  1. When I came back onto this thread for the first time in about a day, I wasn't expecting you guys to still be talking about chicken.
  2. Twiget tumbled down the mountain, head over heels, heels over head. She felt herself reach the bottom of the slope, but her weight and momentum propelled her onwards. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw the others in a cave, but she couldn't stop herself from rolling away from them. In a panic, she let go of her hind legs causing her to land with a gentle thud on her stomach, sliding a few meters along the snow before slowing to a dizzy halt. She looked around frantically for Pebble and found the dragon looking dazed at the base of the tree with a pile of snow plonked on her head maybe rolling down that mountain wasn't my brightest of ideas. She skipped over to Pebble and set her upright "C'mon Pebble, we need to get back to the others, I think I saw them back where we just rolled past. We should go quickly, there might be bad guys here."
  3. Aelyon holed up in the kitchen and nibbled on a slice of cake that lay on the bench as the castle recovered order from its momentary anarchy. She glanced around fervently for The Raveness' kid from before, perhaps he was pushed into another room while by a guard while following her tail, perhaps she shouldn't ponder his fate so wishfully. She took off her hanging jewels and shoved them into her pocket, no matter how tacky they were, they were way heavier than was pleasant to stand around in. She felt a little bad, she had told the boy that her little pantry raid would only take a minute, but it's be pretty hard to leave the room with the place in lockdown, let alone get back into the dungeon.
  4. "I don't like leaving people behind." Jahora said. He patted Rose daintily on the back "No need to look so sour" he said as he headed out onto the street.
  5. Drae stayed where he was on the hard wooden floor, he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
  6. "Having nothing to live for, no one to live for. Wanting to sleep, but knowing you'll inevitably wake up and have to do it all again." he stared blankly at the ceiling and tears started to well in his eyes "I just don't know what to do. Everyone I've met I've let down. I thought I was letting them down for a reason, everthing I did had a cause. But Kelsier lives and I'm just a mess of a stuff up. I'm so tired Lashy...so tired." he trailed off amd basked in the unfamiliar room's silence.
  7. "mmm," Drae said lazily in agreement. "like I said, I don't understand why someone would want to keep living after receiving a perfect opportunity to poof away into nothingness. My life's been long enough but my good pal death is nowhere in sight."
  8. Welcome to the rabbit hole Shard! I'm a pretty big WoT fan too XD.
  9. "But he's not dead" Drae complained hopelessly
  10. Drae followed Lashadwy into time room and sat down on the floor. "I feel like I've been cracking ever since The Basin, today I finally shattered. My life is just in a million pieces at the moment. I used to deal with blackmarket aluminum in Elendel with two of my mates, they converted me to the church of the Survivor except I guess I never truly believed that someone could survive after death. I just don't get why someone would want to survive after death. Anyway, my disbelief was the downfall of me my mate's little business, you can probably see the trauma that failure has caused me." He said gesturing helplessly at himself. "Basically our little trio became a dysfunctional mess because of our religious debate and the Constables almost got to us. I managed to escape the Basin before I was caught, I'm not sure what happened to the other two. I was wandering alone broke and penniless for months, relying on my soothing to get me by. But the ability the merely 'get by' didn't help the fact that I was alone, betrayed and penniless; I was just at that tavern doing my usual rounds, looking for work, soothing people for free alcohol, stuff like that." He lay down where he was and continued. He had been torn to pieces when he and his mates turned on each other, leaving themselves as easy picking for the law enforcement. It was like watching his life being taken from right under his nose and being replaced by something foul. "Then I learnt the The Survivor was actually alive, and I ...... You see, if the survivor is alive, then it's my fault that my downfall in Elendel happened the way it did. It was my disbelief that set off the ash mount. Kelsier being real means that I was wrong, an if I was wrong then it means that I'm the one that ruined everything. I'm the reason I'm broke and traumatized, it's my own rusting fault that I'm alone. Those friends of mine may have been caught and executed and it'd be my fault. It's just that I loved the life I had in Elendel, and Kelsier being alive means that I tipped it down the drain for nothing. I have no one left to blame." He closed his eyes and remorsefully played through his memories of the good times in Elendel "You are important to me, I don't think I'd be able to travel alone with Eryn, Zola's young, and the others are so...capable; I need you Lash, and you needn't ever have to doubt that fact." He felt himself slowly drifting to sleep, he had never spoken of his life before the roughs until now and the sheer exhaustion of letting it all go laid heavily on him like a blanket that grieved for all he'd lost since "The Survivor's not really alive though, right?" he mumbled weakly.
  11. "Yup, just waiting on Kess" Jahora called back @AmazingGoob
  12. Cool, cool. Is fry sauce a type of sauce or a specifically branded thing?
  13. I am very curious about his fry sauce. I can just look up a recipe.
  14. About a teaspoon of with brown sugar and less and a pinch with salt. I like spicy chicken but my family has no spice tolerance : (
  15. Aelyon declined with a wave of her hand and towards the kitchens "I hate the stuff. So, what are your thoughts on The Raveness?"
  16. I saw this and to be honest, I've never been so tempted to buy out a whole bookshelf. (spoilered for size)
  17. Drae walked upstairs and tapped softly on the door the he presumed to be Lash's. "Hey, do you really understand what I'm going through like you said?" He asked hopefully through the wooden door.
  18. I only eat brown sugar on it's own. I also eat salt, but only in small amounts
  19. Aelyon pouted slightly, she hadn't expected The Raveness to attend to her so quickly. Usually they let the pirinsor fester in prison for at least a few hours before dealing with them; she must of really dug into The Raveness' skin for her to be this prompt about it. "Actually, I was thinking of doing a quick pantry raid before getting down to business. I was going to go solo, but now that you're here, feel free to join me." She pulled a slim knife out of her bra and a long pin out of her hair I wish I had my lock picking kit. She had been taught to keep the kit with her at all times, but thing was so bulky. She sighed softly as she started fiddling with the lock. She had trained in these dungeons as a child, but she hadn't visited them ever since she got married. A married women didn't have time to frolic around as an assassin like a maiden did. When the lock popped after a couple moments of trying, she doffed her overdress and stepped out. She started to walk upstairs towards the kitchens, "Don't worry, this'll only take a minute. I'm thinking cake, maybe a cookie, then we'll be right back. Coming?"
  20. Drae clenched his jaw tight and prayed to the Survivor that Adilie and Lash would stop taking about the thing that could potentially be sitting across the table from him.
  21. "I don't want to." He refused to acknowledge that a certain someone might be sitting just across the table from him. "Then why is she laughing? She laughs at me. She mocks me."
  22. "You mock me." Drae slumped lower in his seat. He bit his lip to stop it from trembling of course she mocks me, I'm nothing but a living joke.
