  1. This is gonna be a long rant.... EVERYTHING KALADIN! From beginning to end, every darn part which featured Kaladin was phenomenal. So well written, so engaging that I was sitting of edge of my seat, screaming and sputtering nonsense about what would happen next! Part 1, him being badass, fighting Pursuer for first time and then Leshwi, getting powers supressed but still managed to kill 4 singers along with freaking Pursuer within seconds--talk about skills now! Then Moash came and it was heart-breaking. I actually froze when Kaladin did...I wanted to move, I wanted him to move but I KNEW we could not. We just couldn't. And then seeing Teft, Lopen and Skar talking to their Highmarshal, making sure he's alright was touching. And then he became surgeon and all I imagined him as wearing apron with wide-broad shoulders and stormy blue eyes, looking fiercely handsome as storms was to die for. Then Kaladin planning to bring a medical revolution, making path to become Roshar's first therapist...they need that difference, and he was being that difference-- Brandon did extraordinary out of extraordinary. All those interactions between Adolin and Kaladin, the former making sure the other isn't alone...that is the ultimate friendship, the best Sanderson has ever written. I'm hoping they get to have such interactions again in book 5. And then, whatever came next kept me tittering on edge. When Radiants fell and Kaladin didn't, I understood his fears of facing failure and witnessing others succumbing while he remained standing...watching and reeling. The whole chase in dark hallways, running from Pursuer and I was like Don't GET CAUGHT! RUN! Then Kal and Syl talking to each other, sharing parts of lingering darkness in their souls...promising each other to be their lights made my heart melt. Syl is the ONLY one I could accept for Kaladin. They have something so deep, so unfathomable that only death shall do them apart. Then Kaladin being all badass again without half of his powers, shooting around DIE HARD and always coming right in time to foil plans of Reboniel, escaping--then interacting with Dalinar as Rider. Then came The Dog and The Dragon. I was just...damn...uncontrollable tears began leaking out listening to this story. I was scared and confused and petrified when Odium kept torturing Kaladin in freaking Braize, and then Wit came and he's like...yeah, things are going to be worse after this but by the end of it...you'll be warm again Kaladin, you will have the light you need in this night... Part 5...it was an avalanche I expected but was flabbergasted each page. The whole sequence of Kaladin walking, headstrong, eyes confronting darkest storms-- being HOPE for his people, being SHIELD that they needed, being the POWER and STRENGTH they flared within and then locking gazes with Pursuer, and then defeating him--the glorysprens and people revering him with chants as Stormblessed...I was shaking, trembling...and then Teft...I wasn't crying then. I was too stunned to even turn the page. I was too stunned to even move and pick what Kal does next. I was just frozen in time just like Kal, kneeling beside Teft body, kneeling beside the man who has always believed him from beginning--who had loved him like his own son--was now...gone, never to smile and laugh again... What came next was a scene that would haunt in my nightmares. Kaladin going all berserker and then brutally murdering Pursuer--ripping his freaking head out then proceeding to kill two more Fused without even blinking--that fear, that expression raised hair on back of my neck. And then he jumped. I'm not strong enough. Then whole scene with Tien was...alright, I was horribly crying by this time. Emotions were running so high, so bad...you're good enough, Kal for me. You're strong enough for me. You are here with me...it doesn't matter how painful it becomes, the enemy cannot have our moments. He cannot have our light, our Connection. He cannot take what we make, we cherish....and then Kaladin rose, in the black storm, in black winds-- a lance of light as he spoke 4th Ideal holding Syl's hand...it couldn't have been better. It couldn't have been so cinematic, so ground-breaking when thousands upon thousands of Windspren chose to Connect with him, forming a tunnel of Radiance light and HOLDING BACK A FREAKING HIGHSTORM! And then they slammed into him--finally rewarding him a living Shardplate to be reborn as Kaladin Stormblessed, the Knight Radiant! Just wow! Plus, the way he used his Shardplate to protect others...clever, crafty and wonderful. And then, he finally bid goodbye to Teft, embracing his statue then smiling to fulfil what his old friend would've wanted. To start healing himself. Can't wait for next book and his adventures! Maya and Adolin I don't think this scene needs any description because "WE CHOSE" had me trembling, cursing tenth name of Almighty at the ferocity of those words! "YOU CANNOT HAVE MY SACRIFICE!" Yes Maya, yes! Show them girl, show them all that you are not dead. Show them all that it was your choice, not theirs. Show them that you sacrificed to save Roshar! And Adolin, dear, you amazing man! Lending support to his spren, teaching her kata, teaching