“Well,” Guen said, laughing dryly “at least it’s not a sea of infinite pain. But... what is it?”

“I’m Ara.” Ara gestures to the ground, where faintly visible is a glowing shadow she casts in the wrong direction. “This is Memory, my best friend.”
-
"Well..." Ara trailed off. What even were they doing, exactly? It seemed she had come in on this later than everyone else. Then, she continued, flustered. "Well, there was this prophesy, and, apparently, we're supposed to kill a dragon, I guess? Which I'd really prefer not to do, but fate and all, so... I mean, if you want to help us, you can."
-
"Oh! Sorry!" Ara spoke quickly, ignoring the conversation behind her and focusing on the strange girl in the practice area. "We were just trying to find somewhere to talk. We thought this was empty. Is it fine with you if we talk here?"
-
Guen walked up to one of the machines, bracing himself. This task would require all of his control and poise.

Ara stood up from where she’d been tinkering with a new rune, moving it to her satchel. A prophesy! A dragon! Memory whispered in Ara’s mind. “This is what you wanted, Ara. A chance. Take the dragon’s power, it’s fame, it’s riches. It is a bright light indeed, and you could grow brighter from it.” Ara mulled it over. It was certainly appealing. If she slew a dragon, perhaps that would give her the resources she needed to help her sisters, to not be on the run anymore? Then again... that dragon hadn’t hurt her, why should she kill it? That would be mean! Dragons were people too. Well... Ara thought, at least it’s worth a shot. Resolved, Ara made her way to follow the strange group and the boy who had delivered the prophesy. “Hello, may I join you?”

I mean, if I was an elim, wouldn’t I want to distance myself from other possible elims? Gears is always hard to read for me, but before C5 I read him as village being framed. During C5, after he survived a lynch, I thought he was probably spiked, but wanted to hold off on lynching him just in case he was TLR.

I don’t like the Ghander lynch. They are a little sus, but I don’t think it’s worth lynching over. I was also against lynching gears for the first half of last cycle, and I don’t think defending him earlier than that round is necessarily sus. I think there were legitimate reasons as to voting for someone else that round. I could be missing something, I haven’t reread the earlier cycles recently, but I’m reading Ghander as village.

The Iconar Collective - Roleplay
JesterLavorre replied to Channelknight Fadran's topic in Roleplaying
As Chalja stepped through the Parallarity, she took in a breath, going from darkness to the bright light of the immense marble chamber of Midway. Before her eyes even adjusted, Cally whipped out the notebook she carried under one arm and started jotting down every last detail of the room, heedless of the disgruntled people pushing past her as she stood smack in the middle of the entryway. So many kinds of people! The Sjol were colorful, sure, but they never went any further in color than their patterned skin, never took their fashion, their culture, to new levels. “Maybe I can finally fit in here.” Cally whispered to herself, as she fumbled through the crowd. -
-
Ahh. Good point. I forgot about TLR. I’m still sus of you, but my main reason for that is your association with Gears, so I’ll vote him this round.

Thanks! Also, I don’t think we would be at lylo. We have 16 players left, and probably 4-5 elims. If two villagers are killed this round, then we would have 4-5 elims and 9-10 villagers. That would not get us to a point where another mislynch would lose us the game. Given that, I don’t think it’s necessarily in our best interest to lynch Gears this round. If he’s a spiked elim (which seems likely), he isn’t giving the elim team any advantage with his role by sticking around. Meanwhile, if he’s TLR, killing him would get rid of all our PMs, and possibly deprive us of an ally. In short, lynching elim!gears doesn’t hurt the elims much, and lynching TLR!gears hurts the village quite a bit. For now, I’m going to vote Quinn. I was sus of her in C2, and she was heavily involved with both gears and the RB train.

What does lylo mean? Sorry, I’m still kind of new to the terminology of this.

The Iconar Collective (OUTDATED)
JesterLavorre replied to Channelknight Fadran's topic in Creator's Corner
Now that I finished RoW, I can finally read the newest chapter of this! I like this one. It’s nice to just get some wholesome time with some nice people and a kid. The two sentences at the end are a little weird, though. What could they mean?- 320 replies

The Overlady Reads Rhythm of War, Part One!
JesterLavorre commented on Overlord Jebus's article in Columns and Features
Crazy formless theory: We know there’s unmade influence in Shallan’s family (or, at least, it’s implied). What if Shallan is an unmade and formless is the unmade personality that she’s suppressed.- 5 comments
