I feel like I need to clarify that my vote on Ash is not exclusively because of his vote. It was because of the reasoning he gave i.e. not wanting ties, although he did not have a problem with ties just a couple of games ago. And I'll have you guys note my elim read on Lotus (which from the reads list, was the strongest and which I would have followed through if she wasn't killed) and there's no need for elim!me to put pressure on a teammate or bring attention to her that early in the game when everyone else was null reading her. Edit: Also, I didn't defend him because I felt Mat was village. I actually had a null read on him at the time (still sorta do). I broke the tie because I didn't see any reason why he should die.

Hmmm, okay we can look at it in two ways. If I was a village!Nicroburster, I wouldn't immediately agree to Nicroburst someone and I'd be wary of Bursting an elim, especially as you said it was pretty early in turn so I'm not sure if I'd read that as village for now. It was in the game you ran, LG75? I remember him trying to tie in consecutive cycles, but he was an elim then so.... and yet him saying he's never going for ties sounded weird. Noting that Bip seems to give quite a bit of emphasis on her retraction from Experience like "Hey, I'm not involved in this" that it sounds defensive. I think it's like the 3rd time she's talked about the retraction. Suspicious of that. To be honest, all votes on Mat were easy :P. That's the thing, there really isn't any contrast because, fundamentally, the vote to avoid a tie is basically a vote to save Mat disguised. Only reason to break the tie was to protect Mat, because Experience was dying anyway, so the end result is saving Mat, no matter what he reason gives. And he ends up saying that here: As such, I'll join Drake on Ashbringer.

So we will get to know if the kill was from a Hemalurgist or a Kandra. Well, not clearly, but if there's an extra spike in the market, we can know for certain that Hemalurgist killed Lotus. Otherwise, the kill could be from either Hemalurgist (on a villager) or Kandra. Kandra had kills even cycles in the last run so it's possible they might have kills in odd turns this time. I think this is specifically for Drake, but the difference I'd think would be that there was no reasoning at all for votes on Mat, and Drake actually stated his suspicion on you. If I found Mat suspicious, I would have gone after him irrespective of that fact that he's a good villager as I have in previous games in the first cycle when I did find him suspicious. What does this statement imply? That his vote is not suspicious because he his reasoning was to avoid ties? Is he not doing the same thing you find suspicious - deflecting onto an inactive to save Mat? I initially broke the tie and made it 4-3 when he voted, and he says he didn't want a tie meaning essentially he did not want Mat dead because that's what not wanting a tie means in this case as if there was a tie then there was a chance of Mat dying, and he was fine with Experience dying anyway. (I'mma split replying to stuff from this cycle cause boxings :P)

Okaay here's the read list I was talking about: Ashbringer - Elim read because of the "I don't like ties" thing because I remember Ash specifically going for ties in previous games. Biplet - Mild elim gut read hmmmm probably just wariness because of her previous elim game. Szeth - Okay, I think I'm taking back the elim read and change it to a village one, Szeth jumping to conclusion that confirming one's role as confirming them as village feels like from a villager. Mat - Was reading him null till yesterday, but the fact that no one was willing to save him leans me toward village. From in-thread stuff, I can't differentiate between village and elim cause he plays very similar game when he's both. Lotus - Elim, RP without game discussion Araris - Mild elim read, regards to the defence of the stab vote, see my previous post Drake - Yeah, anyone going around offering info claims, I'm leaning elim until I'm thoroughly convinced otherwise. Maill's claims are still haunting me from LG74 :P. Archer - I gave my reasoning for the village read earlier, and I don't see anything suspicious with what he's posted this cycle. Devotary - I thought someone said she was being her usual self with the vote, but I actually found her different. Usually, she votes for one of the leading trains, as in almost always she can decide who dies in the event of a tie, or create a tie in case the votes were close. This game, she decided to vote on a player without any vote. She did explain her vote, and it's understandable. I'm not reading this as elim, it's just...different from usual and I'm noting it. Books - Gut village, I liked that vote on Drake actually, contrary to Matrim Everyone else is a null and/one haven't spoke much.

You honestly believe that you'd be fine killing one of the most active players when compared to an inactive player? That.... sounds like an easy way to get rid of an active village without wasting on kill on them tbh. You can dsay all you want about 'not really bothered with who dies between them' but you did make the vote which preferred Mat's death over Exp's. And since the topic of missing votes came up, I feel it's important to state the mistake I did the last time when I was extremely paranoid of an elim vote manipulaing their way to victory in the end game because I thought there was an elim Connector and noticed Mat's vote missing and deduced he must either be a village Sparker or an elim Connector and I decided to take a chance and kill him and he turned out to be the village Sparker...so to the potential Coinshot, he careful while making assumptions xD I for one don't mind that the PMs are down. Open PMs are a nightmare especially with the current meta, I know roleclaims will leak their way into the elim camp and with the way things were going in the first cycle, it felt like there would have been a lot of claims. And Drake was threatening to go all Maill on us :P. Reads list to come later, I need to re-read D1, and might be busy with work.

