  1. Thanks. Changed the fight scenes a bit as you suggested, as well as all the little grammar mistakes and things I neglected to explain (like the hat). Will say that the lack of context is done purposely to give the reader more questions which will later have answers (And they do have answers). Mistborn took a few chapters to tell us what Mistings are, so I feel this is equivalent to that. One thing I will ask is the Gravity thing. If the force pulling him down was strengthened, would he really need another force? Because that looks like it would be enough for his purposes.
  2. Trying and failing to get coherent answers. Electricity is confusing.
  3. Um, you can try doing it in the Cosmere Questions Thread, and see if anyone else has found an answer. if nobody does, then I have no idea.
  4. I know what you mean, but I'd rather try for the chain. A pole is just.. ugh.
  5. You reminded me of a problem and made me find a solution, so you did enough. Also, anyone who has any more information on rubber or rubber alternatives, please still post, any extra info is welcome.
  6. Well, not sure if this is possible as we only see spren as one object, but maybe a spren can turn into a chain with a hook, so spider-radiant can still swing, but would that be considered one object or would each link be it's own object?
  7. There is a slight problem with air if that is to capture the person alive, and even stormlight runs out, though it would be a useful way to keep a person in place and be surrounded and then let go and ambushed.
  8. This has officially turned into a series of new posts. I swear the mods are going to look at this and be confused about what to do. Especially this one about killing people. So, topic of the day... how much electricity (What's the measurement for this, voltage, watts, current, amps, I'm still confused about this.) to kill a person INSTANTLY. I need instantaneous death. And once that is figured out, what effects would this have if it just appeared in your hand, like how far could this travel? Because this should arc toward the nearest object, so whats the range, perse, of this, and is there actually a range or will it just, like, go into the ground, if you could not tell, I am very confused by this stuff still. Also, assume the electricity will not register you for how far it will travel.
  9. Yeee! By the way, if they can use the surge of abrasion, they would be able to use stormlight or some other way of healing, so the two are a given for getting out, so without those two, that person is going to have a very frustrating time dealing with that collar.
  10. Yes, but the human and parshendi body is very flexible and is quite capable of odd contortions, especially if their not afraid of breaking bones since they can heal. The loop would have to be strangling them to be small enough to guarantee they can't slip through, and that is especially through with a loop around the arms.
  11. @The_Truthwatcher Thank you for your assistance, my friend!
  12. All true. Will say that edge dancers or anyone with the surge of abrasion will not be affected by this maneuver, and not sure who will be a valuable enough target to capture and not kill. BTW have not read RoW yet. No spoilers.
  13. Perhaps, but remember, this will one, leave them without a weapon, so this can't be done in a fight with more than two people, two, use the spren for a long time, something the Radient might be against as they will be unable to interact with their spren, and third, it's a lot of effort to take someone alive, which can't be done with the fused as they are useless as captives.
  14. Hmm, I was hoping for more, but thanks. I'm still looking for how vulcanization used in those eras and civilizations. EDIT: I have found the answer! So I knew the Aztecs had rubber, and I now know how they were able to harden it! Spoiler, it's not vulcanization. As said above, rubber is harvested as sap from rubber trees BUT THEN is then mixed with a juice from a purple flower named morning glory. Depending on the proportion of the two you get different qualities; a 50-50 blend of latex and glory juice gets you rubber with maximum bounce and 75-25 blend of latex and glory juice gets you maximum durability. Small note is that this process needs to be in warm temperatures like in Mexico. So that is how you can make rubber in the medieval-ish era. Victory is mine!
  15. I also request a slot for this Monday, please.
  16. What era was Vulcanization invented, can people in the medieval-ish era use the process?
  17. Pretty sure there's a mass limit to what Spren can be, and we don't know if they can become bendable material like rope, only metal. As for the metal ball, being in something you can't see out of, can't control what happens to, and can't breathe out of is a death trap.
  18. @The Windrunner Supreme please do something.
  19. Boys aren't that dumb at fifteen. That's around tenth grade, where people tend to get a brain. *Remembers certain idiots in my school* Okay maybe some, but they're exceptions.
  20. Thanks, I am a person who appreciates details. Hope they don't, because I have around ten planned. I have lots of science questions. Peace!
  21. posts and content number count are the same. f you want to know how much you posted in total, then the leader board has a setting for that.
  22. hmmm. Hard to remember. I'm going to say Gyorn because they are fairly useless and the worse ones i can't even remeber.
  23. WHat time is it? I need to catch the Nazi Parade. WTWTTSW when your mom asks who your friend is.
  24. I'm looking for consistent and logical writing. While they have their moments, they have their contrived episodes and i can't help but see Mando being pulled by a tie fighter and thinking "His arm should be ripped off." and fobs do not work when you consider how they would impact the universe at large. It's not all bad, but I would like it to be a little better. And it's not about seriousness, the tone of the show is not what I'm criticizing, I'm am more than aware when something simply isn't what I enjoy but is well-crafted. Remeber, I mentioned I liked rebels and clone wars, very episodic adventure of the week shows. First, read the recent Thrawn trilogy, it's really good. *Kisses* And second, what do you mean by pain? Do you mean you want Thrawn to kill all our heroes with his brilliant tactics and cold calculating posture and attitude and commanding tone and really nice c... Sorry, lost my train of thought there. But yeah, I'd love having a show that just let it be genocided by Thrawn, hopefully while having his complex character intact and not reduced to 'really smart evil guy'.
