and decided "I'm going to start something famous." So, he took to pen a very special line...

Ok ok ok I know I’m late but I LOVE Shakespearean insults. I went to a Shakespeare festival last year and bought some very overpriced “Shakespearean insult bandages”. They’re bandaids with Shakespeare’s insults on them. One of my personal favorites: “Thou smell of mountain goat.”

  19. Thaidakar, as a Windrunner, uses the perpendicularities to get to another one on Roshar and manages to get out there just as Dalinar is closing it.
  20. THaidakar watched as the person named Thaikidar, who was definitely not him, plunged night blood in their chest. "Ah well." He then jumped into a second perpendicularity of the Cultivation variety.
  21. Thaidakar simply caught night bloood by the hilt and tossed it at the steelrunner. Thaidakar put on his aluminum lined tophat and jumped into the perpendicularity.
  22. Thaidakar simply pressed a button on his watch, a forcefield forming around him. Stick landed right against the forcefield, probably breaking a few teeth.
  23. The sandwich appears in your hands, but immediately returns to where it was. Thaidakar had keyed it to a specific teleportation device to be teleported back within seconds of being removed from its spot.
  24. Thaidakar laughed in his location, the sandwich was far from him somewhere where nobody else knew about.
