  1. Rubrum stalked up into the group letting her sword drag through the grass. "I will play," she said sweetly.
  2. Rubrum grasped the boxes she was hiding behind as the ground rumbled. Her smile broadened, this one would be verrrry interesting. She crouched lower behind the boxes in case the child could see her, and called out “I’m over here!”
  3. Rubrum smiled as she heard something happening out there, something that sounded quite... interesting. This one should be fun. "I can't find you! Where are you!" At the end of the last word there was a inhalation that indicated crying.
  4. "I-I don't know where I am! Where are you? I can't find you!" Rubrum let a hint of desperation into her voice.
  5. Rubrum froze out of instinct when she heard a voice coming from somewhere in the street. She pulled out a card and scanned, realizing she had one left... Well, this newcomer could quite possibly fulfill the Task. Rubrum swiftly and silently ducked into the nearby alley, hiding behind some boxes, and called out in her imitation of a scared little girl. She was really good with accents. "Hello? I'm scared, is there somebody out there?"
  6. Fox gazed into Circe's eyes. "You and Nath sound so alike, the reason for your love is so obvious, I'm sure you had many happy days together" she said softly, allowing a hint of a smile to reach her lips. "I don't know why I trust Nath. That is the plain and simple truth."
  7. Rubrum weaved through the mass of dead bodies toward the door. Yes, this was.... good. Very good indeed. As she reached the door, she turned and shattered the silence by saying, "Thank you, Depravatione, it was a pleasure doing business with you. We will see each other again soon, I hope." With that, she kicked down the door with her boot, and took a step, her hooded blood-red cloak siloughetted against the mist-filled streets
  8. Fox felt a wave of anxiety wash over her, but in an instant, it was gone. "I... because he saved my life even after... he saved my life." Deep inside of Fox, two words completed the sentence: I think.

  10. Rubrum walked into a bar screaming in desperation for help. Did it count as a bar? Yes, technically, but it seemed more like a nightclub. It needed to be a bar for it count, so, hopefully the whole card wouldn't be ruined by a mis-destination. She gripped a bloody knife in one hand and a bloody knitting needle in the other. Would this reap the reaction Rubrum needed? Only time would tell. "What in the Sam Hill?!"One woman cried out, running over to see what was wrong with Rubrum. Yeeeees, that was one of them she needed. After some silent deft movements, there was a thump as the woman fell to the ground, a knitting needle sticking from the back neck. As Rubrum stood, her composure changed entirely and she let a smile shatter her countenance. "Who's next?" She asked sweetly. The bar erupted into pure anarchy, every man for himself. People shoving each other right and left trying to get out, even trampling each other in desperation. Yes, this was candid, bare, raw humanity right here, at its core. Rubrum inhaled in the fresh air of death."Ahhhhh, it's good to see you again, Depravatione. It's been awhile since I've needed your help." The people just needed to realized that there was no way out. In the meantime... Ah, there was one trampled person. Were they dead yet? Rubrum walked over and checked their pulse. Good, yes, just one more. There we go, let's seee. This person's not dead yet, but they don't really need to be, do they? She would back for him once he had died to... collect. The screaming became more high pitched and sourced from a main location. "Ahhhhhh, it seems they have discovered the locked doors." Rubrum said to herself, smiling and standing from where she was crouched. "Such bright little children." She pulled a long sword out of her cloak, and allowed it rest on the tile, screeching along as she walked. There were still people running and screaming, but they had mostly congregated against the doors, trying to break them down. "Alright," Rubrum said sweetly, "Now that the board is set, we're going to play a game." "Now look here," A man stood up and walked toward her, though she could see his hands trembling, "you cant just march--" *Shing* A head thumped to the ground, the mouth still frozen in defiance. "A shame, really, he would have made such a nice player. A las, we will have to settle with you all." She sighed, before perking up and saying, "Ok, so here's the game. Have you ever played sharks and minnows? It like that. I'm the shark, you're the minnows. Go." And the room, which had momentarily quieted, fell back into the bliss of chaos. Screams and last words echoed around inside the bar, until all was silent... ...save for a pen scratching on paper.
  11. Yay for a million posts! I came across it while on the coppermind as well, and I started out here by reading some articles (don't tell anyone but I found them kind of boring at first), and then I did an introduction post, and a sharder (you know who you are ) helped me by giving pointers to some threads to start out with, which I did. I actually had no lurking phase, I just jumped in and started posting, which meant I didn't know what I was doing half the time Something that has impacted me is all the people here are so nice. It's a hobby of mine to analyze cultures, and this forum definitely has a strong and unique culture, but the rules are not necessarily set in stone. Everyone is welcoming and kind and generous, even to people who make beginner mistakes and do things outside of the culture (cough cough me cough) There are so many memories, but I think something that will never leave me is the time I've spent on the fellowship and other RP's.
  12. Fox thought back. Her memories were generally a jumbled mess when it regarded Nath. "I... don't really know. I think I'm missing something from when we first met," Her voice got progressively quieter as she kind of talked to herself "but when he came for me..." She concentrated, and then looked back up at Circe, "Well, I guess that... yeah I don't really know..." Fox shriveled up just little bit, before realizing she was showing a bit too much of her true feelings, so she returned to her appearance of neutrality.
  13. So, I caught a baby mouse yesterday that was in my room. It was really cute and I low-key wanted to keep it, but my mom made me get rid of it. Luckily, she was running out of the house, and I don't have access to the family guns yet, so I was able to get rid of it my way, in a peaceful life-valuing way.
  14. Not anymore you don't. Fox is sitting in the corner munching on Queen's food.