her to fighting side by side! Reboniel A show stealer she was. Killing her daughter so that she could be free, protecting Navani from Vyre even though she was nearly gone... Her last interaction with Navani...together singing Rhythm of War was...damn, it got me. Leshwi "Ask your spren..." she whispered, attuning to joy, "Ask your spren does she know a honorspren Riah? She was my friend...they have returned! They have forgiven us!" This moment when this creature of thousand years became overwhelmed and fell on her knees, remembering a friend who was long gone...Sanderson, why do you keep stabbing us! Shallan I'm your veil, Shallan...you made me so that I can protect you, and now it's time for me to go so that you can protect yourself. You are strong enough. You can do this. A satisfying acceptance to her arc. Teft Aw, Teft...when I reel back to TWoK and recall how he supported Kaladin throughout his journey as a Knight Radiant, then waited right at mouth of chasms for him to come back...struggled with addiction but swore his Ideal...then stayed back in RoW with Kaladin so that both of them can lean on each other, whispering about their trauma....their battle shock. And then...his interactions with Phendorana are so funny-- both of them carved out of same wood. He shifted as Phendorana poked him. He looked over and caught her grinning as well. “Fine,” he muttered. “You were storming right. You have always been right.” Teft was worth saving. And when they were going to save radiants, yes Teft, you did good with Kaladin. Maybe your life wasn't the way it is but you did with Kaladin for which he loves you so, so much...and your spren does too. Yes, she is one of the best thing that happened to you. And then...Vyre came and everything shattered. But like I said, it made me cry...I was heaving from sobs but in end I knew it wasn't Moash who won because just like Tien said, the enemy cannot ever have what we do. It cannot have our moments, the feeling of being loved and feeling of loving someone more than your life. And Teft died knowing that in world, there are people who love him, people who will never, ever forget the legend he lived. The better man be became. Confident, and somehow still full of hope.... Rlain Keep fighting, a voice said in his head. Salvation will be, Rlain, listener. Bridger of Minds. I have been sent to you by my mother, at the request of Renarin, Son of Thorns. I have watched you and seen your worthiness. Speak the Words, and do not despair. AHHHHHH! RLAIN AND RENARIN ARE GOING TO BE SO AWESOME TRUTHWATCHER DUO! Dabbid Life before death Yes! Yes! And Finally Navani "Journey before Destination, you bastard!" In your face!
  2. I understand you. But for me, Rhythm of War is perhaps one of best book of Stormlight Archive series. I know our opinions are gonna be poles apart but you are allowed to dislike this book and others would be finding their ventures here. Yes, I can take you on Oathbringer being a let down. Part 5 was amazing but there were a lot of chapters which could've been easily cut short especially Shallan's part in Kholinar which just goes on repeating for several turns of pages ending with half her heart crying for making a bigger mess than expected. But at the same time I found interesting topics during same plot like Kaladin (He is my favorite character) going and exploring city wall and then meeting freaking Azure, battling with Fused. So those parts evenly balance each other. We cannot expect everyone to be dashing action heroes like Kaladin. My issue in Oathbringer again was a personal opinion: Kaladin didn't get abundant screen time. I don't know why this writing move was approved because after RoW, we can clearly get the picture who has the maximum time in whole SA series. Getting not enough of Kal bugged me and seeing him from Bridge Four's perspective was...okay. It wasn't that good but it was okay. My other issue with Sanderson's novels are his romantic arcs. I would speak out truthfully. His romances suck. They really do because I'm a writer in digital platform and I don't believe that romances are not important for any book. I've seen others scribing off romances as like 'yeah, meh, it was there, they fell in love despite having other intentions, who's gonna focus on that when we have bigger stakes in picture like world's ending!' Same deal with Sanderson. I don't see how his romances just work out without have a structured direction. Adolin and Shallan are perhaps the worst pair he has ever written which makes me like you said 'cringe'. Yeah. They make me cringe. And it very much evolved into a super-cringe in this book. No, I don't care about walking under starspren to kick your real personality out. I have no problem with Shallan's personas even because for me they were the strongest points for her. It's her execution of rejecting her problems rather than facing or accepting them makes me just wanna slap her out. I'm like...you are dealing with it for years now girl-- you were chosen because you have a broken soul and nobody is asking you to fix it. You need to face them at least, be strong and confident for yourself-- take strength from your personalities, divorce your weaknesses