  1. Yesterday's Livestream when someone points out that anitlight didn't work perfectly along with science and he said that was intentional as he wants people to see this was magical in origin.
  2. It doesn't work perfectly like how anti-matter and mater would work. He even stated such on yesterday's stream. While I see your thought process, internal consistency is most important and we have seen nothing to support this yet. Agreed. TLR is the absolute best. I want a chapter or book where we see him with his full power going all out.
  3. Is there a reason you hate your original PFP?

No, but Ookla season ends on the 19th, Koloss Head-Munching Day and Brandon's birthday.

Go to the 17 shard discussion forum. Frustration asked if Ookla season should end early when the State of Sanderson was released, and Chaos said yes.

Oh. All right, then? I guess I'll switch.

  4. Agreed. It's a jump with no evidence. We have not seen anything similar happen yet. Maybe try to see if BS will answer during the New Year's livestream.
  5. They may be bale to get to those high speeds, but they have far less control than TLR does, who will see everything slowing down, giving him an advantage. How do you know this? Yeah, probably. YES. Thank you.
  6. ... I'm an idiot, don't listen to me. Forgot Apollo is gay. Still have some problems with his latest writing.
  7. Slight correction, Shard vessels will sate him. Slivers are a bit different. Nightblood might still pose a threat to TLR.
  8. Could not agree more. Several god beings tell you not to do something and you proceed to continue doing so. Even if they are insane, it still probably not a good idea!
  9. Yes, but he doesn't specify. He could have meant radiant soulcasters. I don't believe they use different titles.
  10. So this WoB says that it is possible to soulcast metalminds. Questioner Can you Soulcast an Invested object? Brandon Sanderson Yes, but it's much harder. But humans are Invested, and you can soulcast humans. Questioner So, suppose you had a goldmind that was filled. And you tried to Soulcast into iron. What would happen to the Investiture inside it? Brandon Sanderson So, the Investiture would remain in there, but it's keyed to the wrong thing, so you wouldn't be able to get it. It'd be much harder to Soulcast that, by the way. The more Invested, the harder it is. But Soulcasters are used to it, because everything has Investiture, and most of what they're Soulcasting. They deal with this, so it's something they're kind of expert at. So, this is not outside reason, that it could happen. You could give it to your average Soulcaster on Roshar, and they could make it happen. You just wouldn't be able to get the Investiture out of it anymore. So, in a little debate in the RoW spoiler thread, this was brought up (Don't worry, no spoilers here. These are all hypotheticals) about the TLR and how to beat him and that they said they could just soulcast his metalminds, using this WoB as evidence. I say that this means it's possible, it's not easy and that TLR metalminds would be filled to the brim and then incredibly difficult to soulcast. The WoB even confirms this. " It'd be much harder to Soulcast that, by the way. The more Invested, the harder it is." SO it follows the same rules for pushing on mtelaminds, where it's possible, but it gets harder to the point of impossibility. he counters that a herald during the time of honor with the massive amounts of stormlight that can soulcast, like Battar, would be able to push through. I say that might be possible but still extremely difficult. What do you all think of that? Do you agree that the TLR bands -which are likely filled to the brim- would be nearly impossible for any normal soulcaster to cast? And what about a full-powered Battar?
  11. Wait, it never says base fabrials soulcasters, it just says soulcasters.
  12. It was, but then honor died and so the blades don't quite have the same power they used to for them. And I would love seeing TLR the skybreaker, which BS confirmed was the most likely.
  13. I will mention that Nale is not able to access the same level of Stormlight with his honorblade like he used to now that honor is dead, so he is little more than a slightly more powerful skybreaker. Not really a match for TLR. Edit: also if the heralds get to bond with another spren, then so does TLR. I will allow Nale as he has bonded a spren, but any hypotheticals will be met will equal hypotheticals.
  14. Yeah, agreed. I've noticed Rick Riordan's writing has been slowly decreasing in quality, the terrible representation being part of it. have you noticed that as well?
  15. There might be actually. TLR did not have an infinite source of atium, he had a lot circulating and with the Kandra. They might not have been full. And remeber, the reason they were difficult were less that they were metalminds and that they were in his skin. I believe vin pushes them once they are separated.
  16. Okay. I will mention many characters will have one aspect focused in a book, like say, kaladin's depression. I see your worries for potential problems, I disagree there are currently problems (Not like you're saying that.)
  17. Go to the RoW spoiler board threads, I believe there are some theories there.
  18. She struggled even with the help of a god. Battar might be able to, but if the metalminds were like those in BoM, which seem to be the most filled metalminds we have seen, I think it would take Battar quite a bit of time and struggle to soulcast them. Can do it doesn't mean it's easy or quick.
  19. I'm asking would his outcastness be better if it played to him bonding to the sibling, which is definitely a possibility in the book. I am asking a hypothetical.
  20. It says filled, not completely filled, and BS confirms the same rules that make Metalminds hard to push also make them hard to soulcast, so it would make sense to assume that a metalmind like we see in BoM would be extremely hard to soul cast even for a herald. Your example makes no sense, as that glass is turning metal the fuller it gets.
  21. Thanks. Would it surprise you to know I added the can affect other people as I was writing this thread?
  22. Okay... would it be better if he then bonded the sibling, as he being an outcast on both sides makes him more appealing to them?
  23. The thread proves my point that it does get harder the fuller it gets, so a completely full metal mind like we see in BoM would resist even battar for a least a bit, assuming it's even possible to soulcast metalminds that full even with a shards power. It is technically possible to soul cast aluminum too, but it would take the power of three shards.
  24. Yeah... he is a person without a people... because he betrayed his kind and the humans are suspicious of all parshmen... I'm sorry, I don't see your porblem with that. Would it have been better if the sibling had bonded to Rlain? (I still think that would be a better choice than navani, but that's another thread.)
  25. We still don't know that in the books. It's never been referenced yet. His character traits have focused on him being an outcast to both parshman and humans. The fact the two like each other is barely there, so it can't be their whole character.
