Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Shob the Voidbringer replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
granted, 10 chickens fall from the sky, and 100 hours after they come, they turn into sized up emu's that want to kill you for taking them out of paradise, and they have an internal compass pointing them towards you. if you kill them, you're free from the terror. to make it possible for you to survive, the police are willing to help once they turn into emu's. i wish for gak to get an awesome tree fort against the emu's -
Shallan's Karma Houdini
Shob the Voidbringer replied to jamesbondsmith's topic in Stormlight Archive
on the brightside, this should be ending about now, because kaladin won't be as depressed, now that he's accepted that he can't save everyone -

at first i thought Odium + Honor could be justice, but then i thought possibly consequence, but that seems more like honor and ruin. maybe Odium + Honor = Control? or Discipline?

Why have no genocide happened on singers?
Shob the Voidbringer replied to Alicila's topic in Stormlight Archive
i will also note something that remains unmentioned: regals. if there are around as many fused as there are radiants, as people often compare them as equal, we must remember that regals were there during desalations, and are not to be underestimated (i don't recall direct confirmation of this, but forms of power were mentioned in the listeners songs.). also, if there were humans working with odium, it's likely that lots of singers questioned the fused and such, especially with so much time between earlier desalations, and probably join the humans. -
they can use the plates, and i'm pretty sure that only anti-stormlight causes pain to radiants, and anti-voidlight for fused

Rhythm of War Full Book Reactions
Shob the Voidbringer replied to Chaos's topic in Stormlight Archive
i finished RoW a while ago, but decided i'd post here now, so here's my reaction to chapter 113 me: reads chapter 113. okay, then reads next 2 chapters. then thinks, wait, and go's back to chapter 113. proceeds sit stunned, and then tries reading again, but can't, as my eye temporarily lost the ability to focus on words -
so after my brother read RoW, he noted that the anti-light rhythms send light away, and thought about the battle applications of this, including the ability to remove a fused or radiants light mid-battle! please share thoughts on this

Does anyone still want a Moash redemption arc?
Shob the Voidbringer replied to Elsecaller_17.5's topic in Stormlight Archive
i'm really bad at hating characters, and while there are some that i do hate, i find it har d to hate moash. regardless, it would be interesting if moash were going to die, and kaladin could save him, but swears his 5th ideal that some do not deserve to be protected. but again, i don't like this the most. -
i'm sad, because when a charecter dies i feel sad, but i don't cry so i feel guilty. back to the thread tho, tefts death was heartbreaking. curse you moash, you who sold your emotions to odium.

what if todium spent the time getting nightblood, and then chooses a champion, gives the champion the shard of odium, and then uses nightblood to shatter the shard and collect most or all of the pieces, so that he has all or almost all of the power of the shard, but all oaths are dropped.

in the Wok prologue, gavilar tells szeth to tell thaidikar he's too late, before realizing that the parshendi sent szeth. a big question i have is, what would thaidakar be too late for.

[Theory] Kaladin as potential vessel for Odium
Shob the Voidbringer replied to Frustration's topic in Stormlight Archive
it's possible that the reason kaladin didn't fall during the invasion could be because he hasn't used surges in a long while. odium mentions that kaladin is even more dangerous now when he learns that he is inactive also, wouldn't kaladin name his spear and his knife, which are both syl? -
Is Tien talking about color, or Color? Theory time
Shob the Voidbringer replied to Honorspring's topic in Cosmere Discussion
my theory on nightbloods color is that when nightblood was given a command, due to it's sentience it now was a intent, and so it transformed the breaths into ruins investure. so i don't think that a shard has to directly tamper with investure to provide that color, but if something using that investure has that intent of something directly relating to the shard, then it will automatically adopt those colors and change the investure -
so, when shards are shattered, they leave behind a cognitive shadow, and we don't know what happened to Adonalsium's, and finally, i remember a WoB saying that there was a reason for the 17th shard organization being called that, so my theory is that Adonalsium's cognitive shadow merged with frost, the leader of the 17th shard. alternatively, Adonalsium's cognitive shadow is secretly leading the 17th shard Thoughts?
