  1. Please provide the WoB, because you can technically push on metalminds, it's just harder and gets harder the more full it is, so I think that even if it's possible, it will follow the same rules as allomancy and metalminds.
  2. if someone restraint him long enough to flay him, I do think someone could have taken him to the nearest ocean or large lake and dropped him in.
  3. Yeah, definitely. That or try and use some coins or other metal and jump to ground. If something like drowning could kill him, I think one of the kings would have killed him early on. They flayed him alive and he still didn't die Yeah, he can speed up his won thoughts, and steel does that as a side benefit.
  4. He can stop tapping steel and prolong it, and even make a time bubble to make time pass quicker. Also, I would think heavily invested metalminds will resist soul casting, especially the TLR. And again, we don't know how fast they can get to the cognitive realm, he might still kill them in the blink of an eye they are still in the physical.
  5. I will mention it is not that obvious in the books and many people didn't see it, so it's not really forced in. He had to basically tell us. I think the fact they have so many representation qualities, they stand out more, especially with the humanxparshman. But he hasn't really done anything with that yet. Oh yeah, I remember that. I was fine at first until I started reading apollo's trials and realized he had an LGTBQ+ character in every book and realized he was just wanting to cram that in. They weren't important and clearly there to check off a box. And that made me look at Magnus Chase ina new light and saw the beginnings of that.
  6. Yes. If you do the foot mile thing and stuff a mile's worth of metal and then collapse it, the metal would 'expand' out.
  7. Give me a counter the heralds can do when he moves faster than they can think.
  8. You have the most coins and you clearly don't have a captain. @00kla yours.
  9. It would look like a game that's glitching and you're running in place or lagging. And yes, square foot.
  10. That's a thing actually, Kelsier might need a way to justify him killing someone both for others and himself. He did kill the nobleman because of what he did, but it is also because of his vendetta. It would not take much to decide that nobleman deserved death. He isn't some mass murderer who will kill the most convenient person, he needs a reason, and as far as he is concerned, every nobleman deserves death and they tend to give him plenty of reasons.
  11. I use my Captain on @Hentient Coins-6 Cards-2
  12. I feel the fact he can move faster than they react would beat anything the heralds can do. Super speed is considered overpowered for a reason.
  13. Taln would certainly be a sight to behold, but TLR is capable of decimating armies. The guy can move faster than they can blink, punch hard enough to possibly break shardplate, heal from any wound they inflict on him (As well as have metalminds capable of resisting those blades) duralumin enhance all of steel/iron after compounding weight, Atium to see the future... The heralds do not stand a chance.
  14. even the guy from the prologue he wasted Atium on?
  15. SO you know how space-time is seen like a paper and a wormhole is where you fold the paper and punch a hole in it? Kind of like that. The space in that area is constricted or stretched. If you collapse it midway, you be where you are as if everything was normal, so if you stretch one foot into one-mile and walk 1/12 a mile, you'll have walked an inch.
  16. It is said hoid stored his excess memories in the breath somehow.
  17. I would like to change my answer, seeing as I am king's wit.
  18. It is technically, but the manipulation of time and/or distance can let beings be effectively faster than light, and there is FTL technology for stuff like signals.
  19. TLR is a god. He does effectively have infinite strength with compounding. The heralds are powerful, especially in their prime, but the Lord Ruler is a different beast entirely.
  20. So, after my last post, which was really fun, I'm going to start pitching some of my Magic systems and seeing what you guys think. Feel free to leave thoughts, questions, and suggestions. So this part of my magic system revolves around the manipulation of space. All of it. --- Also, skills that are normal and easy to learn and all users with any skill should be expected to be able to use them; skills italicized are more advanced and will only be seen by experienced users, Skills in bold are expert and very few individuals will be seen using them. Telekinesis- So they have telekinesis. This is the simplest power. There is a weight limit to how much they can carry -the exact amount is still undetermined, but I'm thinking maybe 200 pounds- though they can work around this weight limit with some of the other powers. They cannot lift themselves up or others that can use this power. Gravity manipulation- Can reduce or increase the force of gravity on anyone or on any area. They can also change the direction of gravity/ make new sources of gravity (think Windrunners). An object's or person's structural integrity is still the same, so too much force can cause them to break/die. There are ways for them to protect themselves from those effects, but they are hard to learn. Manipulation of distance/space- Can redefine distance, make one foot into a mile or a mile into one foot. Portals- Can open a portal between two points. The portal can be obstructed by objects and cannot cut through them- this goes for both opening and closing- but it can be moved while open to get out of that space. There is no size limit, but the larger you want it, the longer it takes. It can make a personal-sized person in around a second while something big enough to portal a starship would take maybe half a minute to a minute. They need to have some idea of where their going and will have some control of where they end up. There is a range where you can open portals- this would be at max a city-wide range. It takes some concentration to keep the portals open and that concentration increases for every additional portal. This can lead to headaches from overexertion. For context, Most experts can't keep more than four portals open. It does get easier to keep them open with practice. Teleportation- Can teleport from one place to another. If you teleport into a place without enough space, you will just be teleported to the nearest safest place you can fit and not have something inside you. This is more difficult to master than the other skills. The range is smaller than the Portal's range. Inertia is not transferred in the teleportation (if you are falling and then teleport a foot from the ground, you would start falling as if you jumped off a bench.) This causes disorientation as you try and get your boundaries and from the sudden jarring change. Users of this can get used to it, but non-users have a difficult time with it. There is a weight limit to how much can be teleported. The user can teleport itself and a certain amount of weight with them, like a person. If not touching, the weight limit is much smaller- aka not enough to teleport a person. Density Shifting/Atmic spacing- can phase through objects and walls. One of the hardest skills to learn. They do need to breathe, so they cannot stay indefinitely in a wall, however, once the air makes contact with you, it will also be able to phase through the wall, so you will only need your mouth out to breathe and not your chest. You can make other objects phase, but there's a mass limit. You cannot make portions of an object phase, only the whole object. You will phase through the ground; this can be fixed with gravity manipulation which can be used to replicate flight. Phasing objects can touch phasing objects, so two users phasing can interact. So, what do you think of the abilities, what questions do you have about them, and any suggestions to add to this arsenal? Anything that manipulates space and gravity is a free game.
  21. *Spits drink* I need to see this now.
  22. Thanks. I was quite surprised that my first try at asking a question worked. (This was the third or fourth question I asked him on the stream, but this was my first stream.) Yeah, but I got to confirm and theory to stroke my ego, and it was just a hypothetical anyway. I knew Ishar wasn't actually doing it for him, though it could become important if the Ghostbloods steal it, seeing as Dalinar now has it he isn't great at keeping it safe. Plus, it might help with the investiture problem. It's just interesting all around!
  23. Yeah, like I think he would tell Vin, don't kill shan erial and screw our cover, but I doubt he'd be too mad if she did. (Assuming things played differently and killing her was a costly choice.)
  24. Well, he still confirmed that whatever Ishar is doing would help Kelsier, so it's still a victory! Also, I was the one that said hi, btw.
  25. Yeah, probably, but he would discourage it if he doesn't want certain players to die. He wants Dalinar to win and probably would tell them 'please don't screw them over too bad unless you have to.'