using their strengths but her plot just dragged on and on endlessly without any improvement until BAM! During last Shallan chapters from part 4, Veil vanished. It was emotional for me, I loved it. I cried for it...but it came rather as an forced improvement for her acceptance. My next issue with Shallan is obvious: Testament. I would say, I have mixed feelings towards this plot twist. I mean there were little instances of foreshadowings but if Brandon actually wanted us to be surprised then we were surprised but that surprise was not good kind of surprise which a character like Testament deserves. It birthed in the book itself and concluded in the book with hanging threads, confusions regarding Truths spoken, many misconnections and continuity errors...its like there has been a vindiction to have Shallan a special character and it clearly failed. I love the Shallan who she was in TWoK and WoR but she just went downhill for me after. I just ask Brandon to push Shallan-Adolin arc back in book 5, like keep them like Dalinar-Jasnah-Renarin part in RoW because they had enough, I don't need more of cringe romance. I also didn't like Kholins becoming all Radiants. Because wait, at this point every Kholin is a Radiant or was on path of being Radiant or is a pseudoradiant. Gaviliar was on path of becoming Bondsmith, Dalinar is Bondsmith, Jasnah became Elsecaller, Elhokar nearly became Lightweaver, Renarin is Truthwatcher, Adolin is a special case of pseudoradiancy and now Navani...a freaking Bondsmith? The interactions between her and Sibling was good. I liked their banter, their polarized opinions against each other and then finally being forced into bonding because hey Towers' ending, you aren't going to get Kaladin everytime swooping in to save everyone. You gotta do something too...and BAM! Let's bond! Personally, I have hated past Navani a lot. For me she was really a misguided opportunist who chose gold and safety rather than passion and adventure. She was also a hypocrite and her initial behavior towards Kaladin makes my blood boil. Even more were her treatments towards Evi--holy heck, I hate the way she treated Evi all along who was perhaps the most beautiful and gentlest soul in SA, and now she goes and seduces Dalinar because, her husband is dead, his wife is dead so lemme just go and discover my passion. But I would accept their romance was handled well. In fact, except Vivenna and Vasher's interaction towards a potential future romance, my favorite all time Sanderson pair are actually Dalinar and Navani. And in this book, Navani was a pleasant surprise for me. She improved in my standards. She's still a bit irritating but at least she became my third favorite female character after Syl and Jasnah. Also since I'm a science student, I loved, absolutely loved fabrial mechanics and light-frequency wave functional interaction. But at the same time, this made me deduce that a lot of things just dragged on. A lot of those science stuff was totally irrelevant to actual direction. It was like planting pea seeds and thinking about coconut plant. That wasn't a smart thing to do, Brandon. People know physics, you don't have to rewrite textbook paragraphs to propagate your pages, you could've just compiled them in fewer pages and it would've been still understandable. Jasnah-Wit relationship is unfavorable for me as well. I don't see them working out in future. Except for that, everything else in the book was amazing. I loved Kaladin and this was almost his book again. We had focus on Navani and Venli of course but I think Kaladin's part was the one everyone would just cry and struggle and bawl their eyes out yet at the same time soar in air like Stormblessed does, the force of storms. He was so beautifully written and everytime I recall the 4th Ideal, I just cry. Yeah, Sanderson, you did what I wanted. And now I just wish he keeps doing these little surprises for Kaladin in next book and doesn't backtrack Kaladin like he did in Oathbringer. I'm sure he won't do it. Our boy deserves to be happy after everything he has been through. Reboniel stole the show. She was simply brilliant. Leshwi, another gem of story whom I adored. She is honorable, perhaps has some connection to Honorspren and does not serves Odium. Lezian was a good single story villian as well because as people say, yeah, he's weak and all...they need to understand that his presence was needed for Kaladin to realise that this guy is gonna come again and again and again just like Kal's depression, and just like he defeats him always, Kal NEEDS to defeat his problems as well. Someone in thread mentioned this beautiful connection and its worth mentioning again. Lezian served his purpose, well done Brandon. I'm skeptical about this character El cause he surely knows hemalurgy and is potentially Odium's champion. Moash, you die, I have a whole hate thread made for him, feel free to pour your haaatred out. I'm gonna stop here because I wanted to write about stuff that disappointed me and that was it. Overall, those disappointments were evenly overshadowed by other characters, plots and their brilliant development and themes which made RoW my second favorite book in series as of now.
