  1. Fox became unfocused again, fighting to stay in reality and keep her thoughts from taking her captive once more. "I... need to go," she managed to get out. Fox sighed with impatience, this person in front of her had still not moved. Fox shook her head, trying to stop wandering back to thoughts of Winter. She placed her hands on her knife hilt and seethed, "This is your last warning, get out, of my way." @Condensation

  3. Hello friends! I have tried inktober out a couple times in the past, though have been really bad at actually going through with it, but this year I am going to give it another whirl! I consider my artistry to be very poor, just as a warning before you venture any further onto this thread. I will do my best, but I am busy lifing, so... yeah Day 1: Fly In explanation of this wonderful and elegant piece, it is of late hours in my timezone and nearing midnight. I found myself realizing that I did not have the time to draw that which I had planned, so ended up drawing a literal fly. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, there is bound to be an actual fly, or fly like creature somewhere in the Cosmere. If not, that is simply a RIP. Here is my fly (his name is Fred):
  4. Fox sighed. What she had seen just moments before played over and over in her head, the thoughts and questions from the scene (pun intended) tumbled around like a bullet in a ribcage. It made it quite hard for her to focus on anything, but this person was requiring some extra work. Fox tried to sharpen her vision a little bit, she blinked a few times, and actually tried to locate the person's exact location. "I said," Fox re-iterated in a more threatening way, "get out of my way."
  5. "Kindly move out of the way," Fox said coldly, her eyes still not focusing on the person in front of her.
  6. Fox snapped her eyes up, her hands freezing and a primitive fear shining through her eyes for a moment. This would not do. Without the mind to perceive who exactly it was in the room, Fox stood, and hastened to leave.
  7. Fox's eyes fluttered open, she gritted her teeth and let out a long sigh. What had Winter done? Had he really killed her brother? Surely the vision had to be incorrect. Fox really wasn't that weak either, she would never resort to such a feeble end. But it had been so clear... kind of. At the end, she saw that it was herself, but a large part of the memory was still a blur. Why had she tried to kill herself? Why had she rammed that horrible knife into her own stomach? That reminded her of something! Fox frantically pulled her shirt up enough to see the bandages, and started ripping at the white cloths that rested on her stomach. Fox needed to see the original wound.... @Mist @Condensation @DramaQueen
  8. Fox barely noticed Circe as she came to stand in front of her. Something, some type of... anger churned deeply within Fox, yet at the same time, it was as if she did not feel anything at all but a coldness. Fox shivered when Circe brought her into an embrace, not resisting, but staring ahead with an unfocused gaze. There was so much to process. Winter killed her brother and she tried to kill herself with the accursed knife. That was... kind of a lot. She felt angry, very angry. Fox didn't want comfort from someone she barely knew, Fox didn't want comfort at all, she just needed to think. Right now, Fox hated the softness of hugs, the false feeling of safety and warmth that they created. In a quiet voice, Fox commanded coldly, "Let me go." She tried to squirm out of Circe's embrace.
  9. Fox glanced for a moment at Circe, but quickly returned her attention to the scene, for Winter had spoken loudly. The group conversed in a tense manner, but Fox could not make out any precise words that were said, and things were still very hazy. At Winter’s command, it would seem, the other people scurried out of the room, leaving only the girl, Fox’s brother, Winter and Nath. Something serious was happening, Fox could tell from the girl’s voice was brimming with emotion. What was going on? Winter made a swift movement with his wing, and a head hit the ground. Her brother’s head. Fox gasped, and lifted her hand to her mouth. Pain ricocheted through Fox as realization took hold. But before she had time to fully comprehend the situation, something new materialized in the girl’s hand. Fox didn’t even have to work to see the sharp knife. The jewel encrusted knife. The knife that had killed her brother... or not? After the girl spoke a few anguish filled words, she lifted the knife, and plunged it into her own stomach. Fox gasped once more through her hand, as the image fuzzed, or... unfuzzed. The girl teetered, and plunged to the floor. The girl... who was most definitely the Fox. This was her memory. “No...” she whispered. “I’m not that weak... I can’t be.”
  10. Fox looked around. "Okay..." She said timidly. Fox wanted to see more of this, she wanted to know why this woman and Korin were fighting, she needed to know. Circe had said that she was in control, so why couldn't Fox just, make everything make sense!? Agh. She tried blocking everything out again, she tried focusing on her desire to understand, her desire to see what happened next. She felt something change, so she opened her eyes. The landscape around her was quite different, causing Fox to yelp at first. There was that woman from earlier, and she was yelling at someone else, but this wasn't Korin, this was undoubtably Winter. What was Winter doing here? It wasn't hard for her to focus on him and get a clear image, but even if she hadn't been able to do that, the silver bulk on his back gave it away. And then Winter went out the door with Korin. Something seemed to happening with the girl again. Something strange. Something familiar. A man materialized, this man was almost not blurry at all. It was her brother. Fox yelped in shock. What was he doing here? How could this possibly be her memory? Another appeared as well, someone cloaked in blue. They moved toward the girl, but Fox's brother took the girl, and... shot her, it would seem. What was her brother doing? Why was her brother doing that? What was going on? Winter re-appeared, taking the gun from her brother, and taking the girl back from the rest of them. Fox could tell from the tone of his voice that he was not going to give any patience. Fox wondered if she could hear what he said if she concentrated enough. After a good moment, she could barely make out a couple of words, in intervals, it would seem, "Hold on... second... an. I apol... mine..." Winter said. Well that was just real helpful. Suddenly, another figure appeared in the room. They cast a gold shadow upon everything, and Fox could see them in complete detail. The man was Nathrangking. Things just got a lot more interesting.
