  1. "You know there's something known as life sentence, right?" She did have a point about when she had stopped Marie from speaking though "Anyway no matter the morality of my previous job, Marie's now free and as long as you and your boss can keep her under control, er... poor choice of words but you understood me, everyone agree this is better than what we were previously doing"
  2. "You're not being fair, she was my prisoner not my slave."
  3. Folorian switched his focus to Zaria's Reacher in emergency when he realized she was talking to them, he still missed part of what Orb said "different from people... I don't remember why, but you are." "Er... I have one of the weirdest Nightwacher bane and it made me miss whether your sentence started with a 'yes' or a 'no'."
  4. He wanted Marie to join? Did he think he could manage her? Maybe she reminded him of his brother? "Some people would disagree with you and say it'd makes thing easier. Those people give me the creep"
  5. Adilie sat at the table and started to eat "I assume if I try to take control of Marie your boss will come break it again?" @Kingsdaughter613
  6. There's actually more to Folorian's bane than just a sensory inhibition, in fact his senses are working perfectly fine they're just taken care by the subconscious part of his brain. What the Nightwatcher did was a magical brain-surgery (that affected the Soul and Spirit so it cannot be healed by becoming a Radiant) that wouldn't be removed by an anti-magic field just as if someone that had their limbs regrown by Progression entered the field their limbs wouldn't disappear Aren't he seizures magical too and therefore wouldn't happen? On another subject, I've seen Sanax used to be an Elscaller, does he still follow his Oaths?
  7. To be fair, it was more than most people of the Cosmere knew about investiture "You mentioned the Rhythms? As in, the Rhythms of Roshar?" That was surprising, right now Folorian could only see her as a blur but he remember how she looked at the Traders Heaven and she was definitely not a Singer
  8. I'm not sure that Sibling is happy with their bound but they're definitively not unhappy with it Well sorry Sibling, Tumi got there first
  9. The seizures brought the memories back? Presevation's wings this girl's boons and banes were odd "This was my idea too, not many people know it but it's possible for a Compounders to become a Savant, for a Bronze Compounder the side effect would probably be to be extremely sleepy whenever they're not tapping bronze" "In Scadrial? I thought that was a side effect of your Nightwatcher bane?"
  10. Folorian going somewhere alone was rarely a good idea so him staying with Poller while Aln searched for information would be best Sleep issue? Wait, he was leaning on an orange walking stick could it be bronze? He had no way to know without focusing on it and it'd be a bad idea now "Poller I have a very weird question, what investiture do you have and was it exactly the same in your other version?" His idea was probably wrong, but if the original Poller was a Ferruchemical savant maybe the side effects would end up affecting him as the Forgery weakened Folorian followed Poller's gaze and recognized Zaria, the Radiant that had tried to help them in the Traders Heaven. Folorian moved so he could see Aln, Poller and Zaria at the same time, he hoped there wouldn't be a fifth people joining the conversation, focusing on three people was hard enough that he would miss all the non-verbal communication and could miss some of the thing said things but if a fourth arrived it would be a could "You're here to help us? I though you were headed for the Cognitive wings, amnesia and Nightwatcher's banes are things they see literally all the time so they might to be able to help you and your spren..." He had forgotten to count her spren in the number of people to focus on, there were actually four, meaning he had to chose between focussing on all of them and miss some of the things everyone said or not focus and Zaria spren and miss everything the spren would say Spren often choosed to only speak to they're Radiant so he decided on the latter
  11. Wouldn't Sanax's passive investiture nullification suppress Aln's boon?
  12. Adilie fully stored her connection to Marie, as her fear was linked to her it disappeared. Talking with her in that state would have been really awkward so she just followed Ladashwi into the dinning room
  13. Among the greatest artistic blurs I've ever seen
  14. Well apparently you do not see what I mean because I've just explain why I thought it'd makes sense: they could not have got close enough to Herdaz to make Radiants Also as @Honorless said most sprens don’t care about combat processes, the Radiants are Honour’s knights, not Valour’s knights
  15. That is true indeed. I don't think it's a problem but I can see why you think it is The sapient sprens (of which the radiant sprens are) avoid the Cognitive Realm around where the War is because before conquering somewhere's in the physical realm Odium conquer it's equivalent in Shadesmare, which is easier since it's far less crowded. Really, even if they wanted they could not go close enough to create Radiants
  16. A great step? Was it really what he'd done? It felt more like he'd tried to take a step but it's height had proven to much and he'd fallen back instead of advancing @Ashbringer
  17. "Because a confortable bed doesn't always meen a good night of sleep, sadly" "Er... something your mother will explain you in a few years" Adilie froze completely when she saw Marie
  18. To be fair anti-investiture react weirdly with Godmetals, and by weirdly I mean "apparently not at all"
  19. Savantism comes far slower to Knight Radiants than to Surge Fabrial users like Soulcasters so I doubt Kaladin is anywhere near savantism As for what a Gravitation savantism would do, I have no idea. With Allomancy savantism made stopping to burn a metal was dangerous for you but with Soulcasting it made that continuing to Soulcast was dangerous to you, I'm not sure which one would be true with Gravitation. Wait, if being a Stromlight Savant (aka a Savant at using the speed boost and regeneration of Stormlight) works as Allomantic savantism and one of Stormlight is a drive to act then a Stromlight Savant would lose their drive to act, which happen to be the main symptom of depression That'd be quite ironical for Kal if it'd happened
  20. It would not, first because it makes no sense that the pattern of their Rhythms would be the same and second because there's no reason for Anti-Rhythms to be the only things that repel gaseous investiture, it'd make sense that "a link to the the Shard that killed/is killing my Vessel" would to Only in water, and Harmony's Mist doesn't
  21. They can. From what we've seen Ishar do a high Oath Boundsmith can stop them from leaving but there would be enough time for the Godspren to see they had leave before Sadeas or Moash had attained that level Probably for the same reason he sent the visions, Hounour had asked him to try
  22. Dominion is not just the Shard of being king, it's also the Shard of Conquest which is something Dalinar is moving away from, as evidence by him appointing the Mink to replace him as the one who oversee the strategy Devotion is not the Shard of being devoted to something, it's closer to the Shard of Love. I won't say Dalinar doesn't love, he definitely loves, but let's compare to Adolin If someone from SA were to pick up Devotion it'd be Adolin not Dalinar About Ambition on the other hand, I could see that happening, Unity does seem like a stupid name for Honour+Ambition and apparently Ambition isn't Splintered so that'd probably be the easiest for Dalinar to fuse with Honour
  23. Did you read the same post as me? Because I understood it in the exact opposite way you did
  24. Aspire/Change would be Endowment I think Honour = Connect/Connect Dominion (~Conquest) = Connect/Aspire Devotion (~Love) = Connect/Endure Odium = Connect/Change Preservation (~Stillness) = Endure/Endure Mercy = Endure/Connect Wisdom-ish = Endure/Aspire The Unknown Shard = Endure/Change Ambition = Aspire/Aspire Endowment = Aspire/Change Autonomy = Aspire/Endure Valour = Aspire/Connect (with an argument to exchange Valour and Endowment) Ruin (~2nd principle) = Change/Change Cultivation = Change/Aspire Invention = Change/Endure Whimsy = Change/Connect I'm far less sold on that fourth one but I can't think of anything better, the main issue is that Ruin is the impersonation of the force leading to the heat death of the universe which is not really something encompassed in Change/Change (though Change/Change works very well as Preservation's opposite) Change/Endure and Change/Connect are worse and for Change/Aspire well Ruin (~2nd principle) = Change/Aspire Cultivation = Change/Endure Invention = Change/Change (maybe exchanged with Cultivation) Whimsy = Change/Connect Meh. I could see the exact same argument being used for Invention=Change/Aspire If it's true you would have Cultivation=Change/Endure because making things grow I personally like Cultivation=Change/Aspire because of an issue I ran into when I first made my Dawshard grouping: Cultivation and Edowment's methods to influence the worlds are literally the same. Originally this was a problem because it made putting Endowment in the Change quadrant redundant with Cultivation being there (which, I assume, is part of the reason she's in the Aspire quadrant in your version). Now we can make that issue a feature and assume a Shard will be at least somewhat similar to it's reverse Shard
  25. It stopped killing people centuries ago And yes it's not real mist, no more then Breaths are
