  1. Okay first things is to avoid paranoia about Sja converting our top trusts. So in order to avoid this, we do not give trust reads at all. Or at least we just say who we think is village without assigning any importance to how trusted they are. This is to avoid the case where we might end up trusting a player and then have to worry about Sja Anat converting that player and then us being paranoid of a trusted player in case they aren't actually converted. Another thing is quite meta which might devolve into IKYK situations. If we find one single elim, then we can actually kinda make a guess of who probably wanted them converted. Players close to each other, stuff like that. Now that I've said it, they might not use this tactic but still, IKYK :P. We need to remember that particular elim was converted for a reason and find that reason. I'm traveling rn, not sure if there's internet to sent this post, but more in the morning.
  2. Condensation @Araris Valerian, I reckon we'd be fine with a 24h day. Others can chime in if it's fine.
  3. Yeah, they need a location to Night kill.
  4. smh no wonder it's a 3 person team, it looks like they all have double roles. Child Coinshot and now Overseer Seeker. I guess @Chantara, you'll have to take a shot and try to guess Connie's location tonight as well.
  5. Heh, I took a shot in the dark like Chantara too. Illwei is a Seeker :P.
  6. Mat, I was getting the feeling that perhaps the elims were trying to get cred by bussing someone other than Devo cause she was the Coinshot and was thinking that they were bussing Chantara and Connie was an innocent village who got caught up in it. But then they had started the bus on Illwei already and the fact that Devo changed from Illwei to Chantara meant they either re-thought the bus or went for the hammer, and I also looked at this - Steel/Connie on the train opposite to Illwei. Chantara on Illwei again, that's twice in two cycles on close trains, so yeah I agree that it's Illwei/Connie. Not sure if there are more but the presence of Coinshot makes it likely that it's just 3. @Matrim's Dice, could you ask you roleblocker friend (obviously if they aren't Illwei/Connie :P) to block one of the them? We either block the kill or the location scan, though I think they've got the scans of two cycles (N2 and N3) with them which they haven't used if they didn't overlap with the ones who revealed their location. @Tani, could you protect Mat? I think he said he lives in Elariel? I swear smh at everyone telling me illwei was village -.-
  7. Um, @Matrim's Dice - did you ask them why they RB'd Squirrel and how their got his location?
  8. We have a probable role-blocker and Coinshot in the elim team. If we can reveal our roles, we can further reduce the pool of players, and I'm Seeker, so I can try to find the role-blocker or Coinshot.
  9. it ain't likely to be you, don't think it's squirrel - that leaves 6 players - Illwei, TUO, Tani, Connie, Devotary, Chantara. No one wants to killwei, so my next best vote is someone who protected illwei :P.
  10. This has all the makings of a Mat-Illwei team smh. Mat, why do you still trust Illwei? >> The fact that you revealed your location to Archer to be scanned is.... a goo thing but no one is there verify that smh (and I've seen the kinda stuff you make up as an elim hehe :P) @Illwei, about Tani, I'd expect her to be a little more.... chirpy? jumpy? excited? if she was an elim. Personally seen it when I GMed her in the 3 faction game. Willing to vote out Devotary if I can't vote out Illwei smh. Also, Chantara. Any of the three.
  11. I - were we not, as a majority, village reading Archer??? th? smh it's not tunneling if I'm right :P. @Matrim's Dice, da hek is dis vote??? smh I no longer village read you -.- [also yes, i'll be neediing your reasoining] And @Chantara, why do you suspect Dalinar? Actually, I'm reading the situation exactly the opposite way of how esooa read it. It feels like a vote on the side-train to avoid vote pile up. Cause there's probably 3-4 elims left and not more than 2 would have risked voting for Archer so there's gotta be 1-2 no votes or side-votes in this cycle. So - So 1/2/3 of [Mat, Illwei, Esooa, Squirrel], 1/2 out of [TUO, Connie, Devotary] and 1/2 of [Tani, Dalinar, Chantara]. Removing decently confident village reads gives - 1/2/3 of [Mat, Illwei, Esooa], 0/1/2 of [TUO, Devotary] and 0/1/2 of [Tani, Chantara] Feel like Tani is waaay too detached from the game for an elim, so if there's an elim among side voters this cycle, Chantara is the most likely. And @Devotary of Spontaneity, any reason why you didn't vote?
  12. Archer, I don't have the info you have on Illwei. She'd been saved from almost-death twice in two cycles and most of her votes are the ones I didn't like or on the ones I trusted. That's why she's the one I suspect the most, and disregarding info you talked about, I'm not sure why she's being village-read.
