  1. Theoretically, Windrunners could Lash a body upwards with enough Stormlight to get it to escape velocity by the time it runs out. ... now I want to turn this into a physics problem.
  2. A Burnt and Devotary team seems like it'd be more likely than Araris as the last elim to me at this point, but I agree that if Burnt turns out not to be an elim we should execute Araris tomorrow.
  3. I will vote for Burnt because the evidence points to her doing the NK.
  4. My LOM+ showed that Devotary LOM+ed Burnt.
  5. Brandon hasn't come up with a unit of investiture yet or a conversion rate between any types of investiture, so this question can't really be answered yet. Investiture does not degrade over time, though some types do leak out of imperfect containers, so Breath doesn't need to contain that much Investiture because it can be contained perfectly in any object. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/31/#e9685 https://wob.coppermind.net/events/314/#e8925
  6. I'm pretty sure that Invention would be a good fit for Navani even though we haven't seen that Shard yet yet Whimsy might fit first-few-chapters!Siri Devotion would fit Evi well Ambition seems like it'd fit Kelsier
  7. I finished rereading HPMOR and I noticed so many little details that I had missed before. Some of my thoughts about HPMOR, full spoilers, bullet points in no particular order:
  8. But then would defending them really be right? Also, the third oath isn't always necessarily about protecting even those you hate. It's about getting rid of identity-based caveats about who you'll protect, but doesn't mean that you need to protect everyone. Just as a Windrunner soldier can still fight their enemies to protect their friends and family, a Windrunner lawyer could prosecute a murderer to protect those who they would kill if let free.
  9. I'm going to vote on Burnt because she's one of the likely elims according to Kas' analysis and I read her as slightly more suspicious than Lotus. This post especially seems a bit "off" to me.
  10. Don't you mean: 1. Life before... eh, I'll finish this one later 2: (insert ideal here later) 3: I guess I have enough time to finish this ideal by tomorrow (note to self: add 2 more ideals when I have time) On a slightly more serious note, the order of Bookreaders: 1. Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination 2. I will read all of the good books that I can find 3. I will not spoil books for others 4. I will accept that I cannot reread books as if for the first time 5. I will treasure the good memories that books have brought me
  11. Hmmm... that reminds me that the one uncorrupted mistspren that we've met has a very different naming style from the corrupted mistspren. We know that deadeyes can become semi-aware/sentient, so perhaps Enlightened spren were deadeyes who were made semi-aware like Mayalaran and Sja-anat was able to patch up their "missing pieces" with Odium's Investiture to make them fully sentient again. Since nobody heard of deadeyes acting anything like Mayalaran before, if this is true, then Sja-anat would probably first make a deadeye as aware as she could without Enlightening them, then offering to Enlighten them once they're able to respond and potentially agree to her offer. This wiould likely take a long time, which explains why there are so few Enlightened-spren Truthwatchers. This WoB seems to back up this theory - notice that it says "less volition" rather than full volition or no volition at all, which would fit with the limited sentience demonstrated by deadeyes.
  12. Dawnshard
  13. I'll join the vote on Gears, since there's slightly more evidence against them than against Kings and I don't like exeing inactive players who can't defend themselves.
  14. I thought that the cycle would end sooner since I misread EST as PST. I wasn't on yesterday because I had lots of homework, but now I'm going to read through the past cycles and analyze them a bit.
  15. My plan was to keep it circulating among villagers. I know that I'm a villager but I don't know if other people who are trying to get the Shadowblaze are villagers, so since I got it, I can give it to a person who I trust. If people only ever pass the Shadowblaze to people at the top of their trust lists then at some point an elim could possibly get it, but that's less likely and would take more time than an elim getting it randomly from the supply. I will pu a vote on Mist. In addition to what Araris said, doing everything based on RNG makes her actions less easily analyzed and claiming to RNG would allow her to subtly protect teammates if she is an elim because she could always say that she voted on a villager instead of an elim in a close grinch because the dice told her to.
  16. I was going to give the Shadowblaze away but it seems to have been stolen from me.
  17. You can always cancel your action and decide to do a different one.
  18. Can somebody fill me in on what's happened so far?
  19. Ventyl says that he's planning to take the Shadowblaze from me. Could somebody roleblock him so that I can give it to somebody who I actually trust?
  20. Tonight I'll probably pass the Shadowblaze to somebody else so that the elims can't kill me to get rid of it.
  21. I'm going to vote on Araris for the reasons that I've said before. Now that other people have also had the same suspicions I know that mine aren't just senseless paranoia.
  22. If I was an elim, do you really think that I would have said that I did actions that (admittedly) make me look suspicious? I could have simply never said that I forgot to take an action during the night and people would have just assumed that I had simply failed to get an item. There are other alternative lies that I could tell (at least one of which would probably make an elim doing them seem more village), but I won't write them here in case I give the elims any ideas. Also, there's simply no motivation for an elim to lie about not doing an action even before they are asked, since that would make them seem more suspicious, while for a villager, it'd be good to be honest about past actions
  23. I lost the game. Letting this thread be easily visible should probably be approximately one sixteenth of a war crime.
  24. My actions: D1: took a book of Vigor N1: forgot to submit an action D2: Tried to get a bucket of acid. Failed. N2: Tried to get chalk. Failed. D3: Tried to get chalk. Failed again. N3: Drew a line of Warding (yes, I was the other warder) D4: Tried to get chalk. Succeeded. N4: Forgot to submit an action.
  25. Last night I forgot to take an action. This is the first game where I've actually had actions, so I'm not used to having to remember to put one in every turn. This might just be my paranoia speaking, but I'm a bit suspicious of Araris. Both of the games that I've had as an elim have been with him. In one of them he did a major bus and in both of them he put his teammates on his sus list.
