  1. People: A guy with the (stealable) power of RETRIBUTION creates a person with a much closer connection to RETRIBUTION than the original guy ever had. Meanwhile, the original tool used to kill Odium is growing in power and conscience. The math maths itself.
  2. El is Kelsier.
  3. That was Adolin being ruled by his passions foreshadowing him being Odium's champion. Maybe. Or something something Maia. But I do think it will be plot-relevant again.
  4. Anybody else think Adolin's new temper is due to a deepening bond with Maya? Also, I was promised an info dump with cultivation last week. Um.... Can we get.... bonus chapters this week up until that info dump?
  5. This isn't the real Hoid in that chapter, it's the Witfaker. Long live the Witfaker!! (I am pretending we haven't seen wit on Roshar at all but just an imposter. It's fun!) Oh and Stormfaker is real. Stormfather is also real but not really very nice. Oh and Shallon is really her mother. What happened was Shallon's mother, who was well advanced in Oaths to beyond even where Shallon is now, killed her daughter accidentally on purpose in unknown circumstances and then remade herself into her daughter because of course she would. Witfaker! Try it out it's fun!
  6. There is only one other person we have seen shapeshift like that and only one time. Vasher in Warbreaker. I therefore give you a brand new cherry flavored conspiracy. Move over Stormfaker, make room for: WITFAKER! Vasher is pretending to be Wit. Further proof is that scene where Wit gets the guy to punch him in order to knock out his teeth. Why not just transform? Bam. Witfaker.
  7. This was a book for me. Brandon must know a classic underachieving job hopper. It came close to convincing me to do stuff. I loved this book. I predict Book 3 will not be the same quality as 1 and 2 but then Secret Project 4 will blow us away with awesomeness. There is no way there can be four this good. No possible way.
  8. This would be the greatest theme park to ever exist. it would blow Harry Potter land out of the water. I could see a lot of uses for VR headsets, magnets and parachuting wind machine thingies. Booth game development alone could revolutionize the carnival industry. In fact, we could start putting together booth game and good ideas and do a Cosmere version of Ren Fest for realsies.
  9. I had no idea they were married. They are top of the field. I will listen to anything Michael Kramer reads. Him and Nick Podehl. Kate Redding is one of the few female narrators I can tolerate for sleep purposes.
  10. Thank you so much! This is an every night problem. Vlad Taltos you say! That one looks really promising. You saved my month! And Sullivan is bumped up in priority. I have had a lot of misses lately. You mentioned Patrick Rothfuss. I just discovered the joy of complaining about the non-existence of Doors of Stone on the Rothfuss reddit. Recommended. Thank you!
  11. I can't sleep without Audiobooks but am looking for something new after the second full Mistborn through TLM listen. Currently in my audible wishlist: Some Michael J Sullivan, Some Jemison, Some Rhett C Bruno, Some Brandon Mull and "Fairy Tales" and "Babel" along with some embarrassing litrpg stuff. Assume I have read all classic Sci-fi, most but not all classic fantasy, all Scalzi, All Greg Egan, all Brent Weeks, all James Islington (who by the way I half suspect IS Brandon Sanderson's alter ego), almost all Robert J Sawyer, All Ernest Kline, All Andrew Rowe ( I know but he's funny!), All Stross, All Sawyer, All Will Wight.... Someone help me!!! Please!!!!
  12. Rithmatist is one I can't wait to see a book 2 of. Then Alcatraz is freaking amazing fun. I was hesitant because it's a kids series. But totally worth it. It was one of my nephew's bedtime readings for a few years. They did the whole series.
  13. My money is on one of the next Gen kids on either Roshar (as of SA4 but probably not by end of SA5) or one of Wax's kids. It's a children's story/myth. And also probably not terribly accurate to what actually happened, which I am sure Brandon knows. Maybe some kid about to be exiled?
  14. "Some scholars say that when you become an immortal like the Sorceress or me, your soul gets replaced with something new. Like the fossilization process." (Chapter 61, pg. 661, Tress) When you combine that statement with Vasher's fossilization metaphor to Kaladin in Rhythm of War, it's gotta mean Hoid is saying he went through a similar process.
  15. Returned or Cognitive Shadow, Hoid died at some point. Then now he is... other than dead and not gone beyond. He had to be either alive or already other than dead at the Shattering. Confirmed. This raises a whole slew of questions.