Hmmm, as of now, my vote looks to be a waste. I don't like the reasoning behind Mat's elimination, and right now, it looks like he's being voted out for nothing. I'd rather give Mat more time as he's a good villager and Experience isn't any better, but if we're gonna CC then it's better to do it now and preferable to an active player's elimination.

Wait, what deal? Treveneux was not in any sort of immediate trouble. Well, at least that's what he thought. He was sure his contact was not Isendwel. He had no way of knowing that, but for some reason he was sure of it. The schematics he had passed on through a middle had found its way to her, so there wouldn't be any incriminating evidence against him. He had hoped she was careful enough to not leave evidence leading to his contact, but well seeing as she kept the schematics where it could be found, he wasn't hopeful of it. Though he was corrupt, he wasn't lethargic or careless. He had taken care to give the false name for the logs at Railway Department office, and he never showed his face for more than a fraction of a second. He needed to undo it, and undo it quickly. He didn't want anything to do with the Rebels, so the quicker they were all dispersed from here, the better. The Rebels wanted them here for a purpose, and he was caught in the crossfire. He listening to plans of others and- What?? One of them involved walking to Elendel? Well I suppose that's one way to disperse people, and there's no harm is having less people here to be victims of the Rebels' plans. But... first things first. He'd have to look at the train sabotage to begin with.

I'm actually having an elim read on Szeth Pancakes. They just poked Azmine, then reiterated the poke on Azmine like they aren't gonna move until he posts. And then indulged in a bunch of RP posts without saying much about the game state or the players. So, Drake, could you elaborate on this? Cause the way they've been playing in thread is very similar to how you described Ashbringer.

Mhmm, yep Why Azmine in particular? Yeah, we've only played 2 games together if I'm not missing some games but I don't think I am, and yeah two games is a very small sample size, hence no vote. But the differences were clearly visible to me and I thought it was worth mentioning. And yeah you don't fully feel like MR43!Drake, hence my wording "feel more closer to MR43!Drake than LG66!Drake" This particular sentence actually: It feels like the thought process behind this comes from a village mind, and it just feels like a thing that wouldn't usually occur to an elim. Yeah, the body snatch was a mechanic from the previous run in which a player gets converted to kandra on the original kandra's death (death can be deliberate by choosing the successor or when death occurs without knowledge, a random player is converted) and I don't think there's anything malicious in his statement, as I was assuming there's definitely the body snatch mechanic because of how integral it was to the kandra mechanic last time around. So I'd say it's a fairly obvious assumption to make for a player who played in the original run of the game.

Benjamin Treveneux Copper (or, in short, Ben T. Copper) was freaking the heck out. That's what the train schematics were for???? The heck??? You see, Treveneux (yes, he usually went by Treveneux. Couldn't really be going around pronouncing he was a Ben T. Copper, could he?) was on the take. And it was usually limited to odd jobs like passing illicit information about police operations and maybe exert influence into arrests and releases. Just something he could earn extra out of. Nothing major or harmful. Just to set him up for a life after retirement, you know? But this? HE HAD NOT SIGNED UP FOR THIS. Railways in Elendel basin was nationalized of course. Privatization was seen as harmful and PRE mainly controlled the railways of the entire region. So, when he got an offer (huge one, mind you), he didn't think much of it. Just head into the Elendel Railways Department building, ask for the schematic, make a copy and give it to his contact. Simple. Treveneux had tried to absolve himself of any guilt his actions would have caused, because you see, those are caused by actions after him, you know? If it isn't him it's some other bent copper. The people who should be held accountable are the ones taking action after him. And despite this thinking, he tried to take jobs that don't seem to cause harm to life. So, this time it was different. The sabotage turned Garmet into a massive trap, and after the first day's action, he wasn't liking what he was seeing, This was going to real bad real quick, and he'd be one of the major cause for it. Hi and hello! I've been watching Line of Duty quite a bit recently and yep, I decided to play as a corrupt police officer. Just clarifying that the name doesn't have any to do with allomantic or feruchemical copper :P. The combinations were not pure chaos and there were really smart combinations the last time, like the already mentioned Brute-Augur combination, which allowed the user to sustain an attack AND see who it was that attacked him. So I'm pretty sure that there would be some smart combination like it in this game too, and I'm inclined to think Striker gave it a lot of thought about the combination than just RNG'd it. As Ash said, there are powerful combination that can make the game unbalanced very quickly :P. Possible Kandra changes could be an ability to assign as successor before death and perhaps changes to the frequency of kills even though I feel once in two cycles is still the most optimum. Anyway, Kandra needs to balance the elim and village numbers, so eventually, there will be anti-village indication we will find, so we don't have to searching for the Kandra. Village read on Archer for his reads on Manukos and Drake. I sorta disagree with this because they needed to balance the village-doc numbers, so I never saw them as village allies before. If we get an elim early, they'll be likely to kill villagers, but if there's quite a bit of false eliminations going about (like it happened in the previous game), they might be wanna go for suspicious folks. So yeah, not village allies in my book. They're an agent of their own dictated by circumstances. The two games I've played with Drake, there were clear differences. The rerun of this game, LG66, he was laid back and relaxed. In contrast, in MR43, Drake was a lot more proactive, asking opinions and questions to the other players and just seemed a lot more...free? I don't really know how to explain better than that, but Drake this game feels more like MR43 Drake rather than LG66 Drake, so I'm reading him as elim rn. (Drake was village in LG66 and an elim in MR43, if it wasn't clear :P). I'd like to see more before I vote though.

