  1. To stay consistent with the bad grammar that has been plaguing my recent posts in this thread. commers will never be overrated
  2. i didn’t forget, I purposely edited the autocorrect to make it lowercase Yay, no full stop buddies.
  3. uhhggggh I had such a bad day today. So I got into this concert band that I was super pumped about being apart of, and my first rehearsal was today; but I swear I have never felt so unwelcome in my life! I was so disappointed because I woke up super early to get there on time and was really excited, but when I turned up, it was just sooo evident that I was not wanted. I don't think I've ever been filled with this much self-loathing but man was I naiive thinking that being part of this ensemble would somehow be a positive thing. Now, I'm so unmotivated, I can't even get myself to read my book (that I've really been enjoying). Basically I hate myself for every decision I've made this week and I want to cry myself to sleep for the rest of my life.
  4. BODMAS stands for: Brackets Order Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction. The BODMAS rule is used when solving mathematical equations, it outlines the order you should complete each step in to get the correct answer. The rule states that first, you must get rid of any brackets that are in the equations by expanding or solving what is contained in them. Order refers to the roots and powers in the equation, they are the element of the equation that you should solve next. Or, if you're studying at a more basic level, Order provides a convenient vowel sound that makes the acronym easily pronounceable. Next you should address the Division and Multiplication in the equation. It doesn't really matter whether you divide or multiply first, but it must be done after the BO and before the addition and subtraction. Then as a final step, you address the addition and subtraction required by the equation. Once again, it doesn't really matter whether which order you add and subtract in, so long as it is done after all the other steps of BODMAS. Keep in mind that most equations won't require you to use all the steps of BODMAS, for example if an equation doesn't contain brackets, then you skip the first step (B) and move straight on to Order. Feel free to ask me for further clarification if any of this post doesn't make sense, or if I haven't answered your question sufficiently . Also welcome to the Shard!
  5. Jahora gaze lingered at the door Kess had just walked out hopefully she won't be too long. He found Kieran "Hey, how are you feeling?" he asked "You seemed to be in pain earlier when we were all downstairs. Did you find that charcoal you were looking for?" @Fallapede
  6. Aelyon meandered aimlessly around the room, paying close attention to the snippets of news and gossip that drifted into her ear as she glided past various conversations. She learnt that basically nothing had drastically changed in the time she'd been away I guess that makes things easier. Tonight she needed to find an ally and she had no idea where to start; her original plan had been to single out the princess, but she was occupied with a Dellré, a house that was way out of her league for the moment. Hvenker and Dellre used to have a similar amount of influence, but not anymore; Hvenkar was currently about to drown in bankruptcy. The Hvenkar/Dellre relationship would probably have to wait for another day. She really didn't fancy holding conversation with Cadan, he would probably call her something along the lines of 'lout', Jassir would probably do something similar in a more clever and humoristic way. She sighed, maybe she was misjudging the court, but she couldn't shake the feeling that she wasn't welcome here. Maverick would probably be the safest option, but while he'd was smart enough, he didn't have the flare for politicking that Aelyon needed to meddle with at the moment in order for her save House Hvenkar. Perhaps she would say hi to him when her status at court was re-established, but at the moment Aelyon needed to aim higher, now was not a time for her to play the game safe. A well placed risk could lead to either a swift uprising or it would pull out the final straw holding Havenkar from its brutal demise. Ayleon suppressed a grimmance at the thought. So, she lifted her chin high and opted to do something truly desperate. Aelyon turned and approached The Raveness, and she was terrified. Let her fellow couriters see her braving what they were afraid of, and making friend of whom they hated. @Shard of Thought
  7. Yes, every grammer mistake i've made on this page has been purposeful
  8. You are still an exspert in the English language.
  9. While you're evidence works, I'm hoping that the champions will be characters that are currently more central to the story then Taln has been.
  10. Aelyon held her glass aloft as she gazed around the room, this was the first ball she had attended in months, and the first ball she had ever attended without her Lord Husband Hvenkar. She had stayed on the downlow after her disgrace of a husband had brought their house to practical bankruptcy with his alcoholism. What she needed was someone to catch her up on how the political had changed while she'd been cowering in disgrace, maybe she could brave chatting near the high table, or maybe it would be wiser to seek out the jester. She'd noticed the disapproving looks people had given her when she entered the building, the court goers wanted her to know that Hvenkar was no longer the powerhouse it once was; that was the problem with this court, in order to survive, you had to take every opportunity to squash a rival and make sure that they stayed squashed. Getting house Hvenkar back into business would be no easy task.
  11. Yay, Chiri-Chiri gang!! Welcome to that Shard
  12. You now own Nightblood. Nightblood is your bane. I wish for my plant to grow faster.
  13. “Yup, it’s about a five minute walk outside the slums. We can also go shopping if there’s anything you need.” With that, he walked out of the room and down the stairs to look for Kieran @Fallapede
  14. “Okay.” That’s probably all I’m going to get out of Rose for the moment. “We should get going, I Kieran’s been waiting for us.”
  15. Twiget yelped in surprise then burst out laughing "Hey, stop that now" she chortled heartily as she tried to bat Pebble away from her nose.
  16. Silk raised his eyebrows slightly "shouldn't you..." he muttered. "And do you two know each other?" He looked between Draco and Harry.
  17. Jahora nodded slowly "Thanks, for sharing that with us. I have heard stories about the treatment of those people, but I have no personal experience regarding that topic. You don't need to be terrified of your powers, they are apart of you. There's no point being scared of yourself because frankly, you're not that scary. However, I do what it feels like to not belong in a family. My father left home as well, if that's any comfort...which it probably isn't." He knew where his father had gone, although part of him wished that Benja had just disappeared like Rose's did; he'd probably still be with his family if that was the case. "I assure you Rose that I am not like them I will not treat you like they did. But tell me one more thing, who do you hate? Your mother, your father? your aunt and uncle? everyone?" she never came back...That was probably how his younger siblings, Violet and Andy, had felt when Jahora had left home and never came back. Little of their love for him was genuine, but they still would have missed him. They probably would have felt like Rose did when her Mother left. He had seen his siblings once since he left them, that had been at Andy's death and because of that encounter, he had no intention of seeing Violet again. At least, not until Andy had been avenged.
