Chaotic Light: A CBST-Verse Adventure

Vora cautiously stepped out into the sunlight, glancing around. There didn't seem to be any immediate danger, so she continued moving forward... and the world suddenly twisted around her, fading out to a featureless void. After what felt like an eternity, sensation suddenly returned to her as she appeared several feet in the air in an even more unfamiliar place. She tried to break her fall, but her limbs felt sluggish, and she felt her nose crack painfully as she impacted the ground. Crawling to a crouched position, she wiped blood from her face as her injuries began rapidly healing and glanced warily out at the unfamiliar faces nearby. "Pardon, but would one of ya mind tellin' me where in the name of anythin' holy this is?"
-
"Do you think I had Ji carry me for the fun of it? That wouldn't be an unreasonable assumption, but it's much easier to get an hour or two of sleep in when you don't have to move much."
-
Raviid slowly followed after Elya, his condition gradually improving with each step he took. By the time he reached the room, he looked nearly back to normal. Stepping in as Lyanor spoke, he responded."I'll keep an eye out while you both rest. I'm in no shape for anything drastic at the moment, but I can at least let your sleep go by a little faster."
-
"I'll be fine. I recover quickly." Raviid's condition had improved considerably in the past few minutes, though his skin was still a much paler shade than before.

Sketches on the Bus, Because Syn Gets Bored Easily
Fallapede replied to Mystic Syn's topic in Creator's Corner
You very much should be -
Raviid had stayed quiet and relatively still for the past several minutes, but now he stirred suddenly. "Have you considered that you might accomplish more with less... traumatic methods?", he asked, dusting himself off and slipping out of Ji's arms.
-
"Complain all you like the next time someone makes you look like a sponge."
-
"Let's not find out, okay?"
-
"You try doing better," Raviid muttered groggily.
-
"Of course." Verim breathed in deeply, then touched Lyanor's forehead with one finger, sending a massive burst of his power through her. Immediately, his skin began to grow pale and he nearly collapsed, barely managing to hold himself up on his hands and knees.
-
"Stab and bullet wounds, and a very high fever. I've treated them the best I can with mundane methods, given them something to bite down on, and restrained them if possible. Is that sufficient information? We're a little short on time here, ironically."
-
"A half dozen times or so. I haven't had anyone die on me yet, and I don't plan on starting now."
-
"How would you ever have guessed? It's why I prefer to avoid people getting shot in the first place."
-
"I'm going to put her body through about three months of recuperation in the span of a few minutes. And hopefully not pass out in the process."
-
"I would if she were in better shape, but I don't like the look of her wounds. It's much harder for me to do, and I'm going to need all the energy I can spare once you've got the bullets out." "Oh, I will. It's just not going to be pleasant. Ji, could you find something for her to bite down on?"
-
"Imagine every injury you've ever had in your life happening to you simultaneously. This will hurt several times more than that."
-
Raviid moved over near Lyanor, taking a critical eye to her injuries. "I may be able to heal you somewhat, with your permission, though I doubt you'll appreciate it."
-
"What, you don't think leaving six of their guards hogtied and another cuffed inside a locked room is impact enough?" Raviid replied as he followed. "I do agree with your point about the decor, though. There aren't even any ceiling fixtures worth taking."
-
"Not quite." Raviid released his Foretelling on the guards outside, then slowed the man and the bomb. Pulling a set of tools from his coat, he began carefully disassembling the explosive. After a moment of work, he set it to the side and attached a sticky note with "YOU'RE WELCOME" hastily scrawled on it to the man's forehead. Taking a second to glance around the room, he grabbed a few high-spec toys off the nearest shelves and exited the room, shutting the door behind him. "Much to my chagrin as it is to say it, you're right. That took longer than it should have. We really should be going."
-
"I don't want any more death. Call me selfish, but it's a preference of mine." Raviid swiped the keycard, opening the door, and stepped inside to deal with the cuffed man.
-
"I think I've gotten it out of my system, actually. Won't be but a moment." Raviid took a few steps back and flashed the keycard he'd lifted off of Ji. "Please don't make an altercation out of this."