  3. Ah, I must have mis-phrased my words. This is clearly hemalurgic incorporation.
  4. Remember the longer you unleash Nightblood, it'd start to devour your investiture and then start gobbling your soul. And after we saw its use against Odium, using it again would be rather...convenient, don't you think? I bet it will be El because he's mysterious, no titles and bears hemalurgic spikes. We don't know anything about him and his intents might not be even constricted to Roshar. He clearly would be scheming to become far-fetching- a perfect contendant for Todium. I can verily see Nale as Odium's champion. Szeth would've difficulty facing him as it was already seen. Plus I really want this guy dead cuz I'm like...can you just go? The Darkolin theory is also intriguing but as mentioned, his arc has been set with Shallan to find BAM and release her. He might join in climatic battle but most of the parts of his arc would be written just like Dalinar-Jasnah part in RoW.
  5. I agree with you. My sentiments are starkly similar. Shallan was a fresh and interesting character, giving us a glimpse of world in TWoK- away from war and conflicts. I was even curious to know her past and despite her bad attempts are making jokes and pun, she was someone you can relate yourself. I liked her determination, her constant struggle towards betraying Jasnah and in end, accepting her mistakes and making promises to atone for it. In WoR, I had 'normal' affliction towards her. The flashbacks were awesome, simply superb. First part was amazing, startlingly brave of her but the moment she met Kaladin...uh, things soured for me the way she behaved. I mean how stupid can you be? You were ward of Jasnah Kholin and clearly aware of family/army crests. Couldn't you see Captain knots on his shoulders or understand he's a freaking Kholin guard who could've saved you from all Tyn drama? But no, her first thoughts was--- ooooh, a darkeyes, let me just go and torment his ranking because I'm superior! Letmme get his boots despite knowing that he's on guard patrol which NEEDS protection! But now, I'll just mope a line for his poor condition now and get done with it. I hated this interaction. But then Tyn scene happened for a reason and it was great. And the next banter between her and Kaladin was amazing, witty and somewhat sweetened back her arc. But then came Adolin...my dear, you just met him and the first thought comes into your mind his 'our children will have strangest hair colour'. Honestly, I would've loved if Shallan hadn't come between Kaladin and Adolin because clearly THEY are better without HER! In Oathbringer, she annoyed me. She annoyed me so, so so freaking much that I would've become Re-Shephir and send my Midnight Essences to wreck her little bedless room into pieces and bond Pattern for myself because he clearly deserves someone better who would just go and do her damn job, not parry between being the RADIANT and warding Jasnah's advice and dally between Kaladin and Adolin for no freaking reason. In RoW....truthfully, I skipped her parts in part 1. I had heard audiobook and focused on that Mraize chapter. Except that, everything she did was blatantly stupid and felt too conveniently forced. Pretty sure the Testament case spike in Brandon's mind while he was writing RoW because he gave no clear indication about such happenance. The whole Shadesmar plot was readable because of Maya, Adolin and Pattern and Kelek in end obviously. Compare that to Kaladin-Navani arc, I mean did you even get a moment to catch your breath? Their stories were THAT GREAT! Now that is a story, not making Formless and making foes without knowing their extends. I actually wish she gets taken off by an axe or gets her head chopped by GBs for her decision so that Adolin can at least be free of this being. Honestly, they shouldn't have married in first place. Adolin is waay better without her. Shallan is waay better without any plot, humming to herself to death.
