  1. In relation to the pumpkin... Probably give it to the nearest person I know who can make pumpkin soup. No jack-o'-lanterns - I don't celebrate Halloween. WWYDIYF the TARDIS IYP? (Someone must've done that one already... We had sonic screwdriver, that I remember. Oh, you may decide for yourself whether or not the Doctor's inside.)
  2. Hmm... Try to talk to them and see what happens. Those pockets canonically have infinite space inside them, I think we got to that somewhere in the first few pages. Also, the opening is somehow big enough for you to get those things out. WWYDIYF a black magical sword that talks to you IYP?
  3. 144. Assuming you have the necessary resources, you can sew one! I consider doing that. Also, I don't know how Halloween costumes stores work, but there might be in those costumes that include cheap, low quality cloaks. Just throwing around weird ideas. What's the best way to get over a YouTube addiction?
  4. Almost every time someone sends those, I'm curious to know what were the actual correct quotes from.
  5. Should've replied earlier, but: In this scenario, we assume they were taken directly from the moment of death. Otherwise I could say the same - that even in the afterlife, our ancestors see what happens in this world.
  6. Ben got up with a sudden movement and felt his head ache. What... Where... He tried to shake his head, sitting on the bed for a moment, waiting for the weird feeling that he wasn't all there to disappear. It didn't. Maybe it will, in a bit, he thought, trying to stay optimistic. But then he recalled what the professor said before and groaned. Being half dead for the rest of his life is not going to feel good, plus... He was shaking. Whatever it was he went through while he was... Dead... he remembered it only in glimpses. A strong pull towards something... Grey forms floating around, getting sucked to something far away... He breathed deeply, shakily, trying to relax. It will pass, at some point, he reasoned with himself. I'll... Get used to it. Eventually.
  7. Find the closest ant poison, I guess. And then die with the rest of the human scum, because it clearly won't help. Or, perhaps, just close my pocket. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a miniature Titanic, but whatever works! WWYDIYF an imaginary monster IYP?
  8. Actually, yes! Europe. France, to be accurate. I usually live somewhere between Asia and Africa. TPBM really likes pockets.
  9. Not Brandon. Probably Diana Wynne Jones - her books are amazing, I'm not sure I can really explain it all. But honestly, I'm not sure I really have a favorite in this area, though I am an avid reader. Have a lot of authors whose works I really like, quite a few of them actually British. how many languages can you coherently speak, and which?
  10. Hello and welcome to TPBM. Worry not, for many people make this same mistake. I will assume that you were to write "TPBM will write their favourite way of eating potatoes", to which I'll reply with no, I won't. But, if you wish to behold this sacred secret, you may open the following spoiler box: Beware of opening those boxes, they answer a question that was erased. I left them for reasons of my own. Also, I don't go shopping for pretty notebooks, sorry. TPBM wants to own a staff.
  11. The Unknown Novel, don't you know that Halcyon Girl is relatively new here? Also, can you explain why one thread that forbids statements inside a whole forum full of threads where those are allowed disturbs you and the Wandering Wizard so much?
  12. All right, final episode in the season:
  13. Hey, upvoting blog entries is possible! I did not notice that. Also, I would like to not be turned into a Sith lord in the near future, thank you. Though Brandon apparently thinks they're moral, upright and good (that's a name of an Intentionally Blank episode). Hopefully going to dive into Reform, Conservative and Ultra Orthodox Judaism soon.
  14. Probably throw them, since I don't know whether they're Kosher. Also, Tesla coils are actually something in electronics, named after Nicola Tesla. WWYDIYF Tesla's machine from tge Prestige IYP?
  15. I mean... You can hide spoilers for the book either way, someone might be in the middle of reading the first while stumbling on this thread. The TV series seasons roughly correspond with the books, though certain characters are introduced a bit earlier - a main character that first appears in the second book has a storyline in the first season. I, personally, read all the books, so whatever you say about them I can respond to - unless it's from the Secret Commonwealth, but I don't count it for now.
  16. So I didn't find a current thread for this series, and it's too bad because I think it's a really good one! So, what do you think of it? Did you watch the HBO series? What did you think of it? And did you know that season 3 is coming out in two months?
  17. All right, I know I'll just put down another age when two where already mentioned, but... I'm pretty sure he wrote the first book at 16, and published it in a family publication or something. He continued the series later, after it was republished under a more professional publication, I think? I may well be wrong. His worldbuilding might not be all that original, but I did enjoy the book. I think he did add bits of his own flavor, though you can see quite a few Tolkien-copies in the books.
  18. Hello and welcome, fellow archivist! (The other half of my name comes from something from Stormlight Archives.) I usually make standard warnings - be wary of random cookies, they might be spiked; don't double post, you can quote multiple people in one post if you click on a plys somewhere or just click quote on more than one reply while writing yours. Also, the Shard is a place where everybody is very nice and polite (from what I've seen so far), but madness lurks around the corners. I see you didn't reach Words of Radiance yet, so don't be too confused if people talk about being sticks. You'll get to it eventually. There is a subforum for discussing it, I believe. You have a point; I personally read some (maybe even most) of it, though I didn't finish yet, nor do I have any idea at which point I will.
  19. No you're not. You just didn't take a Memory of every Cosmere book. On another note, I'm an artifabrian now! On to design new and exciting fabrials!
  20. You also didn't read Emperor's Soul, I presume? Anyway, it's something from there, a race of people in the Rose Empire on Sel. They're the rulers of it.
  21. So my brother tell me. Yet, I see no point in accepting the game. I don't care whether I win or lose in a game I don't play. I lose enough times in games I choose to play as it is. You could also make a claim that I resist the game out if spite for my brothers, but that's just involving family. I don't see how anyone has the authority to tell me I play a game whether I like it or not. But that's beside the point.
  22. Ah. This thread. I can either lose in the name of comradeship, or... You know... Tell you all that I don't play the game. Please don't make a weird WoT reference in response to that.
  23. Hi! I've been converted through Discord a while ago by Ene, just found out this was a thing. Shouldn't really care (I discuss stuff on Discord), but hey, why not join? Season 3:
