Why voidspren are intelligent in the Physical without a Nahel bond
mathiau replied to Rorzikel's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Does that mean before BAM was Unmade every spren could think normally in the PR? -
Potentially huge revelation in the Elantris bonus chapter
mathiau replied to Ba-Ado-Fisherman's topic in Cosmere Discussion
First I don't remember anti-light sucking in light (well, not more than Voidlight does) nor Skazes warping it. Second remember that the fact that the Aon for hope is Ati was an accident so yes, it can be a coincidence. -
Trell is not Autonomy, at least not anymore.
mathiau replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Good to know Pre-era was after the False Desolation, there's no way Odium would have corrupted Trell while in Braize He said some might be interested, which is indeed something but if Odium had corrupted one of the Bavatars then Bavadin wouldn't have needed Wit to ask her to move agaist Odium, she'd have done it on her own. Is Trell confirmed to be a Shard? Note that creating a group of people trying to overthrow a planet's God would be a completely Cultivation approved way to conquer a planet, using the colours usually associated to another God to throw confusion would most likely be fine too. Destroying it might be less so though, but then again she might consider it similar to removing a sick tree so it doesn't contaminate the other -

First, why? Is this an exception I forgot or is there a weird rule? Also I've seen Brandon pluralise it many times He did not, he said that the gold and red box was related to the gold and red men in a very significant way, the fact they're both gold and red could just be a motif of the Set that comes from the fact that red and gold looks good together So you're going with the assumption that Trellagism's Trell was already corrupted and that for some reason Ambition is not trying to avenge have one of the Bavatars corrupted? -

? It comes in many colours Gold looks cool-> you put gold on your warrior-> people call your guys the golden guys Unless you think there's a possibility there was a Set (a Religious organization) without Trell they yes, it invalidate the exact point I was answering too. Also at some point W&W was supposed to happen before SA Yes the reason Brandon changed it is a timeline conflict but no it can't be one as big as "I have Odium in W&W but he's not free yet", it's more likely "wait I'm having Roshar enter space age a little to fast if I do it that way" -

mathiau replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
We've seen white for both Devotion and Preservation, black for both Ruin and Dominion and literally every other colours for Endowment Because Gold looks cool and Red is for corrupted investiture. First the Unmade were most likely corrupted before he got stuck (assuming they did get corrupted, we technically don't have confirmation of that though it's almost certain). And second they were most likely native to Roshar. Yes but the most likely one for that is the Windrunner Unmade (because the Enlightened Windrunner glyph is the only one not to be of the same colour as the one of it's normal order) but the only conceivable Unmade for the Windrunners it BAM which has basically no chance of not being native to Roshar It doesn't Trell and the Set is already active. -

Not everything golden is of Odium, just like not every ambitious people is of Ambition. Aside of Miles Trell's follower didn't seem very Odium to me. That seems like something that would make Autonomy jump into the war, not to mention impossible to do while shacked to Braize. -
Venli was probably lying/being lied to by Ulim, I don't see how a power of Odium (and therefore without the ability to affect air pressure) would be able to do anything to highstorms winds. As for the summoning part it was probably about the Everstorm and not a Highstorm which would require manipulating amount of Investiture similar to the whole essence of an Unmade.

Does Dalinar have living Shardplate?
mathiau replied to Ba-Ado-Fisherman's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Wouldn't that require unsummonsing Urithiru? Note the past tense. Also this is obviously only about Godspren Boundsmiths, if someone managed to make sapient a gloryspren they would probably be able to make someone a Boundsmith with a Shardblade, though their Surge would probably work "normally" and not in the weird way Boundsmiths does so they might be considered an eleventh order -
I see that but there seems to be a punchline at the end and I don't get it

Potentially huge revelation in the Elantris bonus chapter
mathiau replied to Ba-Ado-Fisherman's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Devotion and Dominion aren't that opposite, and yin and yang are far more than just light and dark. Preservation and Ruin are stillness and irreversibility and saw themselves as irreconcilable enemies, despite that when Ruin's work is finished everything is still. "Aon Daa uses anti-Investiture" is a conceivable supposition but it require the supposition that AonDor can modify the Dor itself (because since the Dor is the same everywhere, even if it's Dev+Anti-Dom, there's nothing in the Dor that can spontaneously explode otherwise it would already have exploded) and "it just put energy in the air, which result in an explosion" is another supposition that require less other suppositions and aligns better with the fact that Daa means energy -
Potentially huge revelation in the Elantris bonus chapter
mathiau replied to Ba-Ado-Fisherman's topic in Cosmere Discussion
No, Skaze are described as sucking it, which is very different. The main difference being that Dom and Dev saw themself as complementary (yin and yang) while Pres and Ruin saw themself as opposite I don't like the idea of calling Light a gaseous Investiture that doesn't behave light Roshar's lights, no one would call the Mist Harmony-light. Anyway they're using the Dor not gaseous Dev or Dom How could two sounds with different frequency be almost opposite? The reason being that Saze see Trell as an enemy, like Lera saw Ruin Mercy is just as much opposite to Honour as she is to Odium, while Devotion is basically love. I don't see your point, there are many way to do explosions -
Probably with Honourspren being 1/0, Cultivationspren being 0/1 and Mistsprens/The Sibling being 1/1

I don't get it

If you wanted to create a message to the future that you didn't want your contemporary to see, would you put it in a drawer that belong to someone else?
-
I think there's a WoB that not only all Shard can but most of them did but I can't find it @Lunu’anaki apparently we're using this version of the thread
-
There are many reason why she could have, one of them being "we have no idea what would happen so we have no idea what the side effect could be". Also don't forget Melishi betrayed the Sibling at some point it could have been by not listening to their warning
-
Third option: the solid-fluid version of the reaction is just slower than the fluid-fluid one
-
According to Smartvangian every Unmade have some relevance to future sight not just Moelach and Sja-Anat, it's possible it comes from what the others did, just try to imagine how Nergaoul or Yelig-Nar would do it
-
Making the ground so soft it's basically liquid would be Tension, not Cohesion So basically learning magic is like learning how to ride a bicycle? Seems legit

Enlighten Truespren didn't exists before the true desolation so that's not possible. It's possible that the Truthwatcher using drawer 30-20 used another method to Voidbind but they can't be Naze-daughter-Kuzodo since both the sentences "We are uncertain the effects this will have on the parsh. At the very least, it should deny them forms of power. Melishi is confident, but Naze-daughter-Kuzodo warns of unintended side effects." and “Don't tell anyone. I can't say it. I must whisper. I foresaw this." come from emerald in the same drawer. (By the way it's Kuzodo and not Kezudo)

Now that I'm thinking of it, does Roshar even have water tables? Humans were burned not burning, this is more likely about the Division Fused
