    Night's Blossom breathed in deeply, keeping the pressure on as she looked around desperately. Is this some kind of cruel trick? Would he really do this to try and force me back? She thought carefully for a second, and realized she couldn't entirely put it past Darius to do exactly this. Still, she couldn't believe Emily was complicit, and saving her mattered more than anything. More than her own freedom, if it came down to it. With a shuddering sigh, she began constructing a beacon. @xinoehp512

    Even as she focused everything she had on trying to save her sister, a part of Night's Blossom couldn't help but take note of everything happening around her, filing it away for when she was less panicked. Night's Blossom could feel the wrongness of the wound festering, so she reached on power she barely understood, trying to remove it from Emily.

    Night's Blossom froze, staring at Emily's fallen form. After an agonizingly long time, she took a step towards her sister, then ran towards her, crouching down to examine her wound.

    "I'd love to, but you'd probably get more use out of me if I live a little longer than this."

    "Tell your father that I wish him well, Em." Night's Blossom unwove light and sound around her body, rendering herself imperceptible. She spoke anyways, knowing Emily would be able to hear. "You've been the best sister that I could ask for, and I love you into eternity and past it." Her voice shook as she spoke. "Goodbye."

    "Do you genuinely believe that?"

    Night's Blossom slammed her fist into the cavern wall, inadvertently reducing a large chunk of the stone to dust. "What do you want from me?"

    "Then I'll die."

    "A good thing the only things I'm good at are running and hiding, then," Night's Blossom said with a small smile.

    "I have no intention of dying, or of staying here. Please, do me this last favor."

    "I won't ask you to come with me, but please... tell them I died in the travel. I probably should have, anyways."

    "I wish you wouldn't taunt me, sister."

    "Relatively speaking. I'll be fine once we can get somewhere more breathable."

    "Then what will you do, Em?"

    "Please don't follow me again. It will only hurt both of us."

    "I knew this would happen," Night's Blossom whispered. "It's why I couldn't bring myself to tell you."

    "Time is strange. I don't have the answers, but if nothing else I want you to understand that I would rather die than go back, Em."

    "I'll keep running forever, if necessary, rather than go back."

    "I'm always serious. It was just that no one ever believed me."