  6. AH! He is not going to die! I'm sure of it! I have already imagined him of worldhopping to different worlds with Syl, meeting and punching Kelsier and lecturing Bavadin for her devious deal with Odium. Besides WoB gave a huge clue that Kaladin could potentially become spare-faring in future. Besides, why would Wit move around him so much and give him a freaking Trailman' Flute twice! *Screaming Worldsinger* Kiss of Wit- next stage of Jasnah-Hoid relationship. Knights of Waystone- Stormlight Archive/Kingkiller crossover. Kaladin swooping down to Kvothe to snap him out of his depression. Kiss of Windrunner- Kaladin finally gets his romance xD
  7. I think the moment of lucidity appeared when he opened a perpendicularity.
  8. That kid has been introduced since Part 2:
  9. Don't worry! The whole book is full of so many- Yeah, Kaladin! Show them! Kaladin, stretch forth thy hand! No KALADIN! WAKE UP! GET UP KALADIN! That's my Kaladin! Oh, my poor Kaladin! Damn, how dare they do this to Kaladin! A single Kaladin is best for Kaladin. Aw, Kaladin... YES!YES! That's our Stormblessed! Don't you dare to mess with the storm! ....and many such moments. I can feel what you feel!
  10. I think Kelek's main ambition after everything is to free himself from Rosharan system. Cognitive Shadows have some weird attachment (metaphorically speaking) to their respective systems. We can fairly assume that Sons of Honor are a brand new organization like Diagram compared to GBs and Skybreakers. What's more interesting is...heralds are having influence in forming these organizations save for GBs. Nale led the Skybreakers after recreance and reclaimed his honorblade. Diagram was formed because Batter aka Dova warned Taravangian of upcoming Desolations. Kelek is/maybe founder/leader of Sons of Honor It's fair to assume that while Nale's goals remain stuck in his 'justified' way to prevent Desolations, we aren't clear about Battar's ambition. Why would she go and speak to Taravangian about Desolations after Gavilar's death? We haven't been given a clue about that except whispery mentions of her presence. Coming back to Kelek. Yes, there's a lot of mystery surrounding this guy but it's possible to assume that he's directly/indirectly responsible for Kaladin's enslavement. I have seen Amaram doing Restaras' bidding all along, including writing him letter. He also happens to be aware about tones and their influence to form anti-lights (remember Shallan seeing collection of flutes in Amaram's room), so that anti-voidlight sphere Gavilar gave to Szeth was perhaps discovered in such methods. But if we remember, Everstorm was long before brewing in Shadesmar for centuries. There's inconsistency and the theory that Taln didn't break but Sons of Honor screwed up big time could be accepted. When Kaladin killed Helaran, I believe Kelek was already at Honorspren's stronghold. It could be possible that he ordered Amaram to have that Shardblade siezed and kill the man as a favor to Honorspren who have been already bridled for Syl's decision to join him. Maybe it was the reason they got him accepted in their home? A possibility. Also during when Amaram was writing his letter, he was thinking about Kaladin with anger. Clearly whatever happened to Kaladin was a foil in his plans. But that still leaves a lot of questions behind! If Nale wanted to prevent Desolations and SoH wanted to bring them back, why would Nale and Kelek work together with Gaviliar? Maybe their intent was to use anti-voidlight to kill Odium and make themselves free of Rosharan system. But would it actually free them? They seem to be interested in 'Investiture' because Hoid had told them it would cure...I think they were looking for Breaths in this case and freeing themselves from Roshar would take them to Nalthis. Remember one of them mentioning that 'Ash is getting worse'. Kelek believes their madness is related to imprisonment of BAM. I think her influence was expansive enough that it ripped a Connection directly from Spiritual Realm. Is Kelek still leading SoH now that their goal has been fulfilled? Would it be possible to also assume that Restaras' wanted to bring back Desolation for two main purpose: To kill Odium and free BAM so that he could free himself from system?

    Questioner

Would Dalinar or Kaladin like Kelsier?

    Brandon Sanderson

You know, I think they both would have their issues with Kelsier.

    Questioner

'Cause he's more of a rogue.

    Brandon Sanderson

It would really depend on what situation they were in. But I think Dalinar would not approve of his methods. And I think Kaladin would empathize with him, but at the end would not approve either. To Kaladin he would probably represent the things that Kaladin kind of wishes he would do, but is too moral to do. And that would be a dangerous thing for Kaladin.

  12. I think we are going to see them 'soon'.
  13. I think you are unclear. Shallan killed her mother with her Shardblade- Testamentblade. And Lin Davar is her father's name, not Tin whom she killed by first poisoning and then strangling him to death with her necklace. She hadn't had bonded to Pattern at that time.
  14. *Fused Party* *Urithiru Party* And my favorite!
  15. So...that how Sons of Honor (Gavilar) managed to get anti-voidlight! They already knew about tones of Roshar and frequency-energy tranfection.
  16. The Shard will Survive.
  17. The Fused are being awakened with each Everstorm in groups. They clearly are more powerful than Regals and have more Connection to Odium and searching for willing host bodies is another factor. Leshwi is considered low but her Passion is rather very esteemed to be included in their meetings. Reboniel mentions that Leshwi's intent has always remained true to her Passion which Fused encourage clearly which is why she's allowed. People like Pursuer are like those made raving bulls having no point to be a part of meetings since they are...well, not right in mind anymore. I think a considerable number of Fused come back deranged. You can tell now.
  18. Fascinating. I can see that happening in book 5 for sure and several WoBs have stated that: Shards are power of Adonalsium i.e Powers of creation. They are same energy which a particular universe is built on and if they are energy, then we know it cannot be ever destroyed...only transferred. Shards, if splintered, cannot be actually destroyed. WoBs can confirm it. We know that Hoid's plan are to assemble something together but that's not Adonalsium probably since scholars of cosmere argued it would be dangerous, the intent began as a useless purpose. Whatever Hoid's plan are....let's keep them aside. We know that destroyed Shards can be reforged or combined together to form themselves again or a brand new dishard like Harmony. In Mistborn Era 1, we saw destruction of Ruin and Preservation but they their 'essence' was combined to form Harmony. It means Shards might get splintered but the energy within cannot be destroyed every. The followed letters from RoW confirm it which I had mentioned in a separate threat. Honor is not dead. His vessel is destroyed- his holding confinement as a Shard is gone but his essence, his energy is still influential in Rosharan system. Tanavast, the vessel is dead but Honor isn't hence he can be reforged. We all are directing our eyes at Dalinar to ascend and take this Shard but I don't believe that'd be the case. He might fail and someone has to take its place...someone who's bonded to an ancient, secretive and highly coveted Honorspren and is perhaps the most honorable man alive in Roshar currently.
  19. Knights of Wind would be a nice title as well, giving a nod to Kaladin and Szeth's mission to Shinovar as well as Skybreakers/Windrunners.
  20. Wait.........that brings me to.... Shinovar folks are like super Shone Shamans, right? They worship stones more than anything. It's holy for them. Guess who had been trapped in a gemstone for over thousands of years... Ba-Ado-Mishram BAM!
  21. The Midnight Mother told her. That Unmade who infected me for so many years, the one your Radiants frightened away? I remained hidden from her all that time, never fighting back, and so she thinks I died. I assumed she's still in the mountains. Thanks for clearing.
