  1. Never flew in an airplain, but flying is cool. @Flying is, too (sorry for tagging you... Had to.) TPBM learned about the history of a country outside their own.
  2. Warshaw, isn't it? I'm a Jew, my people's history is bound to include quite a lot of Poland stuff. And no, I haven't. TPBM lives in the USA.
  3. Well... Yes and no. Until not too long ago, I defined myself as someone that doesn't watch TV shows at all. Maybe it was true once, but currently - whenever I find a TV show that interests me I basically bingewatch it. Not necessarily all the time, though. I know. I saw your blasphemous post before you edited it, but it appears that you have since repented your sins. You shall be forgiven by the thread's overlord, methinks. TPBM can write in Shakespearean English.
  4. Hi! Not American, present. Thank you. TPBM is having a hard time organizing stuff.
  5. @Goob (what happened? You're not amazing anymore? I tagged you because you seemingly expressed interest in this.)
  6. Define book. Also, sorry for breaking the color theme of the page, I don't know how to change the letters' colors on a phone. TPBM was lately horrified by what some books can be based on (can't explain currently what horrified me).
  7. Sorry, no. TPBM noticed the color war at first in this thread.
  8. I have not. I actually can't say. I've started rereading Howl's Moving Castle lately, though I also did so with Dark Lord of Derkholm and the Homeward Bounders - at least partially. If you want to continue this discussion, it's probably better to do it elsewhere - there's a DWJ thread here somewhere, I'll try to find it. Edit: there it is! TPBM is @The Awakened Salad, creator of this thread, which was awesome through and through.
  9. S-o-m-e-t-i-m-e-s. Also, you will tell us your evil plan when the time for the evil monologue comes, right? I mean, otherwise you'll be breaking the Rules. TPBM has read (or heard of) either Dark Lord of Derkholm or Tough Guide to Fantasyland by Diana Wynne Jones.
  10. First thing first, perchance I just ate cereals for lunch, so I guess that the answer's yes. Second - you heretic! How dare you not read the whole Arcanum Unbounded? TPBM isn't a native English speaker.
  11. Hello, everyone-who-bothers-to-read-my-status-updates! Sorry if this is a bit weird, I'm currently in a weird mood.

Anyway, I've been considering starting something of an RP. Ignoring the fact that I'm already in three inactive RPs, some of them may be so partially due to a fault of mine. After all, I'm SPUCE in two of them (I can say so even while doing nothing for those games, as the "Self Proclaimed" is right there in the acronym).

Anyway, I've been debating on that, and decided to start off by asking here first - after all, people who read this are theoretically interested in some of my ideas. The idea was of a support group for people who passed through to other worlds or dimensions. It was inspired originally by a sentence from a book I read - the Wishing Spell, book 1 in the Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer. At first I wanted to write a fanfic about it, but now I think that trying an RP might be better and more entertaining.

    What do you think?

Thank you for reading my useless rambles!

Yours, Trutharchivist (aka TA, or Arch)

    1. Ixthos

      Ixthos

I'm not into RP myself, at least not at the moment, but that does sound fun :) I probably won't take part, or if I do I will join later, but I hope you enjoy!

Also, always happy to read your rambles ;)

    2. Goob

      Goob

      I would be interested.
The funny thing is that on another forum I'm on, this exact thing already exists and is in it's fourth season apparently

  12. Sadly, I don't. Also, Szeth_Pancakes and Robin Hatter, please don't cut the game. TPBM is Eluvianii.
  13. Didn't watch the whole series, but yeah, it's interesting. Also, what smart computer words? I don't know such words, not really, though my parents sometimes use some. In relation to them, I'm almost technophobic. And I won't give up until I find someone who actually knows what I talk about! But I have my rule, so... TPBM watched (or intends to watch) His Dark Materials.
  14. No. I didn't watch the movie. I did watch the clip of this song, but it didn't get stuck in my head. Not for long, at least. TPBM knows an OS that isn't Windows. (I'm not really an expert, but I usually use Ubuntu. Searching it now doesn't count.)
  15. I'm sad to say I did hold a cigarette. People just throw those all around, and someone has to clean up. I probably shouldn't have done that, though. Didn't smoke one either, anyway. TPBM has read this thread through.
  16. I somehow have. Still don't know how. More like you underestimated the human ability to annoy you on purpose. From my experience, "ninja'd" means: "I wrote a reply to something, and someone posted a reply just a nick of a second before I replied, though I saw it only after replying". Or something similar. TPBM has read at least a part of the bible in the original language.
  17. Well, technically yes, but I saw him on the Shard only after meeting in person, so... TPBM goes to school in Sundays, or did when he/she was at school.
  18. That's a great song! Too bad that the recursiveness of the song is lost here, though.
  19. Sadly, not the entire series. But some of it, yes. My favourites were Death's books. TPBM has already recovered from contracting Covid.
  20. Nope! Never dyed my hair, and never going to. I'm fine with its current color. Mine actually technically are. I have in my house a couple of physical Sanderson books, but none of them are mine, so... TPBM interacted with me outside of this thread.
  21. Discovery writing is a great way to work, I think. Not that I have any experience.
  22. Well, I watched the movie a week and a half ago. And it was amazing. There are a few things that seem kind of problematic to me - the whole legal part ends very quickly, Ned's magic abilities nearly act like Deus ex machina - but those are personal opinions, and overall they don't change the fact that I love the movie. And I probably should find a time to watch it again. At the cinema I watched, people cheered basically every time a character from a pre-existing film was shown (except for ones from the previous MCU Spider-Man movies), and it was... Well, I can say fun and I can say annoying, it was kind of both. Their excitement was pretty much understood and shared. I don't have a favorite Spider-man, and I don't see a reason to have one. All three actors (and characters are amazing, not only Andrew and his Peter/Spider-Man.
  23. @Knight of Iron, speaking of creators, it was a pleasure working with you on worldbuilding for LGFaD. You are smart, and very good at turning an innocent RP about searching for dragons to a world-is-ending, zombies and (theoretical) dragon zombies RP. That's a compliment, right? And let's not forget your elaborate work on the Realmatic theory of the RP... Long story short, you did a great job there. Hope that counts as a compliment...
  24. I kind of got into musicals lately, though my ability to watch them is limited. As far as I know, there aren't many musicals played anywhere around where I live, and I actually never went to the theater (well, I did to a movie theater, but that's different). I got to watch Into the Woods (not only the movie version), Hadestown (I blame Tesh), Tuck Everlasting, and after failing to find a full recording of the Broadway version, only listened to the songs from Jekyll and Hyde. I have no idea whether or not there's anywhere a nice, free recording of it. In relation to that: some of them are, but I'd hazard a guess that most people watch them preformed live on stage. Free recordings of full musicals are technically illegal, so even when there is a recording it's a bad quality one, and can possibly be erased by YouTube (I think).
