  1. Hmm. I’ll probably need to reread EoD a couple times to make sense of it— A few million dollar questions: No kill; does that mean (in order if my personal ranking of likeliness) a conversion? An attempted and failed conversion? A blocked kill? Melkor creating an item? Misdirection? Maybe switch the second and third there, idk Do we take the tie at face value or is Araris or Dannex actually Melkor? Either way there was a coin flip. I doubt this is worth pursuing. Do we know how the VC ended up like that, does it make sense? I think this proves Archer’s role, but as this game is awesome that isn’t a guarantee of alignment anymore >> And I guess Wiz flipped vanilla. For some reason it didn’t occur to me that was an option. Dannex, any messages to report? @Kasimir on mobile so quoting is undesirable but does notMelkor!Conq still stand with Fifth’s correction? Also, it went over my head why that was a thing anyway. Just because he had to be the reason the votes disappeared? And you can say you’re always immediately caught as elim but it still felt good And besides, I’d be careful mentioning that when I know of three people who have separately admitted suspicion of you
  2. I leave for five minutes — No time to figure out what happened, let the votes fall where they do :P.
  3. To be fair, Melkor is solo rn and if they’re about to die nothing is really ‘too risky’ for them :P. Edit: but I do agree Archer is likely village here
  4. Ah. That saves me the trouble of deciding whether or not I was confbaising my reread. Guess so :P. I probably could come up with a way you’re lying (PMd someone who claimed Orator and v reads you enough to cover for you, while you quietly convert them today) but like Occam’s Razor and I’m not gonna exe and find out on that one, at least not right away. That theory is more than bonkers enough to discard xD If you’re manipping that way I’m good to stay on Araris, then. Though I do request JNV over dannnnnnex.
  5. Fair enough. There’s no elim vote manip today. Hmm. Good of you to make this case sooner than five minutes before rollover I’ll look into it real quick, I’m not sure if the complaining about losing immunity should be a point for or against Melkor!Archer and it depends I think on how subtle it actually was. I think it’d be a point against if it wasn’t subtle though it would be funny if e!Archer said outright that elims will be subtle and then did the opposite.
  6. Nah, I don’t disagree about TUN. But I also know that he does that as a villager too, and assume you know that as well :P. Having fun things to do is always a good excuse for lower activity though. I think I agree with the Dannex voter assessment…? Bookworm is an easy yes. Wiz I’m more conflicted, there’s a few things that make me pause (ie, the unvote but that’s not the only thing) and he’s not new new, and yeah Archer is never to be trusted :P. Speaking of which @Archer is there a reason you’re still on dannnnex, and did you figure out what you wanted to vote Araris about? I’m leaning vil on dannnex atm. JNV is a wild card right now and with his single post isn’t a terrible exe. Better than dannnex at least. TUN and Wiz are both only okay and Conq is a poke from Kas he never took back. Lowkey agree with whoever said they’re getting eh vibes from Kas, I’ve heard that more than once I know. Gonna explore that later. Even though the last time I said that he was elim and killed me before I could. I think I’ll stay on Araris for now. I’ll vote JNV at EoD if the votes don’t change. 2 hours left, right?
  7. Just be careful who you pass a kill to. Don't just give it to anyone who asks :P. Edit: Though I suppose it's only a kill in the hands of a Son of Feanor. If you want your vote able to be manipulated by the Orator, sure.
  8. They enter if Finwe dies, not Feanor. (Dang confusing F names ) But I don't know; my guess would be RNG.
  9. Yeah :P. I added an edit after my unvote, if you didn't see that. Not exactly touching on that but something similar. I don't know if role claiming is a good idea if we think Melkor hasn't converted yet, since then they can pick and choose from the claims even if they are identified. I can't imagine there isn't a way for Melkor to fake claim, though, I don't think Fifth would have designed a game where we can mass roleclaim D1 and immediately catch Melkor. But I haven't really thought about it. Your main point isn't wrong though. If it was because of his easy TUN vote and his otherwise missing-in-action nature, then we'd be in agreement. Araris
  10. Every time someone votes da[n=?]ex with no reasoning and no other reads it makes me think they're copy and pasting a previous vote without having actually read anything. dannnnnex I guess the bandwagon nature of this isn't really a point in dannex's favor, since when that's normally the case it's because evil teammates are less likely and that obviously isn't in play here. But I think I dislike the recent dannex votes more than dannex himself.
  11. Do you have a reason, or I guess if it is truly sheeping, can you explain it in your own words? Any thoughts on other players?
  12. It's not the rules analysis post by itself at this point, it'd be that you blatantly pointed it out and then never did it :P. I think though that doing that is more NAI than a lot of people, including me on occasion, think, since you're right that you usually get exed for doing stuff like that as either alignment. Edit: So I think I lean elim on Araris now, I guess? And I mean. I said that one time :P. 7.5 hours left is a reality check lol da[n=?]ex, to follow Fifth's format in the player list.