  13. Sorry, was a bit busy for the last couple of days and I'm catching up rn - Alright, it's reasonable to assume that Kas and his paranoia would never have allowed him claim his location to anyone else, and hence Kas was location scanned by the elims N1 (this is assuming Kas wasn't Coinshot but... I reaaally don't think any Village Coinshot would have targeted Kas as early as N2 or took a shot in the dark since there's no way they'd know his identity). This also makes sense because Kas is arguably the best villager and he'd be the optimal/best target for location scan in N2 for them. If the elims do not have any more location, then they're probably going to kill their N2 location scan which means they will not push on the person they scanned last night. Something to observe. You stop dodging my in-thread questions first :P. @Esooa, I have read Mat as village from the first relevant post I've made here, where I mentioned I agree that Archer - Mat are v-v. Depends on the elim team composition tbh, but bussing is v v rare in D1. I assume you're talking about this statement : The 'not null' part is a typo smh, I'm just reading this now. I meant Chantara and Kas ARE null. So, obviously just because I'm not village reading them, I'm not gonna vote for them as they're null. And that was my last post before this, so not sure what you mean by 'doesn't engage with person who he thinks he should be town reading'. I'm voted for Illwei because I suspected her, and asked her why she was voting for Mat, because she didn't give any. Feel like I haven't properly explained my main reason for the elim read on Illwei. She recalled an example in which she felt Mat was an elim and she was village, but it was actually the other way around. People tend to recall similar stuff when they're in similar situations, so when Illwei falsely remembered Mat was elim in that example when it was actually her, I feel like she remembered it in the first place because she's an elim now too. Illwei @Archer, I assume you coordinated with Illwei in PMs to remove Mint? Or else your vote here doesn't make sense as it would have made it 2-2-2 without the knowledge of where Illwei's vote would go. This vote is weird because not 4 minutes ago, you voted for Illwei and then you suddenly think Illwe is very likely village. This is not exactly elim behavior unless it was like you decided to bus and then had a change of mind. But weird nonetheless. Do you have any other suspects? I haven't seen you mention anyone else for the past 2 cycles, and not even mentioning other elim reads is elimy behavior like you don't have to make up reasons for reading others as evil when you pretend to have tunneled on a sole suspect. You may turn around and tell me I'm doing the same thing, but I'm have other elim suspects too. I guess someone alignment scanned Devo? Cause that's two votes without a reason. If so, let us know, cause the only reason I've got to suspect Devo is that Illwei-protecting vote. Village - Dalinar, Connie, Mat, Squirrel, Archer down from strong village to mild village. Kinda paranoid about one of Archer/Mat being elim but eh Evil - Illwei, Devotary, Chantara (not with Illwei) About Esooa, now that we know her location, alignment scanner (or Coinshot :P) can target her and check if she's telling the truth but I wouldn't put too much weight into the fact that she didn't ask for Squirrel's location, because it seems like Squirrel proposed a trade and if she revealed her location, Squirrel would have felt obligated to reveal his too, as he was the one who proposed the trade. Elims are more likely to do that than directly ask for the info. Also, Elkanah was NOT in Hastings in N1, if that helps anyone.
  14. Okay so stuff - village reading Archer, Squirrel, Dalinar (last post pushed him into village). Unsure of all the votes suspicion on Mat, I'm still reading him as mild village. Disagree with the reasoning Dalinar gave, because he's done the 'ofc I'm village' thing in other games too. And the other reason was the the 'vote as an experiment' bit, and him voting without needing to give a reason. Again, I think the reaction to this statement has been a bit over the top. So I'll be not voting for him. Won't encourage a Steel vote either. He's not said anything of importance and alignment indicative. No, Elk's case is a bit weird. The question again is if he's evil, why reveal the names of tenements he found out? Villagers with allomantic roles know only their own tenement so any info given would be helpful to us. I'd like to see Elk's reply to Mat's accusation. @Elkanah, any reason why you revealed two locations to Mat and different locations to someone else? Don't have anymore suspicions to add to D1, I still think Illwei and/or Esooa is/are off and Mint too. Chantara and Kas are not null, shame I'd expect to be village reading Kas by now smh :P. Illwei whyu votin' for Mat?
  15. @Illwei, my conclusion is he needs to be more contributional. In all seriousness though, Steel has been an active eliminator before (iirc LG78?), so I don't know why he'd want to try out this method when he's better than that. Still would like to see contributory posts before judging though :P. Yeah, I'mma complain about this. One of the main reasons to propose a risky but village-helping gambit is to gauge reactions of other players, if they're too enthusiastic about it or if they're too opposing or if they're stoic and poker-face like, the reactions give indications of the players. Archer was like the only person to comment on it smh. lmaooooo I keep thinking operation security xDD So Dalinar has claimed to TUO, Mat and Devotary about their location, and yeah there's a lot of reasons why he might not have been killed as y'all have told like pocketing scope, avoiding suspicion, etc. But there's also the fact the Dalinar could have lied or Dalinar could have been an elim. I donno, I'm finding the 'please don't tell anyone else' statement a bit performative after revealing their location to three players. @Devotary of Spontaneity, I understand that you didn't want Illwei to die D1, what's your read on her?
  16. It was just a couple of jokey statements too smh, it wasn't me being distracted, it was just me being me :P. I disagree in the sense that I don't think it's crafted in an attempt to look contributional because it doesn't look contributional at all :P. Like, I don't see an attempt at all, it just doesn't look contributional :P. No longer village read on Chantara, back to null. Kas being weird. Squirrel boy feels village.
  17. Okay, I've finally read the rules and caught up and.... I've got bits - Mint's first post feels like two-legs-in-two-boats kinda thing. Like giving a risky thread-reveal option and then mitigating it with what would be commonly accepted option. Unsure about the read. Kinda agree with this, kinda feel the same. I vaguely remembering either suspecting a player or catching an elim by using this irrational read in some previous game :P. Interactions between Esooa and Illwei hmm - feel like one of them in an elim, but not both and rn leaning towards Illwei, which is kinda funny because - you can use the same principle but build a village trust circle. you see, alignment scanners need to have the location of the players to get scans right? and the earliest they get the scans the better it is for us. so I was thinking to reveal my location so that the Tineye can scan me, Lurcher protects me and one of the location roles [or me if I have a location role heh ] change my location so i cannot be killed the next cycle. It would work in theory and I would have already claimed but for the presence of elim alignment scanners in some Kas-esque kinda distribution :P. Though I do think that 4-member elim teams would not have a wasted role like alignment scanner. Lemme know if there is something I've missed, or else I'll let y'all know where I live ;). [and illwei if you're elim, thanks for giving us this idea :P] Chantara feels village-ish. And agree with someone about Mat-Archer, they do feel v-v. Hey, v-v could be like a new emoji which conveys....relief? satisfaction? :P. v-v also sounds like a French person rapidly agreeing with something/someone :P. Hmmmm, people find things similar when the situations are similar hmmm. And also just rushing through thoughts here, something about what Mat said. We should get kinda an idea about the elim team house composition because if they get a successful kill off this cycle, then we know that there is at least one in their team belong to the same house as the N1 victim [this is assuming no one has claimed their houses to elims in PMs and they would then know the names of the house they're missing, if there are any]. So, it'd make sense for the Night Crew to target the N1 victim so we'd know the location of at least one of the elim members. Elim reads down to Mint and Illwei. Rollover is at like 3:30 am for me and just had my second covid dose and arms heavy, knees weak, though there's no vomit on sweater just yet :P. imma head to sleep bai. Also, have I mentioned this? Arenta sounds like an Italian pronouncing the word rent :P.
  18. Hi hello, apparently my Saturday ended up being too busy too. My Sunday though, should be relatively free, so I should be able to catch up, read the rules and read yous folks before the EoC. Just wanted y'all to know why I wasn't 'hollering back' at yous. :P. Be back soon!
  19. Hey, I initially didn't join this because I'll be v busy till Friday, but if you're starting on Friday anyway sign me up! Call me Hollaback Atcha :P.
  20. Sorry, my game's not ready yet.
  21. The thing is, it wasn't even an analysis. It was an offhand comment about someone telling her to kill Kas. And it did give off the vibe that she made it jokingly, like she has many times before, like saying to someone they left a message in the elim doc. Now that is different from, say, the reads list that she posted, and Archer's analysis of it, which was was actually helpful. What I was wary of Ashbringer's analysis was how sure he was that she wasn't lying because he made statements like "There SHOULD be an elim in X, Y, Z" which seemed to exude too much confidence on something that was based on an assumption. And to be clear, I did mean to say "I think Illwei was actually lying" I've never seen you vote on your suspicion via RNG before, so I'm still suspicious of that vote :P.
