  1. Ikr? I'm still trying to figure out what kind of analysis is actually gonna work in this game. Then again, once an elim dies (which could happen via NK in this game, which is good) we can look at whether they've tried to defend anyone, and be more suspicious of those people from there. Once we find an elim Mistborn, we can look at everyone who's defended them, though what the Mistborn themself has done is totally useless 'cause they know nothing : P That's all I've got so far.
  2. Archer Illwei This is just... idek but like... I can't tell whether it's just an Illwei thing to dismiss everything I say without giving any reason why, or whether it leans more towards v!her or e!her... I know she's done it as both but my gut associates it with e!her more than v!her so here's a vote. Probably will change this eventually, since it's meta + gut and hence not reliable. Sorry, that's probably because I'm kinda frustrated with Illwei dismissing everything I say as irrational You yourself said you assumed I had reasoning that I was either withholding or hadn't had time to state. Votes generally equate suspicion, especially from me : P I would imagine Archer could make that leap just as easily as you. No, not because elims try to act like villagers, that's always true. I mean because in this game, the elims have far less TMI than normal, so their behavior in this game will be more similar to that of villagers. Also, it doesn't feel like village!Illwei in general--it feels like she did in QF51, specifically, where she spent C1 catastrophizing everything I said about her as either totally irrational or an elim trying to cast shade on her. Which normally I'd think was a very elim thing to do, but she turned out to be village so...
  3. I wasn't... trying... to convince you... I'm just stating a thought that's been in the back of my mind for a bit. Not even sure what makes you think that I'm elim with Mistborn!STINK? I randomly voted on him. To see what the reaction would be, from him as much as from everyone else. I then found Archer's reaction odd, like he was trying to deflect suspicion from STINK. Therefore, I am tinfoiling (and not very seriously) Archer/STINK e/e-Mistborn. This feels... exactly like QF51!Illwei actually XD but since the elims are gonna be acting pretty similar to villagers in this case, I'm gonna just say that's NAI. (also, now alternatively tinfoiling Illwei/Archer e/e-Mistborn, but that's just as hazy and obviously they can't both be true so eh)
  4. I... had a thought about this, kind of. As uncontestably the most active player in this game while I was alive, I am at least somewhat (probably more than somewhat) to blame for the threads being so long and hard to read through. Mostly because I have so much time that I can spend on this each day, and not much else to do in that time, but I get that it's not like that for a lot of people, and I was thinking about how I could help with... this? I mean, obviously I can try to post less, or at least more consciously (less fluffposting, putting more thoughts in the same post, trying to condense posts a bit by editing them before posting so that they're more concise). But I was also thinking... This isn't really a solution to the problem, exactly, but I was wondering if it would help people to keep up if I went through each cycle or turn after it's over (which yes, I have the time to do : P) and summarized all the important things that happened. Not commenting on them, just picking out and either quoting or summarizing (probably both, in separate spoiler boxes) everything that was serious discussion or voting or whatnot, and posted that at the start of the next turn? I guess I was wondering if that would help, to have a concise(ish) reference of what happened and not have to wade through pages and pages of text, not all of which is important?
  5. XD fair enough, though in actuality you're thinking way harder about this than I did. Nothing was happening, I wanted something to happen, so I voted someone and tagged them. The choice of STINK was purely someone-I-wouldn't-feel-bad-about-voting, I guess? And then I watched what happened. And yeah, I get the whole trying-something-new thing lol (also, calling out things that feel off to you and attaching a vote is basically what I do as well, so that does make sense to me; would note, though, that if even you think it sounds forced you may wanna rethink it or at least note that it's partly gut, rather than trying to squeeze reasoning out of a stone) @Matrim's Dice note that TJ clarified that there are few enough players in the game that the elims only know the identity of their Mistborn. So yeah, two-way e/e distancing just isn't gonna happen this game, at least not this early.
  6. lol nah I currently have no gut/meta read on you at all. Which is... yeah idk what that means XD The whole advantage that elim teams normally have is TMI, and free communcation/coordination, to balance out their more limited numbers. Here, they have like basically none of that. That's what I mean. Yes, it will be harder to find the elims because they don't have TMI, but it will also be harder for them to do anything because they don't have TMI. That was what I meant : P (ninja'd by Archer saying the same thing more succinctly lol)
  7. even though the last time it happened, it was right? A. This makes it harder for them too and B. there will be other tells, though. They can't coordinate their efforts, so if one of the elim Mistborn falls under suspicion, each of them is going to individually have to respond, without knowing for sure whether anyone else will. So at that point they will be quite obvious. That being said, though, you're right . I have no idea to what extent, if at all, vote analysis will actually work in this game XD though I'm still gonna try. Right, if they got really unlucky they might even accidentally NK one of their own. But that's... probably too much to hope for. I feel reasonably optimistic that at least one of the elims kills will hit an elim from the opposite team, though This is not to say that we're asking any vanillas that may or may not be out there to claim, though XD please let this not be a repeat of TJ's last game Note that TJ said the knowledge of an additional member was subject to the number of players. @TJ Shade can you confirm one way or another whether the elims know two other members each or just one? Would note that I agree with Archer to an extent about theorizing what the elims will do. I think it's fine to an extent, but seriously, it doesn't help us to talk about how the elims might theoretically find one another so please just refrain XD talking about who the elims will vote for/kill is less dangerous, since, again, they don't know who each other all are. The Mistborn can do that, yeah, but at that point we can catch them just by noting whose predictions of the NK are most accurate : P I take personal offense at this statement I believe Archer's point is that regardless of when you wrote it, it does help both elim teams when people theorize ways they could find each other. The rest I have no problem with, but I do think the various mentions of strategies for the teams to use in locating each other were somewhat unnecessary. ~~~ Tesse Mourn had absolutely no idea how she'd gotten herself into this. This was almost as bad as that time a few years ago in Fallion's Tears... She'd seen a lot, since then, but dealing with two different armies laying siege to her new home city, and then having to trick their leaders and their Mistborn into murdering each other... for neither the first nor the last time, she wished she weren't a Soother.* They never would have asked her to do this if she weren't. *for legal reasons I'd like to clarify that this is not a real Soother claim. Interested parties see LG74 for details.
  8. Gears and I will take a QF slot Edit: Gears wants me to add that the theme of the game will be where each role is a stereotype of forum-mafia player
  9. I think you need to change the settings of the doc so that people it's not shared with can see it it won't let me in
  10. Once a Mistborn gets a metal once, Kas rerolls if he rolls for that metal again. So, if 1 = Steel, then he has to roll a 1 (which is a 1/8 chance) and then roll another 1 (another 1/8). You multiply those probabilities together, so that's 1/64 or 1.6% chance that she'll get Steel again.