Ah, glad I was right about Mat but that's about it xD Good game elims! I suspected Bio initially but the "this is exactly what I would have done" comment on Szeth when I made my case for Szeth elimination kinda made me read Bip as village.

@StrikerEZ, so events of this game occurs 25 years after the events of LG66? Just for RP purposes, I need to see if I can bring the hazekiller back :P. And yeah, sign me up!

Sart I don't see a Trapper kill buddy.

@StrikerEZ has reserved LG77 and LG78 so I assume he'll be running it. He's co-GMing the MR right now, but it'll probably be over by the time sign-ups are done?

Me-Quinn team doesn't make sense because I suspected her the most among the people likely to submit the elim kill if they are on the elim team on C1 and that's why I targeted her. which made her out her role, which in turn would make her sus when she didn't die or wasn't sabotaged and also would make her tailor the targets to read like that of a villager which wastes the role and her scans. So there's no reason for elim!me to scan a teammate when it reveals the entire thread. As for me and Bip... well I don't have any reason why we can't be on the elim team smh other than the fact that I'm village but I was elim reading her first and then one particular sentence caught my eye which gave me strong village read and it's been all positive about Bip since then. whaddo this mean? Edit: Wait why do you have two Trappers??? Who can kill each cycle??
-
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy?? I've been asking this since forever smh :P.
-
Okay okay so we try to eliminate 2 elims by creating an e-e train that's.... easier said than done plus elims could hammer and win so this only works if elims are inactive *sigh*
-
@Illwei, no I was actually talking about the whole game so far. There's been a few votes on Exp and I honestly don't remember why, so I don't get it cause there's no reasoning given at all. It felt similar to RandBy in the sense that both felt like CCs. And the 'eliminate the whole village' is probably to accommodate for the Doctor mechanic too, in addition to the Agent stuff and Trapper, but pretty sure we've exhausted all that cause two village Doctors seems op. Yeahh, I was thinking about this + there was no sabotage last cycle at all so donno if that was forgotten or something else Why? As I said, I can't find any reasoning anywhere so I'm plain confused at this point. I- did everyone else forget about Saks? Elims can hit someone with a Sak and we can take it to the next cycle 3-3. Is no one requesting Saks? -.-' Quinn
-
We are not, in fact, anywhere close to a loss :P. Anyway, I don't know why we're CC'ing when we're like 5 cycles in to the game, that's weird. And I don't know why we're voting for Exp, we looks village to me. Wait, huh. According to the rules: @DeTess/ @StrikerEZ Does this mean that my (or to you, a hypothetical Navigator's :P) target scan starts working from this cycle? Is my ( hypothetical navigator's :P) vote not going to be randomized?? I am now suspecting everyone in the game except Gears, Bip (yes I've come around after reread) aaaand Exp (this is because his suspicious on me did not feel malicious and from an elim intent, idk how else to explain it). Also maybe Sart on gut. Changes from last read list would be Quinn as elim cause I asked if she could tie the voting and she didn't give a reply to it. Also, I'm not seeing any other vanilla villagers smh so now I'm glaring at Quinn's scan results and coming up with a situation where elim!Gears was brigged by elim!Quinn to protect him from Trapper attack. Illwei for preferring Az over Szeth, though they're probably not teammates - sooo to keep things consistent? Idk, I feel one of Szeth/Illwei is an elim. If someone voted for me 4 cycles in a row, I'd be a little more suspicious of them than Illwei is/was of Szeth. Feel like I'm forgetting something... but oh well.
-
Which would have been good! :P.
