  1. Uhh. Either 3.5: Yeeted into the Cosmere, survive chasmfiend and live in Cosmere on Roshar or 4: Peacefully, in the arms of my beloved.
  2. Hey there everybody.

Here's a fun story about something that happened yesterday. So, a couple weeks ago, when my beloved @DoomslugLuna was doing Anastasia, I was like,

Hmm. Luna's really busy... I should plan and do something to give her a bit of a break.

So I texted my mother and said, "Hey, can you give me Luna's mother's phone number?"

I got the number, and began planning my devious plan.

The plan went as follows: I would go to the store and buy some foodstuffs, then get some blankets from home, and when Luna was least expecting it, kidnap her (used as a way to say pick her up (it's a thing she and I have we are strange we're aware)), and we'd go on a little picnic to get away from the world for a few hours.

Due to scheduling conflicts, it was pushed back a couple times. So much that it was two weeks basically until it actually happened. But, with her mother on my side, it happened yesterday. I appeared at her house and was like,

"Hey. Come on. I've planned something." Of course, she was like, "Oof sorry, I've got homework," and me and her mother, at the same time, were like, "Not anymore you don't."

    And she was like ":/"

    "Okay."

So she and I went to a park nearby, where we set up next to a pavilion in front of a nice lake, and we just chilled for like 3 hours.

Talked, cuddled, kissed. The whole shebang. It was really nice :]

I also read her the Prelude to the Stormlight Archive, so now she's been exposed to it and can't avoid it no longer and will read it in full soon I swear.

But she was pleasantly surprised and happy and we had a ton of fun so.

    Yeah.

I didn't spill my plans here, because well,

She's here. So I couldn't risk her finding out. But yuh.

Unless of course we go with the alternate timelines logic. Crap, we really need some sort of standardized time travel logic as a society.

I was actually asking around today about which school of thought people subscribe to for time travel. They all boil down across various stances between Determinism (assume, for example, a Book of Everything that catalogues all of existence and cannot be incorrect) and Free Will (assume, for example, that us living beings can do stuff as we please). There are three main schools of thought, with several sub-schools:

      • Fixed: Nothing can be changed. Implies there is no Free Will. There are two primary version of this:
        • There is no such thing as time travel or timesight. The approach most sci-fi/fantasy authors take to avoid the mess. The Book of Everything is hidden away and ignored.
        • Time travel and/or timesight does exist, but all things inevitably weave back to how they were determined. Often seen in greek tragedies of self-fulfilling prophecies. Effectively, the Book of Everything can be read but cannot be changed regardless of how hard you fight against it.
      • Dynamic: Anything can be changed. Implies Free Will.
        • Time travel and/or timesight exists and allows changes to occur. The Book of Everything is not absolute/does not exist. This leads to grandfather paradoxes.
      • Multiverse: An awkward compromise.
        • There are infinite Books of Everything, each spreading throughout an infinite spectrum of possibilities. Most prominently featured now in Avengers: Endgame.

I, however, subscribe to Ted Chiang's philosophy. If you haven't read it already, I highly recommend Story of Your Life. It's the book that the 2016 film The Arrival is based on, and slaps a gazillion times harder than the movie ever will.

      (The movie's still great tho).

