It’s very different from SA, BS changes the entire plot and most of the characters. there’s a few similarities that are easy to pick up on. I do think Shallan is better than Shinri though Szeth is better than jek. All in all its a good book, gets a bit long winded 2/3 in but after that it speeds up.

I’ll I want to see in book 4 is Wax actually leading house Ladrian. He has like a million people depending on him and we never really get to see him lead.

On the nightblood thing. 1: Nalthis is very undeveloped and someone with a gun can very easily take out someone with something like Nightblood by themselves and then take the blade. 2: I assume that Azures blade is a more general nightblood so it’s not that strong. It can be stolen very easily and is practically a OP Shardblade which Roshar has plenty of less powerful ones so that won’t be a huge problem. 3: the amount of breaths and skill it would take to mass produce Nightblood will deplete all the rest of the Breaths on Nalthis There just aren’t enough of Endowments investiture

That tech would became available to everyone very quick if they tried to mass produce it. there’s nothing original about Nightblood except that he’s consumed an insane amount of investiture

If it was completely different wouldn’t it be a different series. There’s gotta be some plot point that is carried on. Most likely it will be a large one. And the reason WoK introduced SA was because it was the first book... While Book 6 is the 6th book therefore does not need to be introduced in that book.

A sequel series that picks up the pieces of the last one. there will be a nice ending but something will happen that is big enough to write 5 SA books on and I don’t think we’ll first hear about it in book 6.

Yes, but since it’s the end of a series I do believe we’ll need a gut punch to set us up for the second arc. Or else there wouldn’t be a need for 5 new books. Its not a completely unrelated series it just has different characters.
