  1. Raviid calmly pulled out a cigarette and lit it before slouching down against a wall. "Ah, a potent reminder of my younger days."
  2. Even as she began to fade from reality, Night's Blossom could feel the poison coursing through her. It would do no good to travel with it, so with a flicker of willpower, she ejected it from her half-there body. No doubt a proper Silence Artist could have managed it effortlessly, but the paradoxical nature of what she was trying to accomplish threatened to break her apart before she finished. After what felt like an eternity, she completed the erasure, floating in endless nothingness, letting her unconscious guide her.
  3. Night's Blossom made her way to the pits, keeping herself upright mainly through sheer stubbornness. She slipped into the middle of a group of other slaves, trying to keep herself out of anyone's attention as she began to work. Once she was reasonably certain no one was paying attention to her, she exhaled deeply, expelling conscious thought as she tried to erase her presence from the world.
  4. "None for me, thank you," Raviid said. "I ate last week." He turned to look at the rest of the room. "Does this menagerie of asylum escapees have any particular plan going forward?"
  5. "Oh. I'll see you around then. It was nice meeting you!"
  6. "That's a nice name. Do you mind if I walk with you?"
  7. "I suppose it's not really a gift so much as a reminder to be careful with your toys," Raviid conceded, drawing something from his coat. "You really should be careful about dropping these. Horrible little devices, really. In my day we had much more civilized ways of being barbaric."
  8. "You had best be polite, youngling," Raviid said, grinning wickedly. "I only give presents to good little children."
  9. "Can't speak for anyone named Arekon, but you're safe enough, I suppose," Raviid replied quietly. "I, at least, have no particular intent to harm you."
  10. "Certainly. Sweet dreams." Raviid put his notebook away, glancing around the room. "Make quiet now, you hear? Don't make me get up for you youngsters."
  11. "I hope you'll forgive me if I don't find you terribly intimidating in your current position. Besides, how would you ever cope without my charming company?" Raviid grinned and gave Ji a mock salute. "Rest well and heal better."
  12. "Where are you going? Is everything alright? Is there anything I can help you with? I'm Theona, by the way. What's your name?" Theona scrambled to pick up the fliers, chattering at high speed as she did.
  13. "Have you folks tried not getting shot? I find it very helpful for maintaining one's health," Raviid said, looking up from his notebook.
  14. Theona stumbled as she turned a corner and ran into Adily headfirst, dropping her fliers as she did so. "Oh- sorry! Are you all right?"
  15. "Great! Sorry for the trouble!" Theona gave a quick wave, then lowered herself down the opposite side of the building.
  16. "Thank you! I might take you up on that!" Theona hopped up onto a large box propped against the side of a building, then scrambled her way up onto the roof. "Are you still chasing me or can I keep putting these up?'
  17. "It says that I'm offering to help anyone who needs it if they'll give me food and somewhere to stay. I'm sorry about the wall, by the way!"
  18. "Oh. Good, then. I'll just settle it with them later." Theona nodded politely and began running away from the guard at a brisk clip.
  19. A number of responses flashed through Theona's head before she eventually blurted, "Do you have a permit to stop me?"