  4. Writing music that elicits emotions of longing, nostalgia, sadness, or other similar emotions. Writing stories that elicit emotions of grief, pain, loss, reverence, nostalgia, and other similar emotions. Writing stories. Writing music. Writing. 7. Yeah I know. I'll figure smth out. Gives me Sleeping at Last vibes honestly, the just flowy improv. So, I'll work with that in mind.
  8. How dare you put Mighty Fine in quotes. How dare you. I'll have you know that Mighty Fine is the best burger place you will ever have. They're burgers, fries, and shakes are unmatched. The crinkle cut fries are salty and crispy, the burgers large, juicy, and delicious, and the shakes are thick, creamy, made with Texas Blue Bell ice cream. Do not put Mighty Fine in quotes.
  9. I don't think I'll need that. If I get around to this, (i might i might not idrk) I'll let you know but my process is listen to song over and over and mess around with singing until it sounds good so :3 I'll let ya know
  10. I'd love to. You want me to?
  11. Light Pool Calano sat, breathing heavily, before taking a deep breath. "Let me.. let me rest for a moment." He said. His mind felt... lighter, but he was so tired. He knew he would do the next part of the Path, but for now, he needed a break. Otherwise he would collapse. After a bit, he looked at Wizard, "It went well. I am very tired because of it, and very, very broken," He said, and paused, "But my Soul is pure now. I am ready for the next part of the Path."
  12. OH MY GOSH HE LOOKS SO GOOOOOOOOOD I LOVE IT SO MUUUUUUCH it looks so much like I imagined him oh my gosh you are an ARTIST holy crap i love it i love the light ropes too that looks so cool.
  13. The Path Calano went through several hundred steps, and by the end, he was barely holding on. He'd been openly bawling for many, many steps already. But, there was one left. Calano took a shaky breath, stumbling onto the final cobblestone in this vast void. He looked up at the memory. And saw twin Lightswords fall onto Emma's head. He stared, watching it repeat, over and over, watching Emma die over and over. He was so broken, he just stared, mouth agape, tears streaming silently down his face. Why this... why this as his final memory. He opened his mouth to speak, to acknowledge forgiveness, to fix it... but nothing came out. He fell to his knees, crying, wishing he could give up. There was no way this could be worth it. But then, a thought occurred to him. It wouldn't be for a long time before he realized that this thought wasn't completely from his own mind. The thought was, If you give up now... how will you avenge her? Calano stared at the ground, contemplating this. Then he stood, and looked at the memory, still looping. "I am sorry," He forced out in a broken whisper, "I am sorry. I am so, so sorry." He paused for a long while. "But," He croaked, "I will defeat It. I will watch it burn and die. I will avenge you, and pray that your spirit forgives me." The memory stopped looping. Then slowly, slower than the other memories before, burned away. And a portal of light opened in front of Calano. He stepped through, and opened his eyes, sitting up with a gasp. He looked around, then started crying again. He felt so much... but right now, he was just... Tired. @The Wandering Wizard @The Bookwyrm @Being of Cacophony
  14. Got my High School transcript today....

    My GPA is 3.1.

For my school. See, my school is an IB school for grades K-12, and I've been here my entire education. I don't know public school education. And the workload at my school is significantly harder than public schools.

With this in mind, according to the expectations and workload standards of the state school system...

I essentially have a GPA of about 3.9.

    I am very cool.

Are you doing the Diploma program?

I'm in it, but I'm not going for full diploma. Too much. I've done all three CAS activities I need, I just need to put the reflections in by beginning of May.

I originally was going for full diploma, but it became too much, so I dropped French, after 6 years of taking it, and switched it out for journalism, officially becoming co seated.

      But yes. Diploma program :P

  17. The Path Calano looked at the memory as he watched, through his own eyes, himself put a hand out, sealing Emma away with the Nethergrim, lest the Nethergrim attack and destroy the Clinic. He'd never forgiven himself for it. He looked long and hard at that memory, letting words and feelings bubble up, before speaking. "What I did to you then," He said, "Is unforgivable. And yet, somehow, you forgave me for it. You forgave me for so much, and it's hard for me to find the courage or ability to forgive even myself. But... I do. I forgive myself. The past should not be dwelt on for long. I acknowledge you," He said to the memory. The memory burned away in a flash of light, and a larger chunk of the Dark weight on his mind lifted. He took a shaky breath, and took another step. He wondered in the back of his mind if his soul would be able to keep up with this.
  18. The Path Calano's second step showed him a memory of when he was a young boy. He'd had the opportunity to steal something, for the benefit of himself. And he'd done it. Had it been worth it? Maybe in the moment. Calano looked at the memory, and... forgave it. He wasn't really sure himself how this process worked, but whatever it was, it worked. Many of the next steps were like this, leading up to adulthood. And then, he was faced with one of the harder memories. Dooming Emma to the Nethergrim. @The Wandering Wizard