  22. At this point we can assume any one/two/three of Unmades are in Shinovar or maybe their whole horde is baking voidcookies with Stonemen there. The Ones who aren't possibly in Shinovar: Ba-Ado-Mishram: Judging by our given directions, she'll be involved in Shallan-Adolin plot. Their journey would be discovering her, perhaps taking help from Sja-Anat. Could it be possible that she's imprisoned in some gemstone reserve we don't know yet. See below. Sja-Anat: Most probably back in Kholinar or still lingering around Reranin in Emul or finally going to meet her cousin in Urithiru. Re-Shephir: Trapped in Urithiru Nergaoul: Thankfully, indisposed in bottom of ocean...unless Odium decided to give Singers a swimming lesson to retrieve it. Although throwing this Unmade randomly in ocean was not a clever work. Moelach: Making raucous in Horneater peaks as far as I know. We could possibly see Rock knocking heads with it soon in his novella. So....who could be lurking in Shinovar? These: Ashertmarn: Could be a contingency plan to capture Shinovar's oathgate by Odium after he left Alethkar. On contrary, he could still be in Alethkar but possibility in Shinovar exists. Yelig-nar: A possibly way for Shins to make up for their lost honorblades and surges. Surprises: BAM could be in Shinovar. Ishar might be knowing what Melishi did with her and must be working to restore the damage. Could possibly explain his bizarre spren experiments. Moelach could be in Shinovar since we had a time skip of a year. Could've moved but I see no purpose there. Rock's plot would be better. The last Unmades: Dai-Gonarthis Could be lurking around Aimia and responsible for that storm system? Nobody knows much about it. Chemoarish In Bavlands I guess.
  23. Melishi is not Ishar. The Sibling was Melishi's bonded spren and he imprisoned BAM in presence of Heralds (at least Kelek and Nale we know off). Ishar could be present. Ishar became Bondsmith unchained a couple of years after Szeth was declared Truthless and exiled from Shinovar because we know Herald Isi's Honorblade's former bearer was Szeth's father and Ishar said that he had taken it from him and given him a much needed death. The events are very recent
  24. It's too early to speculate and Brandon having given us no hints, it gonna be airworks down the lane. I'll just note down what I deem possible plots for our Moash/Vyre here. Before I begin, I have one sentiment for him. #@$% Moash. Yeah, let's go. Now that El and Nine have knowledge about Anti-Stormlight/Voidlight, they will want to manufacture it in large numbers. Considering Reboniel made Anti-Stormlight like in a blink, within first two days Fused faction will have an amount which could be threatening to at least a small contingent of Radiants. They can't move towards Thaylenah so we can except Todium to order for building reserves around Alethkar and Herdaz since they are on bet. A possibility of strike group moving towards Emul could be chancy but it would be a foolish move. Vyre could possibly be leading this backup anti-stormlight weaponry regiment in Alethkar/Herdaz. Vyre could someone heal his blindness using hybrid Lifelight-Voidlight. Todium could send him to intercept Kaladin and Szeth on their path to Shinovar. We might except him to drop out of thin air and start making foils in our heroes' plan. Additionally, we could see him trying to throw Kaladin over edge again but it will be futile. We can except a clash between them but not his death. On other hand, just like deaths of Highprince Thalandal, Highprincess Ialai and Brightlord Roshar, Kaladin/Szeth could possibly kill Moash in first part itself- Brandon's way of dropping a surprise, mildly unsatisfying plot. He will be Todium's Champion and fight against Dalinar. I can see Dalinar almost choosing Navani as his champion but perhaps won't happen. He will be Todum's Chamption and Dalinar will enlist Kaladin to be his champion. A fight between them will decide the fate. Or else I can see him doing most of El's bidding along with Heavenly Ones and keep doing bombing dives around Radiant forces. He will kill El/Destroy Odium's Vessel and take the Shard for himself
  25. Yes, no matter how much it induces constricting feeling imagining that scene with Kaladin on his knees- his depression pressing down on him and watching lifeless eyes of a man who has believed, protected and healed him since beginning was a bittersweet but important aspect of Rhythm of War. These battles...they can't go on without terrible tragedies and sometimes, they tragedies break us and then join us again to keep fighting for those whom we lost. Yes, Kaladin felt himself breaking....but Teft was forgiven. He was close and Teft was forgiven...if anyone would head-on accept his impending death then that would be Teft because he knew, whatever his life had compelled him to do...he had won over it. In the end, Teft was the one who won- never Moash/Vyre. Teft accepted and Teft was loved. Like it was said...Teft was worth saving because he has saved the person who loved him like an older brother. And right there, Teft would be passing through Beyond and smiling to himself when Kaladin spoke his 4th Ideal. Beside Phendorana, he'd whisper, "I did good with that one, isn't it?" "I told you so." she'd grin and they would walk together, content and at peace.
