Helloooo peoples, I know it's been a few years since I've been on here, but I thought I would share this cool opportunity with you all. My sister is a researcher and is doing some research on the Sanderson fandom (see more below). She asked me to share this with the Sanderfans I know, so I thought I'd start here. My sister is incredibly kind and smart, and would love any participation, whether it's taking the survey or doing an interview.

Hello everyone! 

We are a small but mighty team of academic researchers (and longtime Sanderson fans) studying Brandon Sanderson's digital fandom. We're using methodologies from network science and sociology of literature to understand why fans love the Cosmere, and how they make community around these stories.

Right now, we are working on a second project that looks at perceptions of belonging and religious identity within the fandom. We're looking for volunteers for this project.

Basically, we have two asks:

1) Use the link below to take a brief, 13-question survey. This should take you 15 minutes at the most.

2) If you're feeling extra generous, take the survey AND give us your email address for one or more follow-up Zoom interview. Each interview will take 30-60 minutes and be recorded.

Hello my dear friends for the first time in a long time. I just finished Yumi: the Nightmare Painter, and I am in shambles. Literal shambles. I cannot. Keep going. In my life. Without. Sharing. With. Someone. Who. Understands.

Tears have been shed. Only two other pieces of media have ever brought me to tears before: Way of Kings and Nimona. 

I cannot with this book. My whole body has been tense for the last three hours as I've finished the sanderlanche. My body surges with emotion and sadness and happiness and shock and oh my freaking gosh what the hecc just happened.

Was at the regional championships for a speech and debate tournament this week... and uhhhhhhmmmmmmmm... WELLLLLLLLLL, I didn't really expect to advance because I thought everyone else was better than me. Well. I made it all the way to the finals round.
