You can move Breaths to any non-Invested material without any issue, but Awakening non-biological materials is much harder. I wonder if perfect polstones would be useful for holding Breath deliberately meant for transfer, but not needing to be carried by anyone.

Convincing someone to give you breath.
Trusk'our replied to Tamriel Wolfsbaine's topic in Warbreaker
What if they were evil and you just needed a way to remove their power? I don't think that Hemalurgy would be evil in that case, especially since it leaves the option of healing them. -
If you took a polestone from Roshar and set it out in Scadrial's Mists, would it charge with the Investiture there?

An Unsealed Metalmind can be used by anyone who touches it, is aware of what it is, and uses Intent to activate it. However if you wanted to create a Metalmind that could grant a power only to someone else, I have an idea. Give the person in question an Unsealed Metalmind that allows them to store Identity. You then blank your own Identity while tapping theirs when you create the new Metalmind, hopefully encrypting it with their Identity so that only they can use it. Assuming that you can't tap someone else's Identitmind, you could instead use Hemalurgy to spike off a piece of their Identity, then blank blank your own Identity while not blanking theirs while creating the Unsealed Metalmind. This has more problems than the previous idea, as you would need to heal them from the damaged of the spiking, and we don't even know if a Hemalurgist can selectively store only one of their spikes Identity and ignore their own. However, I thought to cover all avenues, just in case.

I have a little idea as to how someone could learn the contents of a huge library without ever even cracking the cover of most of them. First, go to the library. Second, start reading a book, but also look at the titles of the other books. Third, use a Soulstamp to rewrite your past to say that you read a different book than you actually read. Fourth, save the information of the books in a Coppermind, allowing you to retain their knowledge even after the stamp expires. What do you guys think of this plan?

If a Returned were to be transformed into a Steel Inquisitor, would the minor physical alterations made to their body by having so many spikes (greater height and a gravely voice) be possible to negate by their own perception of self?

Why don't Koloss die from infection, even though their skin tears and can expose the flesh underneath for years before they die?

The Surge of Transportation can be used to move between the physical and cognitive realms. Could it also be used to fully enter and exit the spiritual realm, allowing one the enter at one point and exit at another, essentially allowing them to teleport? The Oathgates seem to do something like this, so could an Elsecaller with enough practice do the same?

It has been confirmed via WoB that savantism leads to a greater degree of efficiency in Investiture use. This is due to the individual becoming closer to the Spiritual realm, most likely. As a side note, I would venture to say that coming closer to the Spiritual realm is also the result of a Radiant swearing further oaths, which causes them to become more efficient with their Investiture, but it could also just have something else to do with their strengthened Nehel Bond.

One thing you have to consider is that Feruchemical nicrosil changes your spiritual aspect, which Hemalurgy directly interacts with, while Feruchemical pewter would presumably be only a physical change. We know that this can be the case because that's how Atium youth works; nothing about the Spiritual aspect changes, only the physical aspect is modified.

Wax, Wayne, Marasi, and Steris are all tied as my favorite characters. They're all so unique, and I can appreciate them for their different qualities and how they interact with one another. It would be impossible for me to choose one over the others.

Would an Invested power gained temporarily via Feruchemically Nicrosil be a valid target of Hemalurgy, since it is an actual change made to the Spiritual aspect?

If you were to exchange American dollars for Rosharan Spheres, how would they compair value wise?

In The Emperor's Soul, Shai mentions that a Soulstamp placed on the emperor enough may lead to a permanent taking of the stamp. And that got me wondering; since using a form of Investiture constantly used will eventually cause savantism to occur in the practitioner, would someone who stamped themselves and renewed the stamp before it ran out for a long enough period of time become a savant, causing the stamp to take permanently, or really, would the effects of the stamp stay even after the stamp itself dissolved?