  11. "May I ask who's calling?"
  12. Rubrum laughed in a way that would have once been considered elegant and heart-warming. Crazy how things change. The pain on this little girl's face was undeniable... so beautiful. Rubrum gave harsh kick to the girl's side with her boot. She hefted the scythe on her shoulder, and swung the sharp pointy part at one of the girl's legs again.
  13. Fox looks at the hand for a brief moment of hesitation, before grasping onto it firmly. "Let us do so, then."
  14. Rubrum's smile did not waver, she had all the time in the world to play with this mortal, this was much more fun than the extraction methods she had gotten used to. Rubrum stood, pulled out another dagger to hold with her free hand, hummed, and stepped through directly in front of Akii's path. Rubrum let Akii run right into the knife, stabbing on the right side again, quite near where the last wound was, but this time, Rubrum twisted the knife almost immediately after entry.
  15. Fox sighed. Well that cleared everything up for her. Fox turned her attention back to the landscape. She could make out something looming nearby, and after a bit of concentrating, sighing, and urgh-ing, Fox could make out Winter's castle. Well, that was progress, even if it was rather slow. She looked back at the the people, what they were doing, their tone had turned to be much more peaceful, it would seem, and then, they vanished. Just like that, the two figures were gone. About a heartbeat passed, and then the setting stopped. It was if it were frozen in time. The wind stopped blowing, the insects stopped creaking, the sounds of the ocean were gone completely. She turned to Circe, "What just happened?"
  16. Fox nodded, letting a faint smile touch her lips before she returned her gaze to the couple. She focused on the girl, trying to sharpen the image. Fox leaned forward, her face scrunched up in concentration trying to see.... The blur became just a tad bit more focused-- A sharp pain streaked through Fox's head, causing her call out, but before she could even reach her hand to her head, the pain was gone. When Fox raised her eyes to the girl once more, the focus was gone. Fox sighed. Perhaps she would try the other one. Fox stared at him, she tried to put all other thoughts out of her brain and focus one just him. There was no reality beyond this person to Fox, she focused until she could not even feel the ground beneath her... For a moment, she saw his jaw line, and it looked eerily like... Korin's?? Her surprise caused the man to blur once more. Fox's face was written with confusion. What was Korin doing here? And who was this other woman, why was she so upset at Korin? Fox thought that Circe had said that these would be her memories, but she didn't remember this at all... besides the scene being oddly familiar. Fox turned back to Circe, "These are my memories?" She asked in confusion.
  17. Rubrum tittered when the wall was formed, "Leaving already? But we're having so, much, fun!" Rubrum excitedly leapt onto the wall and sat on the ledge, watching the girl run in her unnaturally fast way for a moment. Rubrum always did like it when people gave her time to rest her legs, it was so kind of them. But back to work. Humming a few notes, Rubrum leaned forward, allowing her weight to pull herself in a plummet toward the ground, but right before she hit, she went right through the rip and found herself falling straight towards Akii. Rubrum reached out, and came slamming down on the girl from above. "Thanks," Rubrum wheezed at the girl as she rolled off. She stood up, and swung the scythe towards the girl's right leg.
  18. When Circe took Fox's shoulder, Fox did not shiver or flinch, for the touch was soft, gentle, and... loving. But as Circe spoke, something changed, the room became blurry, and Fox felt her eyes flutter for a moment, no, no she needed to stay... to stay... awake... Fox stumbled, down on her knees looking loopy, and then she was out cold, curled up on the ground. The blissful peace of slumber enveloped Fox for but a moment, before she felt herself returning to the harsh reality of life, though it was... not so harsh. Fox awoke fully refreshed in a field of soft grass. She sat up and looked around. There were two figures in front of her, talking to each other with their legs hanging over the cliff. But Fox could not focus on them, for some reason, they were blurry. And she could not hear their words either, just the tone and volume of the speech. Then the girl got upset at the man, she was yelling and crying. Fox cocked her head in curiosity.
  19. Fox frustratingly sighed, pacing around the room. "I don't know, it doesn't seem like something Winter would do to me, but if anyone wouldn't know, it would be me. It all makes my head spin."
  20. Fox felt herself getting frustrated, she was tired of this. "Well, all things considered, Nath did stab me, and Winter was the one who bandaged my wounds. Nath said he would never abandon me, but when I got captured again, it was actually Winter who gave me resolution! The real problem is this," Fox stood, the level of her voice growing higher and higher, "I have no freaking idea what Nath or Winter did, I'm so storming confused! What am I supposed to do? Judge people upon actions when I don't even trust my ability to see? Did Nath stab me? Did Winter save me? Did Nath save me? Did Winter kidnap me? The bottom line this: I have no STORMING idea what's going on right now!" Fox was yelling again, "I have no POSSIBLE way of quantifying or verifying what anybody does to me! How can I judge people off their actions, when I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE!" Fox huffed. Everything was out of control again. The agony of the chaos burned inside her. She pulled the dagger out of her belt and began furiously twirling it between her fingers in an attempt to calm herself. @Channelknight Fadran @DramaQueen
  21. Rubrum smiles, "I am, would you like to win?"
