  1. I DON’T CUT CORNERS I MAKE A POINT TO BE ON TIME You say it like I would want to stop you. It’s very good, I recommend it. You should. Like Salad said, it’s similar in tone to Gravity Falls. Also, you should watch it because this song is going to take forever to finish with only two people, so we need your help.
  2. Watching this, I feel like we can maybe break down most cognitive shadows with bodies into two elements: Power/Fuel. Some investiture which keeps the CS around and makes up their spirit web. Most seem to need a constant supply of it. For Returned, they need breaths. Kelsier, the Heralds, and the Fused are all fueled directly by a Shard. "Glue". This glues a CS to its body. In Kelsier's case, this seems to be a Hemalurgic Spike. For returned, this is their divine breath. In many cases (returned, heralds, fused) this seems to do double duty and also serves as a fuel. This is just the way I think about cognitive shadows, but, if it has some truth to it, why do Returned die if they lose their body? They should still be fueled by the breaths they have. Mabey returned who have been killed actually hang around in the cognitive realm for a whole week (or however long it takes for the breath they have accumulated to wear out) before transitioning to the beyond? Also, on returned children, I like the theory that the child is always stillborn for whatever reason, but is then artificially returned somehow. Or, maybe Endowment has some motivation for always returning the God King's children.
  3. I have the power to spread false information and lies to thousands of minds with the press of a button.
  4. STRAIGHT FORWARD There's also a song the same creator did for Luz. It's called "Ordinary".
  5. Hello! As some people have already said, watch out for spoilers! Also, I would personally recommend reading Warbreaker between Words of Radiance and Oathbringer, for reasons I won't say because of spoilers. Who's your favorite character so far? I really like Navani and Adolin, but you don't see a ton of Navani's qualities that I like until Oathbringer.
  6. never really played any of the adventure modules, but I've heard curse of strahd is awesome I'm gonna go to my friends house and probably watch a movie or something I've had the book for years now, but I haven't found a good time to run it yet! Maybe I need to run it for Halloween, like you. I've read it, though, and it seems like it may take a few sessions to finish. I did have an Innistrad one-shot I planned a while ago that I never ran, so maybe I'll do that. Last year, I attempted to make a cardboard Shardblade. It didn't work so well. I may still have the remnants around here somewhere... This year, I'm going to rewatch The Owl House with my family, so that will be fun.
  7. *Gives Bridge 4 salute.* WTWTTSW Your stuffed animal comes alive and starts talking to you?
  8. I’m not sure how I didn’t find this thread earlier, but I also love Owl House! Amity is just the cutest thing, and, yeah Luz writing sappy fanfics is just the best. It comes out on Disney Plus on the 30th, so I’m going to probably binge watch it then. Don’t forget: “Ahh! My weak nerd arms!” Also, have you heard of the song “Little Miss Perfect” because, from what I can tell, the Owl House fandom has pretty much adopted it as Amity’s theme song.
  9. Welcome to the Shard! Which Brandon books have you read, so far?
  10. Well... grandma always did want to be cremated. WTWTTSW Your cat is playing with a ball of yarn.
  11. Yay! More Iconar collective! Reading this really makes me want to keep going with my writing, so thank you for that. All right, so I’m just going to go chapter by chapter here and give feedback and thoughts. Chapter XI, Earth Arcana This chapter was a little boring for me. I’m not sure why, though. I guess it just feels like not much progress is happening. Chapter XII, Particle Theory I like hearing about the magic system, but I’m still a little confused as to how particle theory ties into the Arcanas. Chapter XIV, Four Young Mages I love this chapter. It’s a really fun way to get some backstory and characterization. Tara is spelled two different ways in the chapter, though (Tera and Tara). Chapter XV, Sword Forms I really liked this chapter, too. It was so cool seeing the Dayseasons in action. Skullform is so edgy . I like the idea of the forms, too. They seem like they revolve more around your mindset and strategy than actual stances and moves, which is interesting. Dain continues to be a really great character, though Corrin could use some more characterization. He’s kind of boring to me right now. All in all, really fun! Things I’m curious about/looking forward to: What’s the difference between elves and humans? What is Feylore (that’s the name of where the elves live, right?) like, how does it differ from earth/the rest of the world? What exactly are demons like? Where do they come from? Why are we fighting them? What is Corrin’s backstory? I really want to see an actual battle with some demons.
  12. Wow, yeah. And I thought I lurked for a long time. Welcome to the Shard! Have your read any of Brandon’s non-Cosmere books, which is your favorite? Who’s your favorite character in all of fiction?
  13. In that case, I will join the ever growing ranks of your Shardbuddies. If, it’s good with you. I’ve always wanted to destroy a planet.
  14. What exactly would being a Shardbuddy of one such as yourself entail?
  15. Spoilers for episode 112: Edit: Whoops! Accidentally published before I was done. Comatose, I’m usually not able to watch live, but this week I will (unless something else comes up), if you want to do some kind of watch party. Edit 2: @Comatose so you see this.
  16. If you could meet any fictional character, who would it be? If you could have any Cosmere magic system, which one would you choose? Which Shard of Adonalsium would you pick up? What is your favorite non-Brandon book?
  17. Yep. I think white is his most recognizable hair color. I’m trying to think of something you could do to represent his lightweaving, but I can’t think of anything right now.
  18. My guess would be that Khriss got hers from Taldain, and now that Taldain is harder to get too, Guns from there are less accessible. In this case, however, we should start to see more guns showing up now that Scadrial has them.
  19. I’m good with that. It does seem like the most obvious option to me. Edit: How long do we have left in this turn?
  20. OK, good, now Seon, Ivory, or Yelig-Nar?
  21. Melishi seems most likely to me, considering Bondsmith literally has “Bond” in the name.
  22. This is a really good idea. I would definitely participate in/watch this!
  23. Thanks for running the game, Experience! It was more fun than I was expecting, even dying second round.