The "Stormblade" might be more powerful than Nightblood
Trusk'our replied to Trusk'our's topic in Stormlight Archive
And so begins the Stormfather's character development, realizing that "yeah, I'm actually pretty cool with not automatically blasting everything to bits in front of me, so long as it could potentially obliterate the very fabric of my being", he soon sees his own bias, and becomes quite a quaint little storm cloud. Okay, but in all seriousness, I think that the Stotmfather would actually be okay if Night blood were left out in a storm, since the Stormfather would actually be floating pretty far above the Awakened blade. Plus, the Storm itself would likely satiate Night blood's hunger (at least temporarily) by opening a hole to the spiritual realm. -
There was a quote (sorry I can't show it right now, I'm on mobile currently) that said that as Invested as Night blood was, it wasn't as Invested as the Stotmfather. We also saw in Oathbringer that Dalinar could potentially summon the Stotmfather as a Shardblade. Furthermore, in Rhythm of War we hear from the Honorspren that Dalinar almost killed the Stotmfather, likely by trying to summon him as a blade. I believe this was dangerous for the Storm father because of the sheer mass of Investiture that composess his essence. After all, Night blood is less Invested and it is constantly leaking it's Investiture because it is physically impossible to store that much Investiture in such a small space without it trying to blow itself apart to relieve the pressure. But even if being summoned was dangerous for the Stotmfather, it might be interesting to see if he could prove a match, or even a superior to Night blood.

Most forms of Invested healing in the Cosmere use the Spiritual aspect as a blueprint filtered through the Cognitive aspect to direct the Investiture in question so that it heals the Physical aspect. But how can you heal the Spiritual aspect then, if the blueprint itself is damaged? Does the Cognitive aspect take complete control then, or what?

Rasium probably stores emotion whwn used feruchemically
Trusk'our replied to LordFlea's topic in Stormlight Archive
Perhaps some attribute that exemplifies commitment, or the ability to resist external influence on your Spiritweb? Kind of makes me wonder what Cultivation's metal would do Allomantically or Feruchemically. Grow and cultivate your Spiritweb in some way, perhaps similar to Lerasium? -
Infused Gemstones are a bit similar to Bio-Chromatic breaths in this way; there is a constant stream of energy flowing from the spiritual realm into the physical realm, causing a minor effect, which in the gemstone's case happens to be a small bit of light. The actual Investiture itself is not expended in this process, potentially allowing for a permanent and steady source of energy.

So, I've been thinking about ways that a person could enhance their control over a Hemalurgic construct. More Spikes: this one's pretty obvious, as we've seen it happen already. More spikes in a controlled construct equals and easier time dominating it. Enhanced Mind: this one should also be intuitive, as we see from Vin in Hero of Ages that she begins to feel mentally fatigued by controlling tens of thousands of Koloss simultaneously. So, something like the Blessing of Presence might help, as might tapping determination from an Electrummind. Stronger Connections: this is more of a theory, really. Since it seems that the reason that you can control a Hemalurgic construct in the first place is a weakened Spiritweb on their part, plus a Connection forged via Emotional Allomancy or some other method. So increasing the strength of your Connection, possibly via Feruchemical duralumin, might be able to help. Weakened/Removed Identity: Since Identity is kind of the separation between the Spiritweb and the rest of the world, removing or reducing the Identity of your controlled constructs, which could be accomplished via Feruchemical aluminum, may increase your capacity to control them. So, does anybody have any other ideas on how to improve one's control over a Hemalurgic construct?

When Navani learned the Rhythms, what exactly let her do that? Was it that she was able to create the right Connection by training with Rabonial? Could a non-Rosharan learn the Rhythms?

We've seen that Kelsier's spirit is stapled to his body via the Hemalurgic spike in his eye. So, could it be possible to take a Shade and staple it to a body, such as a Lifeless, to potentially bring back to life the person who was killed?
-
When an Allomancer controls a Hemalurgic construct, they seem to forge a Connection to them, allowing them to continue to influence them even after they've stopped using their emotional Allomancy. Could one use Hemalurgic duralumin to take the Allomancer's control over the Hemalurgic constructs they've dominated, then give it to themselves?

Whoa. I hadn't even thought of that, but that would be really cool to see. Although, Shardblades have different percentages of Honor's and Cultivation's God metals, so there's at least one example of something like that existing. I wonder, do they have different Allomantic and Feruchemical uses based on the percentage?
