  1. With Cuna and the scene at the end of Starsight where Spensa sends the delver to Starsight, it's definitely at least hinting that the Superiority isn't totally evil, that there are lots of innocents and also some good leaders. Plus, Brandon specifically said that he felt there weren't quite enough alternative viewpoint chapters in Starsight, and that he's going to both do more chapters with other characters and release audio novellas from other viewpoints. (This was in State of the Sanderson)
  2. From what we learned about different kinds of Light in RoW, it seems like all Investiture is somehow connected to one Shard or another. But in one of the scenes with Navani and Raboniel, Navani puts Light in a vacuum tube. That means it was totally isolated from all tones or other Shardic influences (if there's a different type). So what is the status of that Light? It's completely pure Investiture, so something probably changes. Any theories?
  3. If Adolin doesn't become a full Radiant, and he just ends up with a stronger connection to Maya as a blade, what would that entail? Besides that, we don't really even understand how deadeye Shardblades work. Are they just manifesting in the Physical Realm without a bond? We know something like that is possible from Soulcasters and similar, but how they make it happen is still kind of vague.
  4. I thought only people, with a cognitive element, appeared in Shadesmar. That probably applies to animals as well, but bacteria don't have brains or thought, so they probably would not burn down the Cognitive Realm
  5. Good point. We do need more Elsecalls (Is that a word?)
  6. So is Elsecalling like a little personal perpendicularity? It always seemed like a different thing to me, because you can move both between realms and across one realm, like an Oathgate does.
  7. Alternatively, you could wait until an appropriate time and then give WoK as a present, then guilt trip them if they don't read it, no summary necessary. "What? I gave you a 1,001 page book and you didn't read it?!"
  8. Here's the Way of Kings quote: "Oh, where the Palanaeum is?...It's the center of the city, so to speak. Except it's the top." (p. 65) So it is the Palanaeum, but it's also Taravangian's palace, so it could be a foreshadowing relating to the Diagram. Is it known where that map comes from?
  9. Winning a fight. That way, if this Epic is attacked by the Reckoners, and they win, they die, thus losing the fight.
  10. My personal favorite is the metaphor about a piece of bread at a rock party. "Piece of bread. At a rock party. You know, because nobody wants bread at a rock party. They're there to see the cool rocks."
  11. I find him slightly bothersome. Not in a hilarious way, like Wit, but in a more annoying way. But to be honest, I can't say I really dislike any Cosmere characters (other than evil people) intensely.
  12. Well, at a certain point even an incredibly skilled Forger like Shai might just not be able to fit all the details for a complex Forgery (like maybe an Essence Mark) on a single stamp. Then using a plate and multiple stamps could alleviate the problem.
  13. I'd say it's probably Breeze
  14. hoo, boy. Do I have to pick? But if you're insisting, I'd probably have to say that it's Shai, from the Emperor's Soul. Somewhat more obscure, but in my opinion a really cool character.
  15. Hello! yet another person new here
  16. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the Fused that Szeth and Lift fought at the end of Oathbringer had the powers of both a Windrunner and Edgedancer
  17. In Words of Radiance, Shallan says that the patterns suggest cymatics, which is a type of vibration pattern. That might fit with this - people at the edges of the Plains send a huge vibration all the way across, shattering the whole thing symmetrically