  13. Yeah. Hence my not exploring it until we starting discussing Which is a good thing, discussion is good. And I've noticed that overnight I think two similar TUN reads were given, by Conq and Shining. That's essentially what I came to, yeah. Play it normal. There isn't a complete downside to Finwe dying, but I think if there's an argument not to purposefully out them it's that it wouldn't be very nice to just hand him over to Melkor so we could get our Silmarils :P. ...The Messenger is village, for sure, I think. At least right now. Unless Melkor can have another role? Or do you just mean, for the game, in general, since conversions :P. Devo's still a she :P. Worth noting though, that's a typical JNV starting post, grammar and all () and I actually read it village most of the time, including the time when it wasn't. What can I say, I'm a sucker for effort clearing. Hopefully not as much anymore; I did correctly identify e!Kas that one time. But I wouldn't vote them solely because of that. Fair enough, I suppose. Disagree here (you use me as an example of this later, which is funny-- just because I said I would do it doesn't mean I will, especially since I implied I wasn't gonna PM anyone anyway. Could be Finwe!me covering for myself. Of course, Finwe!me wants Melkor to waste a turn trying to convert me, and Finwe!me would honestly just be sad that he can't be converted :P. So read that how you want). But my instinct is to protect the conf village role as long as possible. So... why are we strategizing for Melkor, that seems generally unhelpful for the village xD I get knowing what they're gonna do is helpful to us, but thinking we know and being wrong is pretty much the worst so I'd rather stay off the topic and let them try to figure it out :P. I'll jump on the EarlyAndDubiousReads train. Dannnex I don't have a problem with at the moment, despite his vote. Idk. I guess if he still has no thoughts at endgame that's a problem but it's early so I'll give him a pass for now. Though thinking twelve hours in is 'early' is dangerous when there's 24 hour cycles >> TUN I probably wouldn't vote today even if I do lean more elim on his first post for the same reason as Dannnex; if he's said effectively nothing else by then he's a more viable target. My gut is leaning village on Kas and Archer and JNV but I'm telling it politely to stop because auto village reading the people I auto village read never is helpful to anyone. I'll sort it out. Devo and Conq are null to me, I'm wary of snapreading the latter after my tunnel last game. I like Shining's post but it's nothing I don't think he could fake. Bookworm Edit: Just realized that Kas' tag of @Araris Valerian was for someone who's actually playing. You around? I think I saw you recently browsing.
  14. And I agree with that. Another point is that I didn’t even read TUNs post as wanting to die at all, but I don’t know what to do with that. Nothing? :P. Anyways, off to bed for real now. Will send some PMs tomorrow, unless I’ve already been sent all the ones I would make. Do we think it’s worth it to limit PMing to force Melkor to make a greater shot in the dark for a conversion, or is it better to have communication since it’s basically a shot in the dark for them anyway?
  15. I think Archer put a lot of stock into him ‘wanting to die’, but more just that it feels like TUN could be preemptively pointing it out in the hopes of avoiding it altogether. Which I guess can be read as either alignment :P. But either way not something that’s worth more than a passing comment at the moment.
  16. Hi hello welcome back Yeah, and one conversion is less than I was expecting with twelve players, though maybe it was inspired by Devo and Vorros’ recent win. Whatever the case, I’m not complaining :P. Point of order though, I don’t think the elims would have been pointless. Reads would still be made, and if someone survived an exe that’d be a bit of a flag (though I’m not sure if there are other ways to do that). But that’s a pointless line of discussion for obvious reasons :P. If that TUN post reads village to you then we read that post differently Probably my only post before tomorrow but I know myself so it very well could not be
  17. My name is Tarell the Toothsayer. I tpeak with a tisp (Lisp) I think, anyway.
  18. You’re still on the list
  19. Right I forget that you always make this offer Please make me a character
  20. Good job exercising better self control than the rest of us who are playing the game to see how it works with school
  21. Obviously, the girl stabbed down at him. It had been wishful thinking to hope for otherwise, but that hadn’t stopped him from hoping anyway. On instinct, Mat raised a hand and his wrist connected with hers as she swung. He was lower than she was, having leapt downward on his first attempt, but the small disconnected part of his brain just barely had time to note the move’s recklessness. He should have run. To his surprise, the knife fell out of her grip upon impact, and Mat snatched it up before the girl could react. Just like that, the fight was over. He blinked. How’d I manage that? “I’m not going to hurt you,” he said, edging towards the meat. “I’m just hungry.” He grabbed it and ran.
  22. You have no idea how much I wanted the Mat role xD
  23. The LG list is as follows: @Ashbringer @little wilson / @Elbereth @StrikerEZ Ash again @Lotus Then Kas, Striker again, Ash again, and Striker again Signups for this one probably can wait until after Fifth's QF begins, I think that's how this works.
